Actually I get stuck forever in "Starting up..." with the latest rend2 (got latest OpenJK and the redistributables mentioned). But I'm not in a hurry.

Er, sorry for such a silly question, but I wonder if you can post a link to the latest Rend-2 build?-
I really want to re- edit my Kotorpack with the bumpmupping...

I can upload an updated version tonight. I've started introducing changes to require newer graphics cards (anything from the past 5 years should work) so people who could run it before might find they can no longer run it. If you can't, please let me know what error message you get and also what graphics card you have :)

Updated to the latest rend2 fork code, compiled as release and placed everything where it needs to go. I then downloaded and placed this new rend2 dll. Now everytime I run openjk, it crashes upon startup.

I noticed that the first time for me it crashed and some maps it freezes while loading then crashes, besides that it works for me and looks great, amazing work !

@@DT85 Can you try running OpenJK through Visual Studio and seeing where it crashes?

 

 

@@DT85 would need to make a debug build of the rend2.dll to run the debugger in Visual Studio... correct?

@@Xycaleth -- I humbly request rend2 normal mapping be incorporated into the ModView C++ source code so that we can pre-visualize normal mapping on Ghoul2 characters and vehicles (from within ModView)... I suppose the same request could be made for the MD3View C++ source code as well. Pretty Please... :winkthumb:

While Xycaleth worked on rend2, Boothand in secrecy, having in fact stolen several recent hairs from Xycaleth's arm, worked on a cloning device which would provide an army of developers, from mere DNA extracts + breakfast cereals, every full moon.

That also requires someone to code the changes :P And it seems like it's only me at the moment.

Yeah, we certainly do need more coders... where would we go to recruit more of them?

ok it crashes on kotor flight school. Could just be me. I'll have to test it more and remember the names of the other maps it crashes on. The nose of the rebel pilot  stretches out like the luke model. Is there going to be a sp version of rend2?

I still get stuck on "Starting up...", although it could be specific for my laptop computer. The one I usually use is out of reach for some months. AMD ati drivers.
