Maybe it sounds like a ridiculous idea, but I thought it might come in handy if it can be done.
One of the most requested things here is to make certain player models compatible with SP. Some requests are still unfulfilled, for various reasons.
So here's my (ridiculous) idea: An easy-to-use tool, in the style of NPC Tool, that makes player models compatible with SP.
It shouldn't be a pretty complicated tool, just something you can insert your desired model and it generates the necessary files. It would make the process
to create SP characters a lot easier.

I'm not a fan of Rebels, but I think the characters are well designed. They look more realistic.

We need more material and references to begin with. Everyone's imagination is different, so people might misinterpret the things you've listed here, which can result in you not being happy with the work.
The best way to show us what you want is to make concept arts and post them here. If you can draw and show us what your character looks like, people will have a better idea about what your character should look like.

I'm wondering why nobody has requested Rey's speeder yet. I would like to see that as a replacement for the swoop bikes.

Maybe it's nobody, just a fanmade character without a name. But it looks great indeed.

I saw disney released codes of game.
It was Raven Software actually. They've got many requests to release the source codes for both SP and MP, especially for the first one, as the code for MP was already available. But they finally gave in right after Disney took over and LucasArts was closed down.

I was always wondering if it's possible to enhance the abilities of the mind trick. The only thing it can is confusing enemies or taking control of them, which is pretty lame if you ask me. It simply gives you the opportunity to confuse them so you can kill them better. My idea is to give the mind trick a few more options you can choose from.
Imagine something like this - You use the mind trick on an enemy and this shows up:
Press to take control of the enemy.
Press [K] to kill the enemy.
Press [J] to stun the enemy.
Press to make the enemy an ally.
Press [L] to stop the mind trick.
My idea is based on my expectations when I first played Jedi Outcast and saw the force power. I thought the mind trick was able to do a lot more cool stuff, but I was disappointed when it turned out that you can only confuse/control an enemy.

From what I understood, he's trying to recreate the spectator camera from MP to get it work in SP.

It crashed when I tried to load a map (I tried some normal MP maps). But here's the funny thing: I just selected a Hoth map, now it has finally loaded. I'm in!

I've installed the mod, but every time I try to load a map, the infamous Windows Error Report shows up. I don't know what's wrong, but it surely can't be the graphics,
as I turned them all to the lowest settings possible.

A mod like this has been made many years ago, with the sounds as heard in the video. But the downside was that they have been recorded from
Episode II and they were badly edited so that you could still hear some unwanted sounds (e.g. the first seconds when Yoda blocks the lightning).
If someone could use the sounds from the video to replace the standard sounds of the game, that would be great.

I meant the Grievous from the 2003 "Clone Wars" cartoon.
It has been already done years ago, along with other Clone Wars characters, with a cool cel-shading effect.
There it is: http://mrwonko.de/jk3files/Jedi%20Academy/Models/Model%20Pack/51924/

You'd be missing the shaders and such, which are essential.
Okay, I forgot about that one.
-
One possibility:
- Take the assets0.pk3 from Jedi Outcast and copy it to the desktop.
- Rename it to 0_assets0.pk3.
- Open it and delete every file and folder except textures.
- Copy the file to the Jedi Academy base folder.
-
I hope they correct that ASAP. It's good that you didn't get pissed because of that, but it might have a different effect to those who aren't aware of
that the mod is not as the authors described it. I mean, they were talking about an advanced AI that is not yet in the mod. Because of that, some people might think "Yeah! Mortal Kombat for Jedi Academy!" without
even knowing that Jedi Fighter doesn't have that yet. It would be terrible if people would complain about missing features that will be included in the next versions.
And talking about Mortal Kombat: It's just an idea and I don't know if it's possible, but some sort of finishing moves would be pretty cool.

@@skew has something like that in his Jedi Fighter mod. Maybe he can help you with that.

Hey man, this model is looking really great, can you keep working on it?
DT hasn't been working on it for about a year. He focused on other projects, like the First Order Stormtrooper and Luke from The Force Awakens.

I think a horde mode based on the Death Troopers novel would fit great in Jedi Academy.

Sorry, I had missed your answer, and did not responded to it. I suspended work on the model last summer, but I still plan to come back to it later.
Latest version looked like this:

This model has a lot potential. It looks like some new alien race or some kind of bounty hunter. Seriously, you should make something out of it.
Make it a separate model. I know it's supposed to be Galen Marek, but with some new textures, it could be a very different character.

Here's my low-poly version. It's, of course, a much more reduced version of what I initially intended. I think (and hope) that the model itself is finally finished.
dark_apprentice, RevanKnight and Darth Sion like this -
Okay, I finished the low-poly version. It's now Tris: 1,860 Verts: 1,294 Faces: 605. Is that enough? If not, I can try to make it lower.

The only map that has been made so far is the forest of the Starkiller Base.
Like I suggested in another topic, the Graveyard of Giants would be a great map.

I think I have KOTF installed somewhere. Let me see if I can find the map.
I found the BSP and weather file.
I think I have it somewhere, but without KotF. I've collected many maps when Jk3files was still online.
EDIT: Nope, couldn't find it. It seems that KotF is the closest source to the map.
-
I've read your previous post. But because I doubt that somebody would download KotF and install it just to extract the map, I hope that the map can be found somewhere else.

Coincidentally, the german voice actor of Jaden is the same who voiced Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool. Because of this, this model gets a big thumb up from me!
