    Selkath

Selkath is an NPC, created specifically for our mod, and for now is not available for public download.
  2. As an old SW fan, I am watching carefully the whole this story with the new Episodes, the two spin-offs and the new series. Some rumours are really good to hear, but some are just rubbish. It's a wonder, that Star Wars is entering the new era in its history. So many things at once, but in any case nothing (yet) to see, to wait for... I think, there wasn't so much secretiveness about Episode I at the time. Not to mention, that Episode II was already a clear plot even before they announced everything, whilst Episode III was obviously a connection between two trilogies. Episode VII is different. It has always been more of an illusion, which would never live up to anyone's expectations. The whole activity on Ep.VII front reminds me the words of my mother, who said, that George Lucas had always said, that Star Wars could continue for ages - after I showed her the Dark Forces II game back in 1997.

    EMP77 VM

I feel as if I saw this skin for Tavion a long time ago. Nostalgia.
  4. Thanks, guys! Yes, the levels are in need of more shaders for the stones and walls, perhaps. The skies will be changed for sure. ) The main part in improving is for better lights. After battle, you'll be able to talk to some locals and learn the opinion on current Galactic affairs as well as the events of the long forgotten past.
  5. DANTOOINE Dantooine is a well known planet to most if not all Star Wars fans. Once home to a Rebel base, it could be destroyed by Grand Moff Tarkin, if the Death Star was close enough to it. The planet got a lot of attention in KOTOR, where it was a system, chosen by the Jedi to create a small Academy, which is better known as the Enclave. During the Jedi Civil War Bastila Shan and Revan found shelter here, and later the Sith brought devastation to both the Jedi and the local estates. Some time later it was revisited by the Jedi Exile and her team, while searching for the lost Jedi Masters. During the Clone Wars a large battle occurred on Dantooine. By the time of events of the Dark Pastime, Dantooine survived through a lot – including several Imperial attacks, the latest being the operation against the refugees from Eol Sha, destroyed by the forces of Admiral Daala. A group of farmers, however, managed to establish a new settlement near the local spaceport, and it seems calmness and peace eventually came to Dantooine once again. Nevertheless someone reported to have seen strange people in red armour, moving through the old ruins. Local Republic task force immediately contacted Luke Skywalker, and several Jedi were sent to investigate. It was believed, that this mission would help to achieve two goals - starting the investigation for the locals and learning more about the Jedi of the Old Republic. Luke Skywalker himself arrived here to see everything for himself, but the latest crisis on Almania won't allow him to stay here for too long. 01. Attack on the farm This how this map looked in 2005-2007 or so. 02. Ruins of the Past 03. The Lower Level of the Academy More planets coming soon.
  6. All circles should have one center. Perhaps, the Sith Empire logo should be larger, covering entirely the black circle. And inside this red circle of the Sith Empire - the mandalorian logo should be placed. That is, if some fan would like to use screenprinting this SC logo on his/her t-shirt with one paint color. In the given case it's impossible to make an invert picture. I have to remind, that mandalorians were not a part of the Shadow Collective - officially... Otherwise the people of Mandalor would rally against them. Yes, Maul was in league with them. But Shadow Collective was supposed to be a crime union, so mandalorian logo is out of place there. =) Nice try anyways.
  7. The green version looks a bit like Dr.Bushroot from DarkWing Duck cartoon. =)
  8. Curious stuff, though it's not big news: there've been quite a lot of such mods/ports (etc), which re-created original SW games in new graphics and with new engines. This one indeed looks very interesting. But wait, we've been playing JO and JA. And these videos represent very different games...
  9. I feel like it's time for us to release our Imperial Female officer as well. =)

    Bith

I always wanted to add some creepy aliend to our project, and finally we did that a few years ago. Biths suit perfectly into the story, as well as NPCs in the background. I spotted them back in Episode IV of course, but they became so popular - I guess - after the release of KOTOR. I do remember the quest with the Bith scientist as well, whose severed arm we find on Nar Shaddaa in KOTOR 2.
  11. Just 've read spoilers for 10 new episodes of Clone Wars 6 season...

  12. I remember this one from Episode II, but they also make a cameo in SWTOR. Good work!

    Bultar Swan

I agree. And this one looks very much like a new model rather than just a reskin of a released character. =) Good work.
  14. WIP: Sulon locations; Ancient Droids.

    Nikto

Well, he is both a ganster and a merc. I assume, he might be more than that. This model is not to be used solely for one character. =) As many others do. Also the model has several skins (as most other models too).
  16. Bothan Face and Head Textures under development - 90%.

  17. Twilek Male base skins complete.

  18. Radius - unfortunately doesn't work with sounds in Jedi Academy, but it worked just fine, when I tried it with Half-Life - a far more older game, that still had quite an engine. You could even add echo there. But it's another story. As for your problem - there is actually a solution. However, it will limit you in building your map. From a certain point of view. This means, that you can't achieve the necessary effect in large open areas, the sound would still be heard more quietly from a distance though. If you want to make a sound, that can be heard in just one room, you must make it completely enclosed by brushes and at least one door (no windows, sorry) with a special brush inside this door, which is covered by an Area Portal (yellow) texture from System pack, which is in the GtkRadiant. The door must be thicker than the Portal brush, but the two must be of the same size. Once the door is closed you won't hear it outside. The moment the door opens, the sound will be heard playing until the door closes back to its original position. If there an enemy inside and he spotted you already, it is most likely, that the sound will be heard as well until you kill him.
  19. You must lower the ears - everyone is speaking about eyes, nose and other things, ignoring the fact that ears should not be that high. Put them a bit lower. See picture below. I guess, that pics of Starkiller don't help 100% to make a head. Use them for color, general appearance reference, but for sculpting a head - it's better to look other pictures of human proportions. It will help a lot.
  20. A known issue with JA. I tried to put bottles into the map, simple md3 objects. And they didn't appear, because I were using model_breakable (well, it's glass bottles after all). I am not sure about items and their parameters, but for other objects (md3 and not pickable by Player) I tried these: mins -2 -2 0 maxs 2 2 16 It's difficult to explain... But these help (sometimes) if the model is too large or too small... Hmmm... Not very good at describing things. What I want to say is perhaps, that these commands might or might not help you, just give them a try. Also the advice about more space around the items/objects is the one to be appreciated. All this stuff is so unpredictable, and some solutions work differently with what seemed to be the same issue.

  22. Speaking of the elevators, it was always curious for me, that the moving platforms never have doors with them. Yes, there are ones at each level sometimes, but in real life you can easily damage your arms and legs, while the elevator is moving. The first actual elevator with doors was first seen (well, I saw them) in Half-Life Blue Shift. I eventually managed to create the real elevator in Jedi Academy. I'll post a tutorial a bit later.
  23. I had a very bad dream about this Inquisitor the previous night. ) In it the series failed. I hope that's isn't true. In any case before Attack of the Clones I saw a dream, where Boba Fett was actually a gungan.
  24. I really like the way Jaden stands still with two lightsabers - he is actually breathing, not just holding the hilts as if he were a statue. But I feel strange about the way he walks forward with two sabers...
