GTKRadiant Save Problem

Recommended Posts

I'm having another problem with GTKRadiant. This time it regards saving my project. It seems to save it properly, but it doesn't show up in the destination folder. Here's a video for those who would like to visually view my problem.

I've seen programs installed in the program files directory behave like this when they believe they don't have administrator rights. Have you tried saving after running GTK as administrator?

That's 1.4, right? Yes, saving is buggy with that, it's basically a miracle that it ever worked, the code was utterly broken and just happened to work on Windows XP and earlier by coincidence. I suggest you upgrade to 1.6, but you can also turn of the Win 32 save dialog in the preferences to get a working file save dialog (provided you manually add .map).

Well, I don't know about 1.3 for sure, but I guess it has the same save bug. Why would you use such an ancient version?

Because it was the only version that could get past the LucasArts read-only files.

My LucasArts folder and all the other folders are read-only.

You sure you are not trying to access the disk's files?
