Hi friends, I want to discuss here about a gaming news that makes me so afraid, I dont know how to recover from there. So I want to get some ideas or solutions about the news.

Actually I just got a news that Ubisoft will close all the inactive accounts and delete the purchased game from there. Is it true? Has anyone got this news. Here is the full detail of the news.

I am afraid because, I have a Ubisoft account and there is purchased a few games. If all the games are deleted or my account is closed. I am very worried about this info. Has anyone lost any games from Ubisoft? Your valuable feedback is highly appreciated.

Do you even use your Ubisoft account often? If yes, you can relax. What Ubisoft is doing is nothing new, and it will only affect users who haven't used their accounts for years.

  2. Amazing! What's great is that they are moving away from the Skywalker saga to explore a different history of the galaxy. Having a show set in the High Republic era allows much more freedom, as it effectively eliminates the need of adding legacy characters. Star Wars is more than just about Anakin, Vader, clones and Palpatine. Sure, a lot of fans have speculated that Yoda could appear, as he is over 700 years old at the time of the series. But I think that adding a popular character like him would only steal the thunder from the new characters that are introduced in the series. It's their time to shine now.

Personally, I don't know anything about the High Republic era. But I'm ready to dive into that era with this show.

I've been looking for a few things from old JO/JA files as well. And unfortunately they aren't in the net, but I got some rare PK3s from CD/DVDs from video games magazines. Those included demos, maps, weapons, skins and other things. But finding a disc is a more difficult thing to do these days, even though not impossible, as some fans made copies of old magazines and DVD content. I

I even thought of uploading a few of those to JKHUB, even though the content isn't very good for the most part.

Upload them anyway, because it doesn't matter if they are very good. Who knows, maybe there are some mods among them that others are looking for.

Would anyone be interested in doing a Frankenstein of the Movie Duels Crait Luke with ROTJ Luke's head thrown on? Possibly with a beard?

Reminiscent of how he's described in Shadows of the Sith or the Kylo Ren comic.

This is currently the only model that matches your request. It only needs a minor texture change and the hood removed.

There was an old map on lucasfiles called like dsl funhouse, where it had like an npc spawn room that you'd access by rolling under a set of stairs. The main area was like this huge box room with two floating platforms, and then there was like a panel where you could force push open and there were a bunch of shadowtroopers, and then behind them were a bunch of reborns, which that room then had like teleporters to like a greenscreen room. Somewhere in the middle of the main area, the floor opened up and lead to a small room down some stairs, where the stairs opened up if you force pushed them, and then there was a breakaway wall you would crouch into to and there was a room with a bunch of jawas in it. Also in the main area was like a weapon room too, and I think you had to break a wall to get to it or something.

Anyway, I can't find it anywhere lol. Does anyone else remember this map, and might actually have it still too?

Check out mrwonko's JK3Files mirror. It's has backups of all (or at least most) mods from JK3Files. As that website offered a huge variety of mods, it's possible that you may find it there.
As you didn't specify for which game the map was made, I'm putting the links to Jedi Academy and Jedi Outcast below.

  6. Technically, the character model of Max can be ported into the game. Unfortunately, converting files and throwing them in one folder won't make the model magically appear in the game. The model needs to be rigged to the JKA skeleton first in order to give it animations and all that, and that is a complicated process.

And that leads us to the main issue: If you are really looking of an authentic port, the entire model appears to not be suitable for Jedi Academy at all. If you put it on the JKA skeleton, the animations on the model will look awkward. And if you add a lightsaber, or any other weapon, it will look absolutely silly.

I know it's been a while since I haven't been able to post much on here, but I'm rather wondering. Has there ever been a Mara Jade Lightsaber Hilt from Mysteries of the Sith being featured around here? Cause I know that there's this Dark Forces II Saber Pack which was released on here before, but I always thought where would Mara Jade's Saber be from Mysteries of the SIth that would be held upon over in Jedi Academy. I found a model of the Saber right here that might look good for the game.

It has been done already. Just download the Lightsaber Hilt Collection by Plasma, which has pretty much all the lightsabers that have ever been featured in Star Wars media. It's the single biggest lightsaber collection available.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the Movie Duels Remaster team use an AI for their multiplayer trailer?

They did. But just because they have done it doesn't mean that it's right. Voice actors are concerned about AI technology for good reasons, especially because their voices are being manipulated and used without their consent. This is totally different than using sound clips from films, shows or other games, as they have actually provided the voices themselves.

Thank you so much for replying! I tried what you said, putting it in base, and renaming the file with three z's, but it still isn't working.

