[Mod Request] Prop Hunt

So I was watching Pewdiepie's prop hunt videos and I was jealous because I wish I could play something like that--it looked so funny and interesting! What if someone was able to make a game mode out of this and remake Prop Hunt in a JKA fashion, using all of the regular JKA assets? I, for one, think that would be hillarious and a better way to have fun with other people. Who knows? Maybe a server named "JKHub - Prop Hunt" could be made later in the future!

 

Honestly, I think everyone on JKHub is awesome and I'd love to see all of you ingame with just the kind of activity. Thank you for those who considered this!

Seems like it wouldn't achieve the same effect as Garry's Mod because JKA lacks physics on objects.

 

Finding the "props" would be very easy.

I find Prop Hunt boring in Garry's Mod. But then I find Trouble in Terrorist Town boring as well even though it's the most popular mode, so I guess I don't count for much.

So making objects compatible for a JKA prop hunt is impossible? I figured that since they released the source code...

Lol this would be hilarious! But we would need custom maps with lots of npcs spawned randomly, with their models as crates and barrels.

A new map would be required considering most prop-looking objects are actually brushes.

It could, but it would be piss poor compared to Garry's mod.

It is possible and it can be done. We would just need a lot of props that's all. And they would have to spawn randomly so the hunters couldn't memorize where everything is.

There are a lot of Gmod mods that would be nice in JKA, Prop Hunt and TTT in particular. I remember discussing with @@Astral Serpent possibly doing TTT last year I think, but we felt it would likely be too difficult, at least for our abilities code-wise. Nevertheless maybe if I get the chance, I could try to do something, but no guarantees.
