  2. Well for mine blender on the newest computer i cant weight half of the cube... in the more complex models, weapons or player models it just paints randomly...

I am doing things on the second older (but not the oldest) computer and everything works fine... maybe older versions of blender dont work well on newest computers or there are some graphics drivers issue.. i dont know :/

If anyone else have Blender problems, feel free to contact me. We will use teamviewer to get rid of your problems.

  3. Since I've added some modding to ffa3, the server crashes now and then out of nowhere.

    Stuff I have on ffa3:

    Couple of teleports,

    Logo of fire,

    3 ysalimari's,

Admin-ysalimari that grants access to the admin room teleport,

In the admin room I have:

    A timescale (0.5 and 1)

    A modelscale (0.1 till 2)

Normally the server lasts longer than 20 days. With the modded map on, it even doesn't get past 3 days.

    What could be the issue?

Do the icarus scripts need to have some kind of reset?

*Everybody that picks up the admin ysalimari, gets 2 parms set to 1.

  4. There's people who spend all their time teaching this stuff, it's called university.

A good book is more likely to help you self-teach than some random tutorial.

People who have lots of spare money, can go to a university. I don't want to learn coding for a job. I want to learn it just for jka. And perhaps in the future for new Jedi Knight games.

  5. If you want a C++ book, I like this one, but a book is not necessary.  This is a pretty good generic tutorial for C++. C and C++ are so interrelated that it's hard to learn just one without learning the other nowadays.  eezstreet has created some C/C++ tutorials here on JKHub as well that are probably going to be pretty useful.  You might want to check out first the primer, then the compiling lesson, then the debugging lesson.  After doing those, there are a bunch of other ones, various people have written specific to doing things in JKA (such as adding a new weapon).  You can also hop on the discord to ask other modders questions if you get stuck (I would try and at least get your head wrapped around the basic stuff I mentioned earlier first though before bugging everyone there).

Good luck and welcome to the wonderful world of programming.

The problem is that the tutorials other than eezstreet's are just copy/paste ones. I can't learn a thing from that. Eezstreet shows you pieces of code and explains everything. Other people don't do that. What do you suggest me to do then?

What do I need to learn? C and C++?

If I want to make a Turret Defense gamemode/mod for jka, what parts do I need to edit?

Do you got lots of spare time? If you do, do you mind to help me out? Steam: {JoF}Maui

  6. Kinda curious if you can rig skyrim custom followers/player models into JKA too?

Well, you can kind of do that. But you can't rig the player custimisations into jka. Say like, you're changing the size of the brows or the height of the nose. Changes like that can't be rigged. They can be done in the modelling program though with enough patience. You can rig ANYTHING of the game into jka. From buildings to plants, from plants to different sky textures and more. You can even import animals like dogs and dragons. It's a piece of cake.

If I'm allowed to put a tutorial on jkhub, I could add that to my youtube channel aswell. Your call!

  7. So yeah, the use of this topic is simple. It has 2 functions. To show what I rigged and to ask if this is legal on the forums. (since skyrim can be modded and nexusmods puts their own mods and everything online for free, I guess it is).

This is the real Skeleton from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. It is fully rigged and has taunts of itself and a few of a draugr (dir volaan and some other things). Hope you like it, I do more things like these. If I see a cool piece of armor or something, I just use it.
