Well FM3 made ragnos work and it's easy to do for someone like me, just rig him to the _humanoid skeleton and make fake legs that have transparent textures so that the bones down there have something weighed to them so you don't get errors. The saber bot of course does not use the _humanoid skeleton either, if it fits decently enough it could be weighed and recompiled, I merely just meant getting the AI to behave properly as an NPC.

I wish this function could be fixed in MP but no one has done it yet. They'll spawn but wont behave right.

Something that I didn't mention either is that the maps don't feel like worlds, they're small in comparison to SWG planets and there is no night/day or weather. I think the level progression speed is better for the free to play people as in for the subscribers it seems like it would be too easy to amass levels and money, it should be something that takes a LONG time to keep the game interesting. Once you're maxed out it would get boring really fast. While you can play by yourself some missions you either need a group or need to level up a bit then come back to if you wanna finish them. -

The story doesn't seem to fit well with the KotOR games, huge problem is the mandalorian armor that the republic soldiers wear. It is SEVERELY lacking in classes and what goes along with that, game dynamics. You can't do nearly as much in this game as you could in SWG. Not everyone wants to have a combat profession and even on the free account that gains exp slower it's pretty easy to level up. SWG at least let you learn skills from other professions and wasn't level based. Oh yeah, space combat is so terrible I don't even know why they added it into this game, it should be free roaming like SWG was. -
I don't use radiant and this would be the worst time to even try to learn the most basic function it has since I'm trying to get proficient in Mudbox for 3d painting.

Well I'm bumping this cause I downloaded it and tried it out mostly cause my old roommate who loved KotOR just as much as the next guy despite not being much of a SW fan. I find it mildly amusing for the moment but I doubt I'd pay for it just because it's not nearly as good as SWG (Pre-CU, not that start as Jedi crap) was and the emulator for that which is free to play and unrestricted is already nearly finished and playable, though not everything works. -

Well I have been updating the progress bar so you can keep an eye on that to get a general idea but it's taking time, I update it every time I chisel away at the file. -
Well there is mapping in blender and I beleive ms3d can do it but what about other programs? I'd really like to map something but I can't stand the interface of radiant, if I could model everything in Softimage then just put it in radiant to do the small things to make it work then I'd make tons of maps. We need a coder to create some plugins for the major 3d apps to export to radiant.

Better english needed, don't know wtf you're trying to say. My post stands, remaking a small portion of JA that has a SMALL community on a different engine is dumb. Recreating JA (although not smart in general) on a different engine would be better, then let MB be bassed off of that. -

Well I'm actually not going to use it like the top video shows, going to create a 4gb ramdisk and allocate it to the paging file for speed up, similar to the SSD cache drive. Both posts above mainly seem aimed at data loss from storing on either a SSD or RAMdisk but what about using either as a cache that would just hold the temp files for fast read/write of frequently used files? The risk of data loss on these methods seems small. I'm no programmer but from an artist stand point the save/load times of huge Softimage, Photoshop and Mudbox scenes seems like a worthy thing to address since no amount of physical mem, video card or processor speed can fix, HDD is a 7200 rpm 1tb SATA 2 drive. I know there's SATA 3 but most say the difference isn't very noticeable and I definitely don't need anything larger than what I have.
