Zappa_0 Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Ok ive been trying to work on this most of the day and thought I would post about it here. What Im Trying to do Creating a SBD Gun Weapon for the Briar Pistol so it looks like its shooting from its arm. NPC support (having it do the same thing but as a NPC) Ive used the one from MB2, had ok results as a player weapon but didnt work well with npc. So any thoughts of suggestions, is it even possible to do?
mrwonko Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 I have no idea what and SBD gun is, but replacing weapon models isn't all that difficult, provided you can model.
minilogoguy18 Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 SBD=Super Battle Droid Anything is possible with the source code being out, just need the know how to make it happen.
Circa Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 The one from MB2 is set up correctly. I used it in my Prequel Conversion mod and it worked fine. https://jkhub.org/files/file/1548-prequel-conversion-mod/
therfiles Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 The only problem is getting it to animate correctly. You can do something like this in SP with custom _humanoids, but I think you'd need to do some coding to get it to work in MP, unfortunately.
Zappa_0 Posted January 25, 2014 Author Posted January 25, 2014 I tried that but it didnt work for me in mp. I looked at the model for the briar and it is jangos weapon, not the sbd.
Circa Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Ah, didn't read the part about MP. Yeah, not possible without coding.
therfiles Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Plus, I think @@Circa used some script to make the NPCs work correctly, which would only work in SP. Circa likes this
Tempust85 Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 (no idea if mark1 works properly in MP) Try this: edit the mark1 NPC file & make the model the SBD. The mark1's code specifies tags for blaster fire to come from. If you have 2 of the tags on the SBD for briar blaster fire named appropriately, then it *should* work.
Stoiss Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 you can spawn Mark1 in MP but it does not work right in MP, it needs the animations for it to work prooper, and the right fx files for the gun, as far as i knowwitch i think needs codeing
