I will wait for the next release. Maybe incompatibilites will be fixed. Even the hibernate bug is solved, I have no sound with all ubuntu distrib and the "software rendering mode" with the cinnamon version.

ok, thank you very much. As I could see, the class system is related to the choice of the skin. Each skin is attached to a class. Are these skins/class determined by the source code or by a editable file (cfg, txt, dat, ...) ? On my own server, can I change the class of a skin ? For example giving a class with a saber to the jawa skin ? With these questions, I want to know if it is possible to add our own skins to the game and to assign it the class I want. Other questions : ingame, players cannot choose their points or their weapons ? All force powers and weapons are determined by the class (= the skin) ? To help me understanding, it is like the MBII authentic mode ? What is the goal of the XP points and the account if we have not points to buy skills and weapons ? Is there an evolution ? Will a player with more XP be more powerful ?

You don't need to show all classes and all their features, but just show the menu, the choice button and the gameplay for 2 or 3 classes. You spent so much time doing these trailers which show the graphics and there is no one showing the "real stuff" I thank you for making a new video. What about the classes ? Will we be able to modify classes serverside ? Can you give me more informations about the account system ? Do the points to select skills will be related to XP ? Do they will be saved ? I remember in EoC III, you could have 30 XP and 200 points to buy skills. There were no relation between the XP of the account and the points for skills.

I am excited about this mod but I would see real stuff and not just a video which shows strictly nothing. I could create myself a video showing skins and I could pretend that it is a "class system". Until now, I just watched skins, maps and the sabersystem, which could be taken from EoC III. So please, show me real stuff : - the class system : how I select my class in the menu, what are the classes availables, without interruption. I want to see you selecting a class, spawning, playing, selecting another class... - I want to see you spawning the smart boba fett who use his jetpack and his flame launcher. In you preview n°2, how do you show me they are npcs ? they could be just real players trying to act like "smart npcs" for your video. Do you understand me ? I have big hopes in this mod, but now you should show me that your features are real.

I tested Mint Cinnamon and Xubuntu, but I have no sound. With Xubuntu, I have no sound panel at all in the setups. With Mint, I have a sound panel with my sound card which is recognized but I have no sound... (HP B&O sound card). More over, with Cinnamon, it runs with "software rendering". There is a problem with the graphic driver and I will replace it with Mate. But first I must fix the sound problem. I don't know where is the problem : the sound is enable, is not on 0, the card is displayed in the sound panel, but there is no sound ! Edit : Moreover, when I close the laptop, Linux goes in sleep mode, but when I open it again, the screen is black. I can press every button (even power button), there is nothing. I must reboot the computer. I will no more use Linux Mint and other Ubuntu based OS...

I tested Linux Mint Cinnamon and Xubuntu with Live CD. I don't know if I have a limited access to setups with Live CD but Xubuntu's desktop did not seemed to be very customisable. I have changed colors and icons of the bar, but I could not change put the bar on the bottom. I had only the choice between top and left (vertical). I was forced to use the "panel switch" and choose the "Redmont" desktop to have the main bar on the bottom. However, the Start menu was changed too. To active the quick launcher, I had to choose the "mac" desktop. I did not find how to activate it myself with the "modern Xubuntu" desktop. Seems that the personnalisation come from base or downloaded extensions (desktops, themes)... About drivers, when I ran Linux Mint with Live CD, I had a message "Can not use hardware for graphics. Software mode activated. It can use more power" or Something like this. I guess that Linux Mint Live had not the appropriate driver for the graphic card (and I had not internet to get the driver). Will the problem continue with a full installation or is it just a bug of the Live CD ?

Ah ok ! i thought Xubuntu and Lubuntu were made by Canonical. i didn't know they were forks made by communities Just one question about the password to encrypt the /home folder. If I must re-install the same or another Linux version, will it be able to read again the encrypted /home ? Do I lose my stuff ? You're right. The playerbase is a problem. Tron, there are several alive RP clans around the world : just check here : http://jkhub.org/forum/30-communities/ Why do you want absolutely create YOUR RP clan. You don't want a specific feature, because each time you create a new one, you change completely the background and the RP. So stop your way alone and join another RP clan to play with peoples. Yeah, the jetlag is a problem. That's why I did not succeed to make a game with Tron. When he wakes up, I go to bed...

