A new version of the launcher has been released, you may now download it manually or through the official KotF Launcher V6 Changes: - The Updater will now display text indicating how many files remain to be downloaded and have been downloaded. - The Updater will now display text more appropriate to the situation if you are updating or installing the mod. - The updater will now automatically remove any files deemed obsolete by the team. It will at present remove the original KotF_Ep7_Skin.pk3 and KotF_Ep7_NPC.pk3 files if you have not removed them already. - When selecting Update/Install, you will now be given the option to shut down your computer after completing the installation or update. This will allow you to allow the updater to run overnight, and the updater will shut down your computer for you. - For the sake of convenience, you will now have the choice to automatically connect to the official KotF server upon selecting Multiplayer.

Revan vs. Malak Open Beta + we're hiring new beta testers!
Linken replied to Linken's topic in Knights of the Force
Today is the last day you can audition for the role of beta tester! You will be in a position to change the mod for the better and experience every new feature before anyone else, including our next 2 missions! Auditions end at 11:59PM EST today! KotF_Missions.pk3 link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/19Wuoupvxxa6EIB-Iqii5EqzOjZYgTDU0/view?usp=sharing Google Form link: https://goo.gl/forms/f2eEVwovMRcv02Fx2 -
We'll look into it, thank you.

Unfortunately with the limits of JKA, effects are kept at a finite amount, it has nothing to do with your computer. If we can find the area in the code to increase the number of effects, then it won't be an issue anymore. None of the weapons are bugged, I promise.

We are currently looking for beta testers! We are looking for 3 individuals to help test new features for the mod and bring it up to as high a quality as possible! The initial voices of the players, beta testers are the first and only line of defense between the developers behind the software's creation, and the user base. Originally, all you had to do was simply post "I want to be a beta tester!" but now we will be holding an "audition" of sorts. An open beta will be available for the fixed Revan vs. Malak bonus mission. The mission will feature a number of bug fixes in addition to having Revan voiced by the talented Kevin Smets, the voice of Logan Starr/Revan in the KOTOR Trilogy on YouTube. If you are interested, please download the new KotF_Missions.pk3 file, play through the mission a few times, and fill out the google form. KotF_Missions.pk3 link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/19Wuoupvxxa6EIB-Iqii5EqzOjZYgTDU0/view?usp=sharing Google Form link: https://goo.gl/forms/f2eEVwovMRcv02Fx2 What we are looking for in a beta tester: - Prompt, thorough testers, looking for bugs and reporting them with very specific details. - People not afraid to express their opinions and stick by them. What we are NOT looking for in a beta tester - Lazy individuals who take forever to get the job done without a reasonable excuse. - "Yes men", or individuals who agree with everything the developers decide regardless if it's a good or bad idea. Perks of being a Beta Tester - Early access to all features - Taco tuesdays (sometimes) The beta tester recruitment process will last until 11:59PM EST Saturday, November 3rd 2018. After this I will carefully look over all beta test results and select 3 individuals who will then be announced on Discord Tuesday, November 6th 2018. We look forward to working with you.

FAQ has been given a new question.
-
Appreciate it, we'll be in touch.
-
What language?

A few questions, answer them as honestly as you'd like. https://goo.gl/forms/5fUSnLEkvthhzEY72 Thank you for following the development of Knights of the Force, and may the Force be with you.

FAQ has been updated.

There should be steps inside of the file. Though I'm not too sure, I didn't release that file, @@Fire Phoenix did.
-
Haven't thought about it to be honest with you.
-
Re-install, let the updater do its thing. Do not stop it. Be patient. Don't put your computer in standby mode.
-
Be patient.
-
It's a section of the forum and that dll isn't part of the mod. Talk to a professional.
-
Yeah, I'm very sure it's in the mod. Also we don't want your money.
-
Thanks for your questions! 1. I'm guessing you're talking about the First Order flametrooper? We're not against putting it in, but we'll need to code in a flamethrower weapon for it. Does the flamethrower model exist? The camouflaged scout trooper I believe is already in the mod? Look under the 41st Elite Corps faction in the Galactic Republic. 2. Leaving out vehicles (minus the swoop, tauntaun, and monster vehicles) from the spawner was intentional. Vehicles in single player are very unreliable for the most part, and we wanted to avoid any potential player headaches as a result of this. 3. We've released 3 updates so far, if you're asking about future updates, refer to the FAQ.

- new effects or textures
- new hud or console
- (and 1 more)

I wouldn't even know where to begin with Galak_Mech
-
Phasma deflecting blaster bolts was just a script implemented in the code. We'll have to look at it in more detail.

I'll keep this short. Yes, we want droidekas in We don't need to ask mbII for their source code because Tim did it in SP, 2.0 released without OpenJK, so therefore it's possible to do droidekas with little or no coding. Plus even if we asked, they'd more than likely just say no. We'll put them in one day, don't know when.

Launcher has been updated, you can download the new launcher through the link above or by pressing the "Update" button on the launcher. V5 Changes: - The launcher will now run if the KotF folder is absent. - If mods are detected in the base folder, a warning message will appear informing you of any potential crashes.
-
Launcher has been updated, the bugfixes are as follows: V4 Changes: - Updated the background picture so Thrawn has the top of his head restored + Palpatine is more focused. - You will now be required to run the updater from the launcher, attempting to run the updater by itself will result in an error message and the program will not run. This was done to prevent potential issues with first-time users installing the mod in the wrong place, thus causing the mod to get grey blocks instead of text as it's supposed to.
