Solution mrwonko Posted September 29, 2013 Solution Posted September 29, 2013 r_mode -1 r_customwidth 1920 r_customheight 1080 vid_restart possibly adjusting the FOV (cg_fov, I think)Videos won't play anymore, if I remember correctly. NumberWan and AshuraDX like this
Szico VII Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 This will also crash your MP mode upon map load. Try OpenJK if you want a non-crash widescreen in MP
Circa Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 I still want to know why my Mac App Store version has unflawed widescreen support and the PC version doesn't.
Dumah 11523 Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 This will also crash your MP mode upon map load. Try OpenJK if you want a non-crash widescreen in MP * What exactly is"OpenJK"? I am interested in this because as you say this method for widescreen does always crash at MP.
ChalklYne Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 @ http://jkhub.org/forum/49-openjk/ got u a nice overview and things right there tltr? it is a coding project that will fix up most of the major bugs from the SP and MP engines
Dumah 11523 Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 * So I just need to download the last updated version from this link, right?: http://builds.openjk.org./ Ok, but then where I should place the files now, in the base folder or in the gamedata folder?
Xycaleth Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 In your GameData folder. Then load up JKA using openjk.x86.exe instead of jamp.exe.
Dumah 11523 Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 * Sorry for bother you again but: The game load fine using openjk but the jampconfig file from the base folder doesnt work, suddenly I only have the default settings deleting (or ignoring) all my custom-settings from the cfg file. Is this normal? And how can I return to my custom settings from jampcconfig while I using openjk?
Raz0r Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Yes, the default config is now openjk(_sp).cfg. You can still /exec jampconfig.cfg to load your previous settings, but there are some differences in the default values for OpenJK (e.g. higher quality graphics/sound)
