John Barleycorn Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 Well, this game is really good, and i've discovered just now. I always arrive too late in everything. However modders here are very capable, my compliments. And my greetings to all the people here.

John Barleycorn Posted July 26, 2014 Author Posted July 26, 2014 Ah and by the way cool site. It's better than many ohters i've seen on this argument.
John Barleycorn Posted July 27, 2014 Author Posted July 27, 2014 What a nice guy. However, allow me a question guys... Just for curiosity, what do you think about kotor saga? Do you like also that one or only the jedi knight one? (my portrait means nothing eh )
Flynn Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Having only played the beginning of the first kotor, but also watched almost a whole campaign, I'd say I like them both, just for different reasons. Also welcome! Come play CTF sometime John Barleycorn likes this

CaptainCrazy Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 I really enjoyed playing KOTOR, played it maybe 3 times because it was kinda different to the Star Wars games we're used to. Welcome to the forum.
Onysfx Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 I've attempted to play kotor 4 times on this laptop over the past 2 years. Failed each time. One day, I will be able to play it.

One day, I will be able to play it.Well, if you try them in windows 7 then you must forget it, becouse they won't work. Or, at least, kotor II. Kotor 1 i made it work after some efforts, but the sith lords seems there is no way. However it's one of my favorite series too. Too bad that speaking of gameplay, i think kotor and alike (as nevewinter nights) are quite shitty, jedi academy is the best on that, but as roleplay, kotor are unsurpassed.
Onysfx Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 @@Nicotine Caffeine Ah I can get to run just fine on windows 7 but...my graphics were severely messed up. Basically, all the playermodels were rotated on a 90 degree angle, and were 5 meters away where they should have been. Everything else worked fine.
John Barleycorn Posted July 29, 2014 Author Posted July 29, 2014 Hm... Well on my w7 everytime i start the game the graphic directly make it crash to desktop. I've read in many forums that there was lot of people having same issue. I wish i can have ol'good xp again. Never had problems with every videogame on that system. I'm glad that at least jedi academy seems to have absolutely no problem with w7.

The newest version didn't work, but if you try downloading different versions of opengl32.dll online, and putting them in your root kotor directory, one at a time, hopefully eventually one of them will work. I know kotor crashes with the latest version of opengl32.dll IIRC.
John Barleycorn Posted August 7, 2014 Author Posted August 7, 2014 Really? I didn't know that.. I have to try.. Thanks!
+FRivan Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 It can work. I was able to do both on Windows 7 and 8, as well as 8.1. You have to mess with the setting txt file, run in windowed mode, and the like.
John Barleycorn Posted August 15, 2014 Author Posted August 15, 2014 Booh. Some time ago i tried following a kind of tutorial on the lucasarts forums, but it didn't work. Maybe i'm simply too unhandy.
+FRivan Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 Kotor 2 folder, settings.txt or whatever it is called. Windowed mode-True or yes, whichever the game used. 800x600 resolution, or until you got the right one. Compatibility mode.
minilogoguy18 Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 I got KotOR 2 working just fine on Win 7 x64. Even playing with the restored content mod and a widescreen hack that I found that enables true widescreen resolution.
