JediCyborg Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 The title says it all. The game will obviously be better with mods. But I dont know which are update, which are broken. And so on. So lazy as I am, I decided to resort to communication and ask someone. What are you current list of must-have-mods for Single Player and Multi Player?
dg1995 Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 Before installing any mod make sure that Jedi Academy is updated to 1.01. (You can find patch 1.01 easily) I think the biggest one currently is a Multiplayer mod called Movie Battles 2. For Singleplayer mods, I don't know which ones are great. Noodle Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 As said before, you really need to get Movie Battles 2 for some sweet multiplayer experience and a lot of shitposting. Besides that, I'd advise you to just dwell in the files section and start looking for stuff that's interesting for you. There's just too many mods to list them all as 'must have'. If you're interested in exploring new maps, I advise you to look for those made by JCulley3D, AngelModder and Szico VII, they were amongst the best around. General Howard likes this
The Punisher Posted January 6, 2018 Posted January 6, 2018 What are you current list of must-have-mods for Single Player and Multi Player? That is too subjective, it depends greatly on one preferences. I suggest you go through the Cosmetic, Weapons, sabers, skins and player model areas in the File Section and see all the great stuff there and decide which one applies to your personal preference. Here are some of the mods I always install: https://jkhub.org/files/file/1829-camsp/ https://jkhub.org/files/file/1901-evulants-saber-gfx/https://jkhub.org/files/file/1306-fully-transparent-console/https://jkhub.org/files/file/2758-krildor-sky/https://jkhub.org/files/file/1593-lightsaber-better-caps/https://jkhub.org/files/file/3076-tfa-live-bladeseffects/https://jkhub.org/files/file/1304-the-jedi-academy-texture-overhaul/https://jkhub.org/files/file/979-the-force-unleashed-ultimate-sith-edition-lightsaber-blades/ (although I replaced the "black blade" back with a regular orange blade) https://jkhub.org/files/file/2391-random-protocol-droids/https://jkhub.org/files/file/2390-randomastromechs/https://jkhub.org/files/file/2379-tatooine-sky/ Hope it helps. Grumpy Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 I've noticed I always go for OJP: Enhanced (Open Jedi Project) first when I install this game. I really enjoy its combat system.https://jkhub.org/files/file/3183-openjediproject-source-code-2013/ Then I just add some models for immersion. Now that I think about it, I only add cannon models (Darth Vader, Clones, prequel Jedis, etc.)
Circa Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 Don't be lazy. Finding new mods is the funnest part about JK2 and JKA, in my opinion. Go look through our files section and find stuff that you think would be cool to try out. PK3s are easy to install and uninstall, so its about as easy as it can get. If you limit yourself to what others use, then you're missing out on the fun part of JKA. General Howard likes this
HanSoloCup Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 I played Movie Battles 2 for a while but I never could quite get the hang of blocking accurately and while I was okay at it for a while, for some reason I started losing block points too fast so I was pretty much screwed after only a couple of hits. I haven't taken any other mods online yet but I'm liking the Serenity Jedi Engine mod so far. General Howard likes this
