  1. Started texturing the senate hall, decided to say screw it and do my own thing with it XD. Really excited to realize this map is about 60 days from completion! Granted i work a lot but it's amazing to see it almost finished!

New Pool Doors - Need angle reversed -V- Doors into Casino are functioning as one portal, set new teams -V- Add more plants to casinio -V- Scale glass texture in casino to tile less 2 X 2 -V- Rotated bevel texture marble pieces in casino per screenshot -V- Resolved about 12 old func groups -V- Removed tie fighter -V- Finish elevator to Casino level -V- Place sign for Casino -V- Resolve sign textures into multi textures. (Take say of them all the same size and put them together as one texture then use the 0.25 X 1 scale in the texture editor along with shifting it to get to the sign you need.) Takes 100 textures and makes them 25, which is good in this case as I need to be able to have more textures, also helps to only need 25 shaders rather then 100 XD!
  3. So here is a question, I'm tossing around the theme of the senate hall and senate room. I do want to make the senate hall layout similiar to ep3 (big round spherical room) and the senate hall layout wise similiar to swtor coruscant. However it's there overall archetecture and texture theme I seem to be a bit in the air about. Should it be bespin themed, or styled like the rest of the JH facility. I sort of broke the map down like such... On the north side of the courtyard where you'll spawn you have the hanger where mofo's arrive senators etc folks from across the galaxy with senate buisness or needs from the Jedi, The south wing is the hotel, casino, swimming pool, swoop track. The west wing off the courtyard is the Jedi Temple and the East wing the senate building. So proximity lore wise and RP wise should be taken into consideration. So far I've made it that any thing outside of the temple has a some what bespin theme to a point... The debate is, I'd like to design the senate section like the Jedi Temple as far as theme, but I feel it may asthetically flow wrong on the lore and RP values, so in that way I lean towards styling it's archetecture and texture work at the very least towards Bespin. So I leave it to YOU as you're the ones who will use it and either love it or complain XD!

In regards to the Swoop Hologram, that may be a good way to represent the area, however atm I've just been using hologram text scrolling over doors. 15 - Optimizing the ammount of textures used in the map, apparently theirs a 512 texture limit... >.> Knocked it down to 424. This made me a bit sad to find this limit as I still wanted to do a lot texture wise. However I may find new ways to do shit via texture samples. One texture with several textures on it.
  5. Focus list of the day 01 - Added Stairs to the Hotel lobby. Now as you enter theirs a set of glass stairs on either side allowing access to the second floor (originally just an asthetic) to give access to the Casino tower. 02 - Casino tower has now been linked to the swoop race track via elevator shaft. 03 - The layout of the Hotel bedroom section has been adjusted to be more asthetically pleasing. 04 - Hotel Swimming pool move to empty center of the Hotel bedroom section with a door way on either side of the pool room giving access to the North and South sides of the Hotels bedrooms s ection as a quicker route of movement through the map as well as just making sense. 05 - Senate statues removed from Councilroom. 06 - Senate statues Removed outside of Hotel entrance. 07 - Senate statues placed outside the senate hall. 08 - General layout and structure for the senate hall and senate chambers laid out. 09 - Concept art drawn up for Supreme Chancelors office. 10 - Chairs in Casino lowered, they were hovering 4 inches off the ground >:/ ??? 11 - Reception Podium in Casino moved to second floor for dinning guests. 12 - Swoop Racer desk added to lower floor of the Casino for those wishing to particapate in a race. 13 - Floor texturescaling in Casino fixed. 14 - SJC face dart board added to Casino.
  6. Theirs a few things that really need fixing, the texture of the face and neck doesn't match up with the body, color or overal materail texture wise. The face looks really really off and her eyes look like there about to pop out of her head XD...
  7. Well finally had some time to sit down and prepare the final adjustments in jh3. Removed the Senate Hotel Bar, moved the Casino over and attached it to the senate hotel lobby, also move the hallways and bedrooms from aroundt he core to the and attached them to the Senate hotel lobby as well. Started work on the new version of the tram station, this will now lead to a senate building.