Does the customisation come from the system/settings panel or do I need to download mods ?

thanks For example, with Ubuntu, the buttons bar (Files, Edit, Tools, ...) of the windows are on top of the desktop. I don't want that. I prefer a desktop like Microsoft, where the buttons bar is on the window of the application. I watched some screenshot of XFCE. I don't think I will like it for a first time with GNU/Linux. Oooh wait, the "start" button doesn't open the same panel. Linux Mint Mate start panel seems more like Windows. (there are often a shortcut floating bar like on Mac) It seems that Debian is the source of Ubuntu and Mint. Shouldn't be better to take Debian ? (quick security fix ?) For example, with Linux mint, a security fix on Debian must be reporting on Ubuntu and then on Mint. It takes longer, doesn't it ? What are advantages and disadvantages ?

Hello ! I would like to install Linux and there are lots of versions. I tested Ubuntu in School but I did not like the desktop. I prefer desktops which seems more like Windows. I saw Linux Mint and it seems to be nice. There are several Linux Mint versions (Rafaela, Cinnamon, Mate, KDE, ...) What are the real difference between them ? There are lots of others versions of Linux (Mageia, Debian...). Is there one version which could be more adapted to me ? I will use it for a desktop use (folders, word and excel, photos, videos, internet, maybe gaming, ...). Even I will try the command line, I want to have a graphical access to all options. If you want to know my level, I am a totally noob with Linux, but I can learn quickly. Thank you

what I worry about is the diversity of the themes. There are 4 planets and 12 maps. That means each planet has 3 maps. Example, for Hoth, you can make an outside map and a base echo map. But the third map will not be very different...

I can't help you. I know that EoC III crashs with OpenJK but it is strange that it crashs with jamp.exe. Move your jampconfig.cfg in an other folder and try again. However, just wait for EoC IV... or try OJP !

Here is a part of a trailer we are doing about our RP. I release it because Alden is busy and I don't know when he will be able to finish it and correct errors. It is actually just a small part. It is a direct ingame footage: we did not use devmapall, neither npc spawn, spectator mode or any cheat command. What you watch is just what you have when you play BftR. I have seen a better computer for 950€ (is it a trap ? ) HP Pavilion 15-AB015NF Windows 8.1, screen 15,6p, 1920x1080px Intel Core i7-5500U, NVIDIA GeForce 940M 12 Gb RAM 2 To SATA 5400 RPM The only problem is that the OS is W8.1. I have one question about this one : If I upgrade it to Windows 10. Do I have a real Windows 10 licence, or is it always considered as a 8.1 licence ? What I would say => In the case I must re-install windows, can I put W10 immediately, or do I must first install W8.1 and then upgrade to W10 ? Yeah, about that, are there specific problems with the upgrade W8.1=>W10 that I should know ? I don't like W8.1 and I prefer W10 but the second computer seems to be better than the first (12Go vs 8Go RAM, i7 vs i5) with only 50€ difference.

Thanks. However, I don't think I will use that. I prefer buy it in a store because of the SAV. And prices are in dollars so i suppose it is dedicated to USA. Too often, the conversion dollar/euro applied is 1:1 and it shouldn't be. I don't think I will play Battlefront. The RAM is DDR3 and the storage is HDD (no SSD). I post computers I saw in my local store. This one has Windows 8.1 but I can upgrade to Windows 10. I just worry if the i5 5200U + 940M is efficient to run all games on PCSX2 with the standard fps or if I need an intel HQ + GTX to do that. About PC games, I am not really interested in new games like Battlefield, Fallout or others. I am looking for a computer between 700 and 1000€, and I don't know if it is best to take a computer with good options (2 To, 1920x1080 px, ...) but a lower core (intel U + GeForce) or a computer with classic options (1 To, 1360x768px) but a better core (intel H or HQ + GTX). Is it a good idea to pay 900€ for a computer with 2 To but classic core, when I can found gamer computer for the same price but with cheapest options (plastic body, 1 To). I saw that classic computer have SATA with 5400 RPM, while gamer computer have SATA with 7200 RPM. Is the read/write speed really 33% faster ?

I don't know exactly what I will do with it but i would like to be able to use CAD softwares (like Solidworks, Catia, ...) and other mechanical and fluid simulations softwares. Unfortunately, I need a Portable PC and not a Tower PC. A lot of portable PC have only 4 Gb RAM, and they go up to 8 Gb. Portables with more (12 or 16 Gb) are very expensive and people said me it is not a good deal to take a very expensive portable (in comparison with towers). About Gaming, I don't think I will play Battlefront, and if i do, I don't need to have the Max graphic options. However, I want to be able to run PCSX 2 without problems. I can't take my PS2 with me when I move. I have seen another computer : the look is less nice but the capacities are better : Asus N551JX-DM230H 1000 € Windows 8.1, screen 15 p, 1920x1080 px Intel Core i7-4720HQ, NVIDIA GTX 950M 8 Gb RAM 1 To SATA 7200 RPM What about the hard disk ? 7200 RPM vs 5400 RPM is a real difference ? And for the processor ?
