  1. I kinda gathered that, but who is this guy? What did he do? What's with the weird blade-thing? What's with the weird markings on his chest? If I had to guess, he's probably a Mandalorian based on the weird alien markings on him and the jetpack. But that's just an outside perspective.
  2. Hmmm. I must have been thinking of earlier comparisons and associating this one with those.
  3. I don't know why KOTOR is being brought up as a comparison. The gameplay is literally NOTHING like JKA/JK2...
  4. Any chance at getting some better textures at all? I realize this was meant for the sith engine, but perhaps those wall and ceiling textures could be touched up. I do like the aesthetic you're going for though, and it does seem like the movie.
  5. The more GB, the better, heh. edit: okay maybe not 100% of the time but in this case sure
  6. Really? huh. Might have been on IRC, I know you've been on the JACoders IRC before.
  7. JKA/JK2 source code (as in, all the source code) was also released last April, so I mean the Q3A source code getting released is a bit irrelevant.
  8. Yes, I think so. I believe trigger_hurts trigger whatever targets they have whenever they are activated.
  9. I don't think it'll ever die. I can't think of a single modding community that has actually completely died off (there's still Sims 1 and Starcraft 1 modders about, so I mean..)
  10. all sounds have to be mono and all music has to be stereo
  11. Those two are meant to loop, I believe.
  12. I think this would have been better if the tip of the candy cane (the part at the end) was where the mouse cursor pointer is. In other words, rotating the candy cane roughly 180 degrees. Makes it much easier to see what you're clicking on, in my opinion.
  13. To make the animations loop, I believe that's part of the animations.cfg that needs to be edited. I don't remember which part in particular.
  14. Aliases: Raz0r, boonagem, meganoob, Raysore, Lavern Area of skills: Coding Brief list of accomplishments: Helpful, respectful, and overall the general leader of the JKA coding scene from 2007 onwards. Provided many early coding tutorials. Founded JACoders and OpenJK. Member of (JAWA) for a period of time. Created the JA++ mod, which serves as a vastly superior version of JA+. Examples of contributions: His tutorial on how to compile the game is what brought me and others into the JKA coding scene. Comments: If Raz0r wasn't around, chances are there would not have been an engine source code release. He's the bridge between the coding community and the rest of the community, and he has time and again proven his professionalism and knowledge of the engine. He's the most laid-back of the programmers, and offers some of the best help.
  15. i know dat feel Nice Vader skin by the way. But I do find the difference in detail between the head (very highly detailed) and the body (more of a watercolor/pastel style in comparison) to be a bit too jarring.
  16. Tip: hit F11 while in a menu, developer 1 and using any debug build of OpenJK. The game will draw lines around every element onscreen and display the exact position of your cursor onscreen.
  17. That's a good idea. But as I said before, I can see some negative side effects. I'll gladly throw likes and names into the hat though.
  18. Who? I don't see any.
  19. (my response was to @@SiLink's first post)
  20. That confuses me too. I think a more appropriate title would be "Best JKA Modders" that way it leaves it more open for interpretation. Or perhaps writing out a little disclaimer, I dunno. I definitely wouldn't discredit the people on your list (except Tim and Slider) but some people (such as razorace) do really deserve to be on a Top List of All Time.
  21. Tobe_One: made awesome skins such as his Shiva skin, Dracula. He was the lead skinner of Neo Dark Ages. Deathspike: Made SAC, initial progress towards JKG and one of the best reverse-engineer people (if not the best) in all of JKA. Servers are much more secure due to his work. Xycaleth: JAPhys, JAVisPlus, rend2, JKG, MB2, ... even posted in this thread. He's literally everywhere. razorace: one of the coding pioneers and founders of OJP. some others worth putting up redsaurus: Numerous, numerous Mac helps for OpenJK and MB2. Santa hat mod. Was cited by Raven Software as being one of the people that convinced them to release code. RenegadeOfPhunk: created MB2 Toast: made Makermod Ensiform: responsible for thousands of fixes to OpenJK and OJP including rend2 Scooper: maintained Makermod and has helped many people out Didz: JA master server backup plan, in the event the master goes down Darth Norman: many good quality maps Pande: also many quality maps, in JKG Rich Whitehouse: Hydrobsll and lead developer of JK2 + JKA's MP sections RichDiesal: Mapping academy and Kamino Platform mrwonko: Blender GLM importer/exporter ent: jaMME (big boon for frag videos) RevanDark: Several weapon packs of high quality, some of which made it into JA+'s client. Eclipse: wrote key tutorials on Softimage. Vincent Valentine model. ShroomDuck: Country Roads 1 + 2, Hail the Boognish, Country Academy, and several other maps which were highly influential minilogoguy18: many many tutorials and good quality models AngelModder: Titanic, Darth Vader, numerous other models RoboPhred: developed Lugormod T2 and up
  22. Tim and Slider are on there, but no Tobe_One, Deathspike, Xycaleth or razorace? Tim and Slider are like #2 and #3 worst
  23. So what the hell is your point, exactly? I'm struggling, I really am.
