    Jedi Academy: Enhanced

Love this mod, great job guys. Any chance you could add an option to holster the lightsaber on the left side of the player model as opposed to how it is now on the right side. Lightsabers were almost always holstered on the left side of the user's belt, not the right.

  1. @Omega1, I really appreciate all your mods, but this one is simply classic, my absolute favorite - thank you for sharing with us!

Absolutely, and thank you! It makes it all the more worth it seeing people enjoying these mods. I have made some long overdue updates now to some of the main CJP mods, and if I can get the support I have some great new CJP mods in the works that I'd really like to see through and eventually release.

  2. Hi just thought I'd mention I found a fix for the mission menu being bugged if you're interested (as it has been a while since this file had been posted). basically I unzipped the pk3, and went to ext_data/models/players/luke and made a copy of the default .skin file under the name model_menu.skin. after turning the mod files back into a .pk3 the mission menu skin was no longer bugged and showed the new post-ROTJ skin. (sorry for the report I'm just getting a hang of the site and wasn't sure how to comment, obviouslt I am blind.)

Thank you for this, sorry it took so long but the mod has now been updated to include this fix!

  3. why add those...box things on the hilt? some of them hilts actually have textured buttons you know :P

It's a feature present on the original concept of the lightsaber known as a control/activation box, until the prequels hit and they ditched it for a single red button.

I prefer my lightsaber hilts to have this "box" present as it adds function and detail to the designs.

Plus some lightsabers had other buttons as well, take the "graflex" lightsaber hilt, it has the control box and buttons, just use your imagination as to what the other buttons might function as.

  4. That's awesome letting other modders know that the assets from CJP can be used for the Prequel Robes, as long as credit is given, dude. :D What I PERSONALLY could do is use your CJP textures, mostly the face as I can modify the robes to be black myself, along with Slavoo's Robed Luke Skywalker, and presto! :D BUT, if anyone wants to use CJP for Prequel Robes, if you read this, YOU ARE AWESOME! :D

    Thanks.

Well I used assets from other peoples mods myself on this project, just so long as one keeps that in mind if one ends up using assets from CJP, to remember to credit the other contributors as much as myself.

  5. Ohhhhh man, I think another one with the Hapslash body should be next. Yes, I know there's a Jedi Customization pack ALREADY, but you did the Original Trilogy, the Journey man, so why not complete the saga in this case, right? :)

I have completed the Saga, and by that I mean the "Original Trilogy". :D

Well Spanki has already made a Prequel customization pack...

What I am hoping to do next after a short break is a "Classic Dark Side" pack, then expand the Classic Jedi Customization to have Non human variants, and then a female pack which will require a lot more work.

There's already so many prequel-style mods out there, however if someone wants to use anything from CJP and add them to prequel mod assets then it is fine by me, so long as credit is provided.

  6. Looks like he gained some weight.

I actually prefer the prequel robes. Ben's looked almost impossible to move around in, let alone fight.

If you say so, I mean Ben's robes are basically traditional Samurai robes, they learned to fight without having to dance around like they did in the prequels.

  7. Hi,

    Awesome mod! Fantastic job!

May I also ask, what is/where did you get that mod which causes the lightsaber to be attached to the belt?

    Thanks, glad you like it.

As for the hilt connected to the belt, it is a feature on DT's Luke ESB model found here (unless the hilt was removed from the belt in an update, which I don't think is the case): http://jkhub.org/files/file/1682-dt-luke-esb/

I know there are some multiplayer mods out there (like "Open Jedi Project" for example) that have a feature where your lightsaber hilt gets attached to your belt when switching weapons. I really do wish there was a single player mod that adds this feature, and this feature only, so if anyone knows of such a mod then please do share!

  8. Indeed it takes about 60 seconds to trim/round out the bottoms which is why i disregarded it, but like i said i'll take your word for it so no big deal. Apparently we just ended up with almost the exact same top shape/thickness haha. Nice flare btw as well, i spent way to much time OCD'ing over trying to make one just right before i ended up with my last one. Still fighting with trying to get the perfect trail..

I assure you, getting the curves on the top and bottom just right by my liking took more than 60 seconds!

I am (was) currently using "Movie Blur Trails" created by "0bl1v10n", I am not sure if you can get it any more as it was posted on the now defunct jk2files.com. However I am thinking about creating my own too which is more curvier and suited to the energy glow of the Original Trilogy blades.

Edit: I just spent the last few hours creating a new Lightsaber trail effect for the Original Trilogy Lightsaber Blades mod, will be uploading it shortly (I will also include the source photoshop file, in case there's any more false accusation of stealing/editing someone elses work).