  9. Alright Im not gonna kiss ass like others do. this looks horrible. the textures are overly streatched every where,.Lighting is way to bright and lacks a natural feel. The sky box is blurry and only worsens the situation. I cant say any thing to the bush work. And Im not trying to be rude, just real. This needs a LOT of work.
  10. Well progress is moving along, however slow. The Rhino is almost finished. another couple of days and it should be complete!
  11. No Warzone required to get the same quality. theirs two PK3's one enables the reflective floors the others is the map its self.
  12. The ray sheilds in the duel rooms are one way, so when teams need to send new members in they can just jump through it without having to wait for them to shut them down and turn them back on. I am working on a V2 of this. A LOT of fixes and clearing up. But that's to be expected seeing as how fast I had to build it

  14. Aw come on szico, you gotto finish her! Dont give up man! I always liked where this map was going. Personally Jh3 isn't my preffered mapping style. I prefer some thing more realistic and dramatic. I do hope you finish this. I understand atm Rend2 is hard to work with, I'm on the Warzone team and once vanilla of JH3 is done I'll be converting it over and expanding on it for it's gameplay. It can be a real bitc*. Few in the community will understand that, but even just shadowing and lighting is very different in rend2. it takes 4 X the effort and time it takes to build the structures just to get the lighting right. Even then at times it's soo different to what we expect or are use to seeing we often don't even like the result even though it's better. We just don't see it our selves becauseof what we're use to and already know how to do. Any who, don't give up! JK is at a turning point and needs us old timers to guide these younglings in the right direction LOL!
  15. LOL Glad you're excited @@TheWhitePhoenix ! Don't worry by the way Alpha stage is still a wip. Just trying to finish the Rhino before that. Any who im taking a night off, getting drunk with my gf and celebraiting a marking point after 3 years of constant work on this!

I'm VERY pleased to finally let you all in to see a small part of whats taken me 3 long years of work. I ofcourse can't take all the credit. I've had a lot of input from different members of the Jk community over the years. While progress on the rest of the map continues, you should know even what's in this demo is not a fully finished product. In other words, nothing is final! Any ways I wont bore you with more of my nonsense. Download, sit back, & enjoy Jedi's Home 3 Temple Edition Demo! Installation just drop the "Jedi's_Home_III_Temple_Edition-DEMO.pk3" in your GameData/base directoy. If you wish to enable to reflective floors be sure to move the "Z_Jedi's_Home_III-Temple_Edition_Reflective_Plugin.pk3" into your GameData/Base directory as well. Credits - Rooxon for the statue models and model conversion's, AshuraDx for shader and final touch up input Robert for theory. Bugs - None that I'm aware of! However if any are found please contact me here on Jkhub with a description and if possible a picture of the said issue... Notes - The reflective floors do not work on all video cards and even when enabled can hit FPS. If you have a weak system I wouldn't recommend using them.

Well to be honest I think originally Shadow just liked the sky box, most people like sunsets.However after the second one released the community just sort of insisted it was bespin due to the sky box and other texture chosen. I suppose some where along the way even he did as well. During the span of time I knew him it was always just Bespin in his opinion. While not built on The Cloud City Facility we all know and love from ESB it was some thing similiar, hidden and cloaked away during the Jedi purge. The ability to make changing skyboxes already exsist, however map lighting and shadows are baked into the surfaces and are static, so while the sky could change the lighting would not. This would look rather odd. The best choice would be to choose a point of time you like and have one nicely blended theme then try to develop a theme that's not concentrated and would look odd at times. In the Warzone variation of this map It will have the ability to succesfully change from night to do, so that's some thing you'll get to look forward to.
  21. Outrider will be in it, just not like you expected XD, in a MUCH better way, but I also wanted some thing a bit original. Years ago Ockniel and I both entered into a jk2files mapping contest. The theme was Taris and we took second place. I designed the hanger interior and the Ebon hawk inside of it. We ran out of time and due to a rush job I never really got to do with it what I had originally wanted. looking back at the old map file I almost used it again in this. However after having learned so much since even then I felt it just sucked. So the Rhino was born. You can't make a map un-compilable, however certain entities erase them selves during decompile. Setting brush work to these specific types of Func's will make them be erased apun decompiling the map, Ergo no one can steal your shit. XD
  22. Alot of things already are md3. However certain things like the ship etc will not be infact I'm having them written off as an entity. The reason for that is when kids decide to decompile this it will erase it and other area's and details I do not wish reused in other maps. Lets face it people do it. I've always had an issue with people using my materials and such. Even asking me honestly just kind of gets under my skin in a weird way. As for the Rhino, if any one's going to turn it into a vehicle it will be me, no one else. :/ just how I am.
