    Dragon

    Here is how to get JA animations from the game into Dragon. 1. download and install Dragon. 2. extract the animation.cfg and _humanoid.gla file from the assest1 pk3 (I think.) 3. go into your Dragon folder and find the files JAanimation.cfg and JAhumanoid.gla. The JAanimation.cfg file isn't really important, but the JAhumanoid.gla file is the gla file Dragon loads on start up. You can delete it or rename it to something else. I renamed mine like DragonJAhumanoid.gla in case I did need it later. 4. drop the animation.cfg and _humanoid.gla files into your Dragon folder. 5. Rename _humanoid.gla into JAhumanoid.gla. Now when you start Dragon the default animations are loaded. To load an animation in Dragon you will: 1. open the console with the ~ key. 2. use the command impframe (import frame) 3. find the animation you want in the animation.cfg. It will look like: both_stand2 12345 2 -1 30. You need the start frame number which is 12345 and the sequence length number which is 2. 4. so you'll type into the console: impframe 12345 2 and press enter.
  2. Very very nice! I'd suggest a rifle animation which brings the elbows down closer to the sides. That's what we learned in the military. Makes you a smaller target and less likely to hit things.
  3. First I'm going to do some general bug fixes that I do with all my mods. Walk backwards doesn't play all the way. Running backwards with the saber off is slower than with the saber on. Any others people can think of? A new saber off stance. A new 'turn saber off' animation. Runs and walks. So far people want the Battlefront style. I'm for the original Jedi Knight style. I'll actually include both in the mod and people can edit the file to get which ones they want. I'll keep the sabers from moving into the ground. Also all sabers, guns, saber off use the same runback. So I'll keep the default one. I'll include lots of my stances so if people want specific ones that are not chosen they can edit those too. Imporant to redo the staff and duals walks. Less poopy pants. If nothing else I'll put the saber off walks here. I'll aim to make new ones though. I have some gun fire animations. They are some of the first animations I worked on. So if we want to use some better ones no problem. I don't know if I'll get around to working on new ones any time soon.
  4. @@ChalklYne and @@hka1894 A one handed staff style like Exar Kun is on my list of saber styles to make. Just sayin'.
  5. I started makine a new stand that is a mix of the JO and JA stance. Once I get it done and approved by everyone here I plan on doing something I've been wanting to do for years: I'm going to remove the saber off animation. It's fine with singles and ok with duals, but the fact that a staff cuts through the body is just sloppy on Raven's part.

  9. That was pretty fun. You need more enemies on the map to destroy!
  10. That would be very handy when stances are able to be added. As it is right now I just have keys bound to all my favorite sabers.

  12. @ DUMAH11523 If you are sure that those numbers are correct (126 1 -1 60) then you actually don't need Dragon at all. The yellow stance is: Both_stand2 ##### 2 0 30 I don't remember it's exact number off hand. Go get the file animation.cfg file located in models/players/_humanoid Save somewhere on your pc. Then open the animation.cfg file. Go down to the yellow stance Both_stand2 I put // in front of the animations to disable them, and this leaves the original info incase I need it. So mine would look like: //both_stand2 ##### 2 0 30 both_stand2 126 1 -1 60 Now make the folders models/players/_humanoid and put your edited animation.cfg in there. Zip it into a .pk3 file and put in your base folder.
  13. Great work on the detail in your saber. Though I like the bland one becuse it would be comfortable to use.

      Spider monkey grapple. If unable to successfully sweep an opponent climb up on them, put then in a head lock, and then wiggle until you both fall over.

      I did that in fencing last night. We may have video of it. I'll post it if we do.

  19. Where is this coming from? I've never heard of it? Awesome stuff! Love the new hud!
