The two first mods were tribute to games of my childhood,

The third too but with more complex design.

 

Years passing by, I tend to adapt my style, mixing this "old paltform game vibe" with more mysterious and chiaro-scuro temples, because this is what I'm into by now !

At last.

Years have passed, and I feel like I'm playing less and less at this game, which made my childhood and early aduldhood.

And I hate to leave without a gift. So, this final chapter is dedicated to all of you, all of us, Jedi Knight lovers, Kyle Katarn's friends.

And this time, another kind of story.

Not long after Jerec's demise, Kyle and his apprentice Mara Jade are sent with Luke Skywalker to investigate a cosmic temple invaded by the remnants of the Empire. But they were unable to understand what they found at this time. They only knew it was a sort of holocron of the Light Side. But today, a cult of the Force called The Order of the Lost Flame is growing, and in a bold move, they have managed to steal the artifact from Luke Skywalker's hands. For the Jedi Order is not what it once was. The temple has burned, many apprentices were killed following a tragic betrayal, and few defenders of the Order and justice in the galaxy remain active. Kyle Katarn is no longer one of them. A lone wanderer, our veteran is now sixty years old. Yet, a vision from the Force puts him back on the path. The galaxy is in danger. One last stand will lead our heroes, along with a new generation, to uncover the truth behind the acquisition of the holocrons—revealed to be forgotten deities of the Force. Past, present, and future are intertwined, and a long, dark journey awaits Kyle, linked to the Clone Wars, higher realities, and many other secrets…

Do you need to know the previous mods to play this one ?

Absolutely not. Each ECM has its own vibe, and even if some times, things are connected, they are all stand-alone.

 

How many maps ?

A lot, as usual, but maybe less than the previous ones for the main part. I tend to create inventive challenges, and to vary the gameplay a lot.

 

SP Only ?

For the main story, yes. But for the whole mod ? NO. For the first time, I will release a lot of MP maps with creative gameplay (platform racing, co-op challenges, duels in places from all the five mods). So yes, still a lot of new maps, of course !

 

New features ?

Of course ! New saber colors, weapons, force powers (including Force Destruction from DFII, and Force Elements, a new kind of power...)

But also a bunch of new AI classes.

 

Is it really going to happen ?

Yes, already 6 maps made, almost 7.

 

What about "The Path of Lana"

I don't have the motivation to do a whole lore about ECM anymore. But all my work on this little spin-off was readapted for ECMV. So, yes, you will play those levels !

 

Is Kyle getting old ?

Of course he is. Like any os us, those two decades have changed him ! It will be his last adventure. The last with me, by the way.

 

What about the droid attack on the wookies ?

Yes.

In some ways, here is the "final" episode. Because it provides an ending, which is also a new beginning, If I want to continue the story.

 

 

Finally the tenth episode...

Kyle is fightning old enemies, dealing with the death of Luke Skywalker...

 

 

But long before their last mission, Kyle and Luke did a lot of work together...

KvS9 call us back to their first one, a long time ago...

The style is "old" on purpose, of course.

 

 

 

On this eighth episode, we are visiting CrossRoads JA Night, but in a chaotic version...

 

This episode is shorter, and also darker. Speaking about the thematics, but also the screen itself.

The plot may densify or not. Now, I prefer it simple. I wrote novels in my native language, and the plot is really dense, complex, and precise. So, I wanted to do something lighter with JKA !

And I am not talking about this here. I wanted, also, to start a lighter project, something that the good old fashion SP player would like to see.

 

 

 

Four sith challenge Kyle Katarn to defeat them, pretending to be famous galactic persons... One of them may surprise our beloved Jedi Master...

Kyle Katarn VS The Sith is a project which brings back the good old memories of Jedi Academy. Using SP, those videos intend to revisit a lot of well known (and less known) maps, skins, situations, and lore from the early (and more recent) Jedi Knight era. We will be following Kyle and his quest to find out about Desann's biding...

 

Long ago, I made a serie of videos called "Kyle Katarn VS All Sith". Let's say this is the modern version of it.

Hello there !

 

Fellow friends, I decided to make a long tribute to our beloved Jedi Knight, revisiting a lot of maps, skins and things from the game, and also create a kind of movie for the Jedi Knight community.

 

The concept is simple.

We follow a simple man, trying to make his own way through the universe, as a wise man once said...

At the end of every video, you choose the path he takes. Some choices will lead him to survive, some others are dangerous...

The more videos you keep him alive, the more you win ! This is made with reshade FX.

The whole thing will allow the good old players to revisit a lot of maps we all know and cherish. The style of the video is very immersive, and allow quiet moments. You hear the thoughts of our character, as well as his words (with my delicious French accent, because the character comes from a strange little planet "from the Outer Rim").

There are very few musics, and the sound is made of ambiances. To choose a path, you have to vote. The path which has the most upvotes will be taken in the next part of the "movie"...

 

I hope you will enjoy it, and participate to the adventure !
