GojiraGamer
So right now I'm working on a mod to replace the music in JKA with music from KoTOR, but when I try to change the menu music, all I get is silence. Can anyone tell me how to solve this? Link to comment
Lancelot
@@GojiraGamerI think it's because Jedi Academy supports MP3 formats with about 120 kBit/s. If your files have more than that, like320 kBit/s, you should convert them into 120 kBit/s. A question to those who are into coding:Is it possible to modify the game so that it recognizes MP3 files with higher quality? Link to comment
Ramikad
Also, wasn't there something about music being mono or stereo? Or am I confusing it with sounds? Link to comment

The only sound-related value that's been increased is the default playback frequency (from 22kHz to 44kHz). Boothand likes this Link to comment

The only sound-related value that's been increased is the default playback frequency (from 22kHz to 44kHz). Right. How about wav files? I seem to recall I could be a lot more careless with wav files and have it accepted in OpenJK, but I may remember incorrectly. For mp3s and wavs, or one of them, I think it has a cap on 44khz sample rate, but the console should usually state what's wrong. Link to comment
Circa
Pretty sure vanilla requires 44kHz as the maximum for both wav and mp3. I remember that being a console error I've seen many a time. Tempust85 likes this Link to comment

IrocJeff
What do you mean by "output"? I think he means how do you change a sound file to the right frequency, like in Audacity. GojiraGamer likes this Link to comment

Circa
Ah. I used to use that back in the day, but don't have it anymore. I believe the options are in the File or Edit menu, though that could he completely wrong. Link to comment
GojiraGamer
Thanks! I think it worked. Now to test it out... Link to comment
