  1. Jaden! Wait! Please! I was wrong. Take me back to the Academy, I need help.
  2. You've tried to kill me, and now you have lured me into a trap!
  3. Well it would work about the same way, just replace the path to the probe droid to the twilek. I'm not sure which model that would be though. If you're talking about the ingame one, its a bit complicated because its a humanoid part that is player selectable, which means everything is chopped up into pieces.
  4. Will somebody get this walking carpet out of my way?
  5. Everything that has transpired has done so according to my design.
  6. It is unavoidable. It is your destiny. You, like your father, are now mine. drat ninja'd!
  7. Hmmm okay. So what if we changed it to only use rotation in specific circumstances? Like when going prone, doing a flip, being held upside down, etc...? Obviously engine changes would be necessary, but it would keep the cost down, since circumstances like that don't happen too often, right?
  8. NPC folder is for definitions about what the ai is suppose to be doing. You don't really want to go there yet, might be useful later though for creating a custom npc, but don't worry about that yet. I'd suggest avoiding the Twi'lek Jedi first, that's a bit more complicated. If you want to start out simple, open up assets1.pk3, then go to models > players > probe Now, what you want to do is find probe_droid.jpg and open it up in GIMP. Then paint on top of stuff. Suggestion: Attempt to make it look like a disco ball. After your done save it to a new location but with the same name. Then copy everything in the original probe folder and overwrite the jpg file with your new file (make sure it has the same exact name though). Then create a folder called disco, inside of it create another folder called models and then inside of that a folder called players, then paste your folder containing the new proble files inside of that. Now drag that entire set of folders into a pk3. Call it whatever you want. Save it, stick it in base, and load up the game and try and spawn a probe droid. If you did it right, and I didn't forget something in this tutorial you should have a new shiny disco ball probe droid, for all your dancing/torture needs.
  9. Something simple would even be good. Boss is shielded and invincible until you break 4 power conduits or something like that.
  10. If you are suffering as much as I am, please tell me.
  11. This thread has inspired me to work on JKG code more. I love this thread. So just curious as to why bounding boxes do not rotate? Seems like it would be an immensely useful thing to have aligning the top of the bounding box with the players head and all.
  12. If only you had JKG thermal detonators...
  13. It doesn't have to be that way. We could keep it a secret.
  14. Its more fun to treat it that way.
  15. You should save it for JKG then, you'll never want to go back to that afterwards. >=D
  16. That's it, I give up on coding Imma be a modeller now.
  17. Another idea is to try and use a proxy server to see if you can connect that way. If your ISP is throttling game servers for some reason you might be able to get around it temporarily that way (though you'll still have a pretty bad ping).
  18. Little you can do if its your isp's stuff if you don't disconnect your router, or have them reset stuff on their end. You could also try a tracert and see if it is going somewhere weird before it goes to the game servers.
  19. No, I am your father.
  20. Come on. Why don't you take a look around. You know what's about to happen, what they're up against.
  21. But you heard Master Windu. He gave me strict orders.
  22. Windows + R Type in cmd Press Enter Type in "ipconfig /flushdns" Press Enter Type in "ipconfig /release" Press Enter Type in "ipconfig /renew" Press Enter Ping server, check if working. If still doesn't work, disable your local area connection (either via unplugging or by disabling network adapter) to router. Unplug router. Wait 10 seconds. Plug router back in. Enable network adapter again. Attempt to ping a server see if fixed. If still not working, bypass router, plug directly into wall, repeat ipconfig /flush dns and try again. If still not working type in "netsh interface ip set dns "Local Area Connection" static 192.168.0.200" substituting 192.168.0.1 stuff for a new static ip that would fit on your network (usually adjusting the number by 2-3 is fine). Then repeat the release renew and flush dns steps and try again. To revert static ip back to dns assignment use this "netsh interface ip set dns "Local Area Connection" dhcp". If still not working, contact ISP support group. Make sure you don't have any vpns or proxy ip software enabled.
  23. Go here: http://archive.org/web/web.php then type in http://kotf.com in the wayback machine. Also this might work better, but its from later: http://web.archive.org/web/20051118073854/http://kotf.com/ Also I notice that he has it posted as "Knights of the Force 2002-2005" so it may have existed even earlier then what I thought.
  24. It seems about right, that's about the time I remember running into it. Although using the wayback machine shows something back in 2004: http://web.archive.org/web/20040411213337/http://kotf.com/bakim.htm
  25. Damnit the Roshes are taking over. I knew it would come to this!
