  1. Very beautiful, and has a true Star Wars feel to it.
  2. It seems the Dubrovnik set is being redecorated for another scene. It seems war is coming to this new location in Star Wars. Also, Addition: It seems this will be a night scene.
  3. I have this figure in my collection. It is considered to be a centerpiece among vintage action figures from Star Wars. I never thought, there was a problem with the rocket, but it won't move, that's true. I guess a resin of Boba for JA can also include the coloring of the original figure. It looks good.
  4. As according to one site, Lamin Tamba might join the cast of Episode VIII, though it's very confusing. Is he in the movie for real? I am unfamiliar with the actor, so no ideas about the character. I wonder what or who is Daika.
  5. I think the way the Sith looks is another reason to differentiate the Lords into various categories. Darth Maul is a pure representation of what the old Sith most likely looked like, though this is something known by Sidious, and only learnt by Maul from him. Having become a loyal and deadly shadow, he is more of an assassin, than a scheme-maker, as I see it. Such Sith perhaps were the executors of the dark orders from the masters behind the curtain. If Maul would have survived up to the events of ANH (and there would be no Dooku or Vader), the Empire itself would look very differently. It would be more like a corrupted Trade Federation with secret police, killing here and there. At least that was the impression in the beginning, when some authors suggested, that Palpatine orchestrated the invasion of Naboo to see the balance of powers in the Galaxy and whether the Trade Federation had the potential to be used as a main force to battle the enemies in the future. And Dooku was a necessary replacement for the perished Maul. He didn't look like Sith, but actually has a resemblance to Palpatine: both wear clothes associated with their outside roles, that of a Politician and a Serenno count respectively. I think the most Galaxy Dooku as more of a leader, and perhaps only some knew his nature as a Sith, and even fewer could understand, what that actually meant for the Galaxy. I mention Dooku and Maul here, because it's interesting to see that together with Vader all three are very dark figures. Yet there is so much contrast to them. I like the idea, that both a tattooed Darth Maul and an elegant count Dooku incorporated a lot (unbeknownst to them) into the image of Darth Vader.
  6. @@dark_apprentice Wrong thread. It has to be in here.
  7. Before The Force Unleashed I never really cared, what was with the Vader's suit. For me he always wore only one costume and only one mask, which was put on him once in the past. And never changed. But even as a kid I couldn't ignore the fact, that the eye area was red in Episode IV and black in Episodes V-VI. Personally I thought, the completely dark appearance was far cooler than the initial one in ANH. However TFA shows, that the costume was badly damaged, perhaps even beyond repair, so it is natural, that Vader would change and perhaps upgrade his costume. I don't know whether additional details were in stock at his private chamber, or whether someone would produce these for him upon demand of the Sith. The very creation of such an armor seemed a mystery even in the old canon: why would Palpatine keep some sort of this helmet, armor, costume, cloak, boots, etc? When SWTOR was released, I connected that game with the known fact, that Vader's armor was based [Designers from Palpatine's team] on the old costumes, worn traditionally by the Sith of the old times. It was even mentioned somewhere, that Vader's armor had all the traditional details and specifics of a Sith armor. Maybe Palpatine new, that he would need such armor for someone one day. Maybe he had a collection of various Sith helmets and prototypes.
  8. I never liked Desann, though the duel itself allows to do some tricks against him. Yun is my favorite, because it was the first. The hall isn't large though, but on various levels of difficulty the fight itself differs as well. This all applies to the next duels in JK series too, but Yun was the first lightsaber duel I fought.
  9. It looks like a cleaner version of what was seen in Episode IV and Episode I (actually the same "object" in both movies, if according to the encyclopedias)
  10. @@Archangel35757 I also wanted more from Lor San Tekka, so too bad we won't see him in Episode VIII (but Max Von Sydow joined the Game of Thrones cast for the next season). I hope, some more actors would participate in the next Star Wars. Definitely there must be someone else, who also remembers the massacre at the Jedi Academy, even if they aren't the Jedi. And hey, where's Lando???? Billy Dee Williams hasn't been confirmed just yet. Though he does participate in other Star Wars projects.
  11. They say, that Snoke is very old, very wise and is experienced in terms of the Force. Whether this means, that he is a great warrior, lightsaber wielder, a powerful Force User, or all three in one is unknown. I agree, that we don't need to know all this to have a model. Most likely he isn't very large, but uses a hologram for intimidation. Either J.J. or Kasdan said, that unlike Snoke might try to look weak and old like Palpatine did, however in many terms he doesn't act like being crippled or badly damaged in the same way. So he is far more dangerous than we might think.
  12. RT released a video of the construction of the set, which can be seen here: video. Careful, it might spoil the film for you @@dark_apprentice Well, I've never heard about that. Casting for Episode I was a known fact regarding Obi Wan, Amidala and Anakin for the most part. Darth Maul for some reasons is revealed in other ways. As far as I remember, Pierce Brosnan also waited for a long time to get filmed in James Bond. It was Timothy Dalton, to became the next Bond after Roger Moore, and in 1989 they made License to Kill, where Benicio Del Toro is playing one of the minor villains. After several years of legal problems 007 series continued with Brosnan. Perhaps this is sort of repetition for Del Toro this time. UPDATE from the set:
  13. According to brick set, Lego sets 75152-75156 are reserved for Rogue One sub series. If I can remember The Old Republic received only 2-3 sets at once, while the Force Unleashed could boast only one. This might mean, that we will get many new ships in the film, not just the above mentioned recognizable vessel.
