  1. Dude, me too. I waited forever. Decided it was past due.
  2. Everyone loves good head.
  3. No one at OpenJK is liable for the way a person chooses to download or install their assets.
  4. In a gaming engine. With ported textures, brushes, patches, models, sounds and whatever else. But it's okay if you are just making a movie. Some one should start decompiling all the maps on this site, taking any custom textures and sounds out of them. It would be okay as long you are just making a movie.
  5. Yeah, even when I started played it was way more populated. This is very very low atm.
  6. I don't like any of your poll options. I want 2.5 years.
  7. Structure Aliases: @Seto Area of skills: Coding, Entity modding Brief list of accomplishments: Friendly and approachable about coding/entity related issues. Contributed to the ent modding tutorial widely used by people starting off. Creator of the SoW plugin on the entity coding and scripting side. Putting up with Pyro. Examples of contributions: The FFA3 plugin at the School of War server. Comments: Had I not been inspired to take up entity modding, and then later addicted to it, I would probably never have picked up mapping. It all lead to me getting my dream job in the game industry, and having a place where I can point and say, "There is where the spark happened", is awesome.
  8. Should just change the thread to, "Here's my top 10 modders. Who are yours and why?" That would have been a much cooler conversation instead of a 3 page diatribe about how everyone is mean and a bunch of "LOSERS" for having opinions different from your own.
  9. Making top lists is always destructive. It degenerates into arguments about asserting one individual over another 100 percent of the time, 60 percent of time.
  10. Shellfish will be the end of us all.
  11. What the actual fuck?
  12. It doesn't ever get hotter than pixelated booties. Ever.
  13. Oh nothing. Just trying to make my point in a round-a-bout softcore way, because if you haven't noticed, one has to walk on eggshells here.
  14. Those are good points I guess. Personally for me something like that is either okay for everyone, or not okay at all. Selectively deciding that one is acceptable and others are not seems sort of hypocritical of a community in general. Nawyamsaying?
  15. I think you are taking it all wrong. You created a poll, sort of encourages discussion in of itself. Something like this is going to be subject to a huge amount of personal opinion. Top *insert* lists are always a source of a LOT of debate. Not sure why you are taking the insult and offense road. Not a good way to hold a discussion.
  16. I'm glad you understand the concept of permission to use and or modify mods. I'd give you a cookie, but I don't think it will improve the situation. NO COOKIE. Other than that, I'm not sure what you are trying to prove. I don't agree or condone the practice of porting. Especially with something like this. I'm not going to act impressed when someone decompiles levels, converts them for use in UDK, rips base assets like textures, animations, models, sounds and slaps their name on it. But if we are going to pretend thats an acceptable practice, whatever.
  17. It is usually a popularity contest.
  18. I've never made a decal texture and have it NOT work with polygonoffset. The only issue I've seen is with the occasional lightmap problem or shadow z-fighting.
  19. Why even do that? If the if is a flat billboard texture with no need for transparency, just make two patchmeshes. If it does require transparency, or being flush with another plane simply give it polygonoffset in the shader keywords.
