You gotta make sure the engine and renderer are in sync.  Doesn't appear to be any changes at first glance but there does seem to be some sort of issue.  Release and Release helps too.

Make an issue for it then? Have you tried it with all-base stuff?

They're better than "OpenJK multiplayer encountered a problem and must close".

I suppose, but not by much. Telling you that you've got a cx5 in rend2 somewhere isn't exactly enough to generate the solution.

You can use the exception offset to get the instruction that caused the program to crash.

@@Szico VII can you try running rend2 again, and then when the crash dialog comes up, open up task manager, find openjk.x86.exe, right click and then create a dump file? Upload that somewhere please :)

Making an issue was a mistake, rend2 isn't even in master branch and its something specific to you like using the wrong executable.

Lol sorry I didn't realize it would be such a big file. No rush to upload it :P I won't be able to take a look at it until Monday evening anyway

Here it is:

So unfortunately I couldn't actually open that dump file because creating it through task manager gives me a 64-bit process dump when I need a 32-bit one :( @@Szico VII sorry to ask again, but can you try creating another dump file please? :P This time, use taskmgr.exe in C:\Windows\SysWOW64 and it should create a 32-bit dump!

Hmm I think it could be related to that config thing (invalid cvar value in openjk.cfg?). Would running as admin be separate user?

Posted

No. Running as administrator just gives certain rights to the user that they don't ordinarily have. Think of it as running a command using "sudo" in Ubuntu and you have the general idea.

What config thing.

That just looks like your config was set incorrectly at one point like those cvars had a floating point in the value or something.

Unexpected end of info file isn't really a uix86 end of file.  It means you have a bad arena or bot file.