  14. Enjoyed reading this issue a lot. Introducing new senators and a new Assassin – I would really like to know, where this one goes to eventually.
  15. An update for the photos above. Same location. @ Never thought of that. But you might be right about Laura Dern here. If the theory proves true, then it would remind of the original Star Wars script, where Luke would meet his sister much later than Episode VI. I mean, that here an important figure would appear in the next chapter, the same was with Yoda, who opened Star Wars for us only with Episode V.
  16. I like the ideas, that you put behind Laura's role in Episode VIII. Meanwhile we get some pictures from the set!!! This is just a preparation for the filming, but BE Careful!!!!! Possible spoilers alert!!! It reminds me... As for the new villain. .
  17. @ What do you mean? There is Brendol Hux according to books, who lived during the Empire.
  18. Seeing Yavin IV would be great, though I thought, that the Rebels were hiding on Dantooine for some time. They also mentioned, that there would be a planet with a town, full of citizens (and aliens), where part of the story would take place. the shots above are presumably from that same planet, with sands and palms. The dark ship with a ramp looks a lot like a predecessor to the similar landing transport of the First Order in TFA. They actually remind me of the submarines or sharks. It is true, that the film could be 18+, because of too much violence. As I mentioned earlier, some people believe we might not see a happy ending here at all. Some plot details:

    Vreyx

Looks like a precursor to Captain Phasma, but of the Clone Wars era. Like it.
  20. They dropped out some good ideas from the film. Jakku could have been a lot more unique, it seems. Some people suggest the whole movie could have been very much darker. We know, that Rey was Kira initially, and Finn was Sam. I like Finn more. They looked differently. Some are familiar. Kylo Ren could have been more mechanical. This one actually made it into the movie.
  21. You might be right, at least about the tone of the film. They said from the start it would be darker. As we now know, two actors joined the team – Benicio Del Toro and Laura Dern, the latter being a surprise for me. She played Dr. Ellie Sattler in Jurassic Park, it was so long ago! I wonder who she might be this time (sone sort of a Republic officer in charge?). Benicio Del Toro confirmed he is playing a villain in the film, so I wonder who that might be... Another Military guy like Hux? Someone like Phasma? Or perhaps another Knight of Ren? I am confident, that we'll see more of this Brotherhood. Also Daisy Ridley confirmed that Kelly Marie Tran joined the cast too. Unfortunately there is a confirmation now, that Harrison Ford is not coming to Episode VIII. No flashbacks, sorry.
  22. Personally I miss the time, when the games were made based on the film and were closer to the nature of the film, like it was with The Phantom Menace video game. Actually they used that film to the maximum, releasing Podracer, battle for Naboo (like Rogue Squadron 3D), galactic Battleground (Age of Empire II), Obi Wan (consoles only unfortunately), and many others. I also remember, that there were a lot more of toys set in Star Wars. 2000 or so was the year when Lego introduced its first SW sets. With Episode VII we've got Infinity only, as well as a glimpse of Jakku in Battlefront. How about deeper adventures? Like Republic Commando for instance? So much space to be creative. Maybe they are trying to see what's what, so Episode VIII will show more cool things like games. For now they only announced some casting news: Source
  23. How many are there now? To tell the truth I am not very impressed with the screenshots: they are great, as you see cool graphics, shaders and effects, but in terms of Star Wars or KOTOR at least they can boast a little. I don't mind the KOTOR remastered version, but I am afraid, that the attempt to enhance KOTOR will change many things for the worse, and I am not speaking about Graphics Engine. Inevitably such remasters often omit cool things like background characters, objects and features. Not all, but sometimes very memorable ones. As far as I remember, people, who worked on better graphics for KOTOR, showed better Bastila, better Revan, some hilts maybe, sometimes Sith troopers and HK-47, ignoring many other really important stuff, like other team members (T3-M4, Mission Vao, Zaalbar, etc), removing certain NPCs (like strange aliens, seen in KOTOR only twice – Paaerduag), adding objects from other games, instead of following the style and designs of the original game. Personally I like the way chaos, crates, doors were made in KOTOR. But we shall see. Maybe they'll make something very good. For now we have this texture mod, as well as some others.
  24. Aside from the rumour, that the Dubrovnik authorities are in the talks with Lucasfilm and Disney about making certain scenes of Episode VIII in their city, there is nothing else known. While looking for something new, found this. So does Han Solo return or not?
  25. @@Numfast Yes, I remember that change in the tones of the Matrix, especially towards the end of the trilogy. But Ord Mantell has a new sky now, the green is no longer there, it is even closer to the Ord Mantell from SWTOR.