Okay, so the issue might be something else. I have absolutely no experience in coding, so I can't help you. But maybe @mrwonkocan.

Hello, I am new to modding and brand new to coding.

I was trying to make a mod for Jedi Outcast singleplayer that changes blaster projectiles to be a lot faster, but no luck. I managed to change the numbers with MS Visual Studio (the latest version) and make a dll file, I then made a pk3 with 7z and put my dll inside it. I have that in a separate folder inside GameData. After launching openjo, I am able to choose my mod from the list. However, when I start a new game, there is no change at all to the weapons. What am i missing?

Dear god I hope someone sees this, I know it's an old game but there are no mods online that do this, and being able to create my own would mean the world.

Maybe you should try not putting that mod in an extra folder. Put it in the standard base folder instead. Also, make sure to add the letter "Z" at least once to your PK3 (for example "zzz_Mod.pk3"], to make sure that your PK3 is one of the last files scanned by the game.

I certainly did not intend to diminish the effort and time that go into creating a mod like the one I envision. I deeply respect the skill involved in such work. Due to time constraints, I'm unable to undertake this project myself, which is why I'm reaching out to the talented modding community here for assistance. I apologize if my previous comments came across as insensitive.

Of course there is nothing wrong with requesting something and offering to pay for the effort. However, this is something that should be discussed with whoever is willing to do it (if somebody is willing to do it). Just setting a certain price for something really doesn't do it.

As for maps in general, a lot has changed. Back then, the community was much busier than it is now, and it was more likely that somebody would take your request and at least try to make it happen. Chances that somebody would fulfill your request were greater. But today, it seems more like a matter of priority. Some mappers have their own projects they are working on, and they are spending so much time making them as good as they can. Apart from that, most Star Wars related maps are created if they are relevant to the films, shows or games.

This topic is for WIP content only. If you have requests, please create a separate topic for them in the appropriate section. And that applies to everyone here!

Yes, Jeff has done great models. But like every single one of us, he's just a regular person, and he doesn't have the time to work on character models. Like all of us, he has a life to live, one that has nothing to do with modding at all. He's not some sort of wizard who just needs to swing his wand to port models for you. So, if he ever delivers new content, it's because he had found the time and the motivation for it.

Let's say that it was you who would do all the work instead of Jeff. How would YOU react if random people dropped by and give you links of models THEY want? I doubt that your answer would be "Great! Thanks for the dozens of models. I'll have them ported for you very soon."

So finally watched season 3, this guy was a bad AZZ.... I'd love a model of him!

One thing that really made me emotional was the fact that Kelleran Beq's actor, Ahmed Best, had previously played Jar Jar Binks in the prequels. And everyone knows how the character was treated in the fandom. Seeing him playing a Jedi and being celebrated for it is the proof that redemption is possible in the Star Wars fandom. All it needs is time.

So a while back when the Jedha City FFA map was released by PyroTechnices I reached out to them. I wanted to port it to Star Wars Battlefront II (which I've done with other JKA maps). While the permission set on the file said it was fine, I wanted their blessing anyway. Long story short I got it, but then had to put the map on the back burner for other projects. Now I can't find it anywhere, and PyroTechnics seems to have deleted all accounts I can trace to reach back out: here, Discord, Moviebattles.org, etc.

Does anyone have a backup of this map, or even better any contact info for PyroTechnics? I know it's a longshot. If a public version of the map isn't available could someone DM me? I definitely have permission, but I understand if it's no longer a public file.

Just as proof of Jedi Academy >> Star Wars Battlefront II conversions by me: https://www.moddb.com/members/teancum/addons --- I've also converted many of your community's great player models and weapons

I've given up hope on Kyle Katarn being a part of Luke's Temple in Canon.

Don't give up your hope! Just because he has not been introduced in the canon doesn't mean he won't ever be. And that's so exciting! Sometimes, certain characters from Legends get introduced into the canon, if they haven't been already. In fact, there is a theory that he might be a character in Star Wars: Outlaws, because a currently unnamed character looked exactly like him. The theory was later debunked, but you never know. There are still a lot of possibilities in Star Wars, even more than ever before. It just requires a writer. Until then, there are so many other interesting characters to explore.

As for Kelleran Beq, I don't expect him to survive long past the Order 66. But I do hope that this was not the last thing we got to see of him.

(NOTE TO MEMBERS: This is not an invitation to discuss about who or what is supposed to be in the canon or not. If you disagree with something or feel a certain rage, take a pillow, scream into it, then do whatever makes you happy.)
