DarthDementous Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Hey everyone, A friend shared me this link: http://psyko3d.50webs.com/pics/Darth_Malgus.html I don't recall that ever being released... I'm not sure if that is still a work in progress but to the unitiated it looks very close to completion if at all completed. Psyko, where there any personal reasons this beautiful model was withheld? I don't want to go gushing about how unfair it is to not have it in my base folder I'm just generally curious what happened to prolong the release of the Darth Malgus model. Regards, Dementous Bek likes this
Bek Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 I just saw that model this week on google images, I too am curious as to what happened to it
Kualan Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 A private project, I believe. I don't believe it is intended for public release (same with his Grievous model).
minilogoguy18 Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 I already asked about the Malgus model, something needs to be fixed, forget what, he doesn't really wanna bother with it. If you really wanna know more you could just mention him in this post using @hisname...
DarthDementous Posted April 6, 2014 Author Posted April 6, 2014 I forgot about the @hisname thing. That's really a pity if it was a private project but I guess if @@Psyk0Sith has his reasons then we'll just have to accept it and wait for other great public models. Bek likes this

Psyk0Sith Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Yes, it's texture related, i kind of rushed the UV layout and could've gotten better resolution for small details. I did some texture improvements on the head though, but haven't touched anything else in months. SithLord888 likes this

DarthDementous Posted April 9, 2014 Author Posted April 9, 2014 Awesome thanks for the response @@Psyk0Sith! That's pretty cool news that its still been worked on (somewhat) I just know that whatever is released next it'll knock my socks off so keep up the good work.
DarthDementous Posted April 11, 2014 Author Posted April 11, 2014 On another note @@Psyk0Sith, what's the deal with the grievous model being worked on? Is that also incomplete?
Psyk0Sith Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Grievous will never be released, it's a portfolio piece and cannot be made public, sorry.
DarthDementous Posted April 12, 2014 Author Posted April 12, 2014 No problem, must've been a great challenge to harness your skills what with all the intricate droidiness of grievous
Psyk0Sith Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 The hardest part was figuring out the details and how he was built, references were pretty scarce and low res at the time. I eventually found full body shots for proportions and studied sequences from the movie to represent him as best as i could.
DarthDementous Posted April 13, 2014 Author Posted April 13, 2014 I'd say its certainly an improvement over the Grievous VM model at least texture wise. If I wasn't too pre-occupied with mapping I'd be inspired to learn modelling .

I could work on the textures of Darth Malgus if you post up what you have of him currently.
