I never saw anything happen other then some white print commands while debugging the full map. Now with that portion, I saw some things in blue written in the console. Never saw that before . . . If I may, I have another question: is it possible to program the script so that it plays a sound when the door opens and/or closes ?? I've been trying with the sound option but the moment I compile the script, it gives an error message . . .

Thanks, now it works As for the "developer 1" thing, I've had it enabled when debugging it myself but I didn't see any error messages in the console or could it be an OpenJK thing/bug ??

Forgot to include it, but there is a target_scriptrunner present in the original map. Anyway, even with the scriptrunner, it doesn't turn: http://www.apprentice.be/Dump/CIC_doors2.rar
-
Here it is: http://www.apprentice.be/Dump/CIC_doors.rar The idea is that all doors are turning (as seen aboard the Battlestar Pegasus) when the trigger is hit. For now, I've tried it with only one door, to no avail. Hopefully you will have better luck then I had . . .

4 weeks later, still can't get it to work. Anyone interested in making an example map ??

Nothing of that kind. Only a lot of models which the game cannot find . . .
-
Nope. Followed it to the letter to no avail . . .

I've been trying to implement the following tutorial into my map: http://jkhub.org/tutorials/article/103-rotating-doors/ but both a modified version as well as a direct one-on-one approach has no result here. Please fix this asap . . .

Why ban him ?? If he uses a dynamic IP address, you can contact his ISP with an abuse report and they will take care of the rest . . .

Battlestar Aurelia - Readme Outline ONE-JO - 23-12-2012 "You watch me. I'll have my own Battlestar one day" Description: This map will be "odd" because this is more of an outline rather then a playable map and originally, it was designed for Elite Force and specificly the RPG-X modification. However, given the fact that the RPG-X developers decided to regard me as an untermensch, I decided to cease development of the RPG-X version. The origins of this map lies within all my previous maps released for Elite Force, namely the Asteroid Base, Battlestar Bellerophon and U.S.S Leonov maps, augmented with various elements from a wide range of sci-fi television shows, movies and videogames both past and present, I have made an attempt to incorporate all these elements into a single, workable map. Since I feel that the Aurelia's design is a strong one and not depending onto one game alone, I decided to port and release this map for Jedi Outcast instead and altough its more of an outline then a playable map, I decided to release it in its current form due to (for the most part) time constraints and to give players and fellow mappers a chance to see what I have been up to. Some areas are complete, some aren't and some are somewhere in between. Game info: Game: Jedi Outcast Gametype: Free for all (Other modes may work but are not supported) Number of Players: 14 Bot Support: No This map is compatible with Jedi Academy's high-resolution pack, which can be downloaded from the website. Credits: Mapping: Apprentice Additional models: Apprentice Additional textures: Apprentice The Master plan: (Outline 1-JO) Version ONE-JO is a direct port from the Jedi Academy version towards Jedi Outcast, since both games are practicly using the same assets, except for some textures and models which have been corrected. (Outline 1) For this map, there is no master plan. I have decided to release it "as is" and if there is sufficient feedback, I may decide to release an Outline TWO or port this map to other idTech3 based games, including a version for RPG-X but that depends on how the RPG-X developers continue to regard me. Which can be circumvented by copying and renaming an existing map. Other then that, I don't have any problems with 1.4 . . .

Settings Keep resetting after quitting Jedi Academy
Apprentice replied to Merek's topic in Jedi Knight Tech Support
For a possible solution, see here: http://jkhub.org/topic/2326-my-jaconfig-hates-me-it-keeps-resetting/ -
It could also be a shader issue. I had something similar like this when the image I used in the editor was of a different size then the one used in game . . .
-
That would've been my suggestion as well . . .

Does anybody here play Knights of the Force?
Apprentice replied to CaptainCrazy's topic in Jedi Knight General Discussions
Why would I play a "'mod" when the original mods are far better ?? :/ -
It could be something with the geometry of certain portions of the map or the complexity of it. Did you try the Bobtools --> Brush cleanup feature yet ??
-
Why not use the 1.4 version ?? Works like a charm on my W7 rig . . .

I didn't know what was contained within that particular autoexec.cfg file and from my experiences with autoexec.cfg files in PK3 archives, it usually messes up my controls. That's why I keep all my key bindings contained with them. I want to try something different this time 1) Remove all custom PK3 files and *.cfg files and leave only the following files in your GameData\Base folder: 2) Run jamp.exe or jasp.exe directly from the GameData folder. 3) Reset your binds and enter in the console writeconfig jkhub.cfg 4) Exit the game and see if a jkhub.cfg exists. Then restart the game and see if your bindings is saved. If not, enter the console exec jkhub (you don't need to type the .cfg extension). If all is well, it should load your binding then.

That is what is causing your troubles. Files within a PK3 will take precedence over 'loose' files as they are within your Base folder. Try removing that particular PK3 file and see if the problem persists . . .
