I was playing at satire. These days everyone seems to think that as long as it's set in space and has blasters, it's Star Wars. To me, Star Wars means a lot more than that.

Yes, we did use to have JKA screenshots. I think Caelum was going for a simplistic, stylistic design for the board this time. I don't mind it, it looks elegant.

It's a laptop without a CD drive. Yea I might have to reformat it. Default was Windows 8, couldn't choose . I was gaming when the stupid upgrade popped up and the mouse tooltip was right on the OK button. *grief*

That once happened to me. I then held down the poweroff button and hoped nothing bad would happen...Then nothing bad happened. Windows 8.1 never came.

Cloud is cheap. There's a GSP that actually runs on it. I'm gonna try it and see how it goes.

There are some hosting companes that run cloud like a vps...no elasticity, so to speak...

Makes me wonder, is it the distance, or the great firewall of china causing that?

Were you expecting any better? I mean, they're practically in the same region as Australia, and Australia is known for getting really bad ping in multiplayer games.

Doubt it is the distance. I get 40-60 to Hong Kong (and its just next to China) servers and 150 to Australia ones. So it's wonky.

I'd give it about a day. If they still don't, contact Didz. If you have any security measures to block getstatus/getinfo requests, that will cause them to not show up.

I have 2 Windows VPS' for JKA, pain in the wallet to keep up in times like this.

Ah. So if it never comes back, you're not going to host any servers anymore?

Maybe just my 2 Makermod servers on a tiny VPS. Not worth paying for empty servers for life and if I had an event in JKA, just rent a VPS for that month only.
