  1. At some point in development of JA, there was to be an NPC known as the Cultist Destroyer. It would instantly go into a rage mode and try to suicide bomb next to the player. While I haven't talked to Raven about why this NPC was removed, I can only speculate that it had something to do with cultural reasons (suicide bombing was oft-reported in the news during 2003's Iraq War)

However, the .npc file and code is still intact, meaning this NPC was cut very late into development. There is also a cultist_commando npc which never appeared, and fully works (it has dual wielding blasters! awesome!)

Anyway, enough talk. You can spawn this NPC using an npc_spawner entity with npc_type "cultist_destroyer". The NPC will go into a rage, disappear and you will die instantaneously. But there's no effect? Easy fix. The effects for the NPC didn't ship with the game but we can add them back in.

For this you'll want to create a new PK3. In this, add an effects folder. Inside of that, a folder called force. Inside of this folder you will need an EFX named destruction_exp.efx. If you have no experience in creating an EFX file, that's okay, you can reuse an existing EFX like the rocket launcher explosion effect or one of the env/explosion ones.

I don't know the splash radius on their explosion as it isn't explicitly stated in the code. Your mileage may vary.

Thank You for this info.. i managed to fix the Cultist Destroyer explosion.. and WOW... :o  what an explosion!! More than 700 DAMAGE !

  2. Ah, it seems we were right after all - anti-piracy measures were the reason. I just came across this article that talks about the cracking of Denuvo v4.8. The Russian site where I originally found the news claims it was done by some cracker group called CPY, though I haven't looked into it. Anywho, apparently most of the new games use this version, EA's BF2 included. This wraps up the mystery them :D

Not only in Russia pirated software is something normal... don't worry about EA and other big corporations, they have a lot of money, i don't care about them ! By the way.. i already have BF2... ...  never mind... OpenJK is way better  :winkthumb: .

  3. Shouldn't be an issue. The path is followed by dots. Just overwrite the dots. In the screenshot below, I renamed the Clone Wars animations to "_humanoid_cwv6" so i could use it with specific models. As you can see in both, the number of characters and the file size remained unchanged....

... well.. well.. you know some stuff of hex editing... :D

  4. Going back to your problem, you should be good with OpenJK. I can use most models without any issues (as long as the model has 10K verts or less, if it has more, even with OpenJK you will have the same error).

Thanks.. all my models work with the last version of OpenJK... i think this is the best thing what happen for JKA community... Long Live the Open JK ! :starwars:

Any help on what to add/alter?

Edit: Took a look in assets0.pk3 in music, I don't see t2_trip anywhere.

Can someone provide me with these assets?

    You altered the original assets??

  6. Can anyone have the time to low the texture & vertex (low poly) for some high models/skin that i have?

The problem is for those models that i have in Single Player in the original game JA v1.0 the error is:

Run out of transform space for ghoul2 Models. Adjust MiniHeapSize in SV_Spawn Server

  7. I looked back a page and found your post about the clipping, The easiest fix I found for this was to widen the hood. I also fixed the transparency on the other side of belt and skirt thing. If you're interested in any of this, just PM me @@Xeby

Version 2 coming soon with black color and hood glitch fix.. updated ! https://jkhub.org/files/file/2809-xebys-dark-apprentice-tfu2-starkillergalen-marek/

  8. In my opinion : Force grip level 2 suck. You just lift the enemy and deal damage. But You must have cursor on them which is compeletely useless.

The level 1 maybe block other force powers when You grip someone but You can (if You play with blasters.. Many times i play with them) STUN the enemy and just headshot them if they are not force users.

    The level 3 is amazing.

The level 3 is not amazing... you can't grip multiple targets at one time. So is suck.. level 2 should be the curent level 3.
