  1. Still working on his textures, but made some work on his clone wars and darkside outfit:
  2. Just a small update. Was using dDo to help make some textures for the Jedi robes (normal maps on left and without on right): Still need to do a few things, I'll bake the normal maps into the diffuse as well, just didn't have much time this evening to do it.
  3. I appreciate the constructive feedback guys, this project is a learning process for me, so anything helps. Was looking at one just now, my house mate pointed out the same thing earlier today funnily enough. I'll tackle it over the weekend. I'll post some comparisons tomorrow Thanks again for any feedback guys.
  4. Finishing up his mercenary outfit:
  5. I know where you coming from, arms are bugging me too. Think I'm going to sculpt them first then retoplogise this time, rather than working up from a low poly base mesh. Thanks for the feedback, I'll see what I can get done this evening. Probably after I'm done with tweaking some of the model I'll quickly him in game, although rend2 supports these maps, it will depend alot on the game's lighting.
  6. Update: Started working on his mercenary/jumpsuit outfit. Next thing will be that shoulder/chest plate he wears: Yeah he has normal maps and specular maps, I'm interested to see how they will look in OpenJK's rend2 renderer. I'm aiming to get it done by the end of the month, though could change depending on how much work I get.
  7. I prefer yours to be honest. Maybe just tweak the textures a bit to draw more attention to his defining features (large nose and small eyes). I feel like the TFU's version is a little too round and soft and doesn't really accentuate his pointed/squarer features. Judging by this screenshot anyway. I know it's a cartoon but the clone wars, and the comics, did a good job of caricaturing Liam Neeson's face. Anyway I'm looking forward to seeing your finished model
  8. Started working on his Jedi robes/outfit, a few things are still place holder and need some work. Mainly the hands. Btw thanks for this tip, was really helpful for creating my diffuse.
  9. Thanks guys, I'll definitely look at doing a single player version. Cheers dude, yeah I'll definitely try baking it in. Going to sculpt the head a bit more in zBrush then I'll bake it in. Sitting at 2952 tris and 1655 verts, so still room for optimisation. I'll check out the OpenJK renderer, didn't know about it, thanks.
  10. 31/3/2015: Update: Made some changes to the order 66 mesh and textures: Also had a go at his Padawan hairstyle: I'm going to wrap this project up now and start weighing it. Thanks you to everyone for their feedback so far, been really helpful! 1/3/2015: Hey guys got caught up with alot of other work for university, so apologies for the slow process. Started working on his order 66 skin, not quite there but I think its coming along okay: i had a different mesh that had been burnt away, but somehow I messed up the normals on it, so I'll have to re-evaluate that one. 29/1/2015: Small update: Jedi Robes: 27/1/2015: Still working on his textures, but made some work on his clone wars and darkside outfit: 20/1/2015: Just a small update. Was using dDo to help make some textures for the Jedi robes (normal maps on left and without on right): Still need to do a few things, I'll bake the normal maps into the diffuse as well, just didn't have much time this evening to do it. 14/1/2015: Finishing up his mercenary outfit: 9/1/2015: Started working on his mercenary/jumpsuit outfit. Next thing will be that shoulder/chest plate he wears: 3/1/2015: Started working on his Jedi robes/outfit, a few things are still place holder and need some work. Mainly the hands. 26/12/2014: Started working on a new model for Quinlan Vos since I got some free time over christmas. Still very much a Work in progress, right now. I'll be doing two versions one for Jedi Academy obviously, and another one my personal work - which will simply have the addition of more shaders, like normal maps and reflective maps etc. I'll be keeping to the Jan Duursema version of him, but with more realistic textures rather than comic booky. I'm aiming to do various different versions: - Standard Jedi Robes - Clone Wars Undercover Outfit, sleeved and unsleeved - Padawan Version - Siege of Saleucami Outfit - Order 66 - Older Voss But we'll see what I get done. So far I've modelled his head: JKA Version: Personal: Next stage, going to be working on his Jedi Robes and then cleaning up his face textures.

  12. Ah ok thanks that would make sense - I overlooked that part, tags are just under hips at the moment derp. But what would I do for multiple variations of a body part? So say I have two hips, obviously the first one would be the parent of the hierarchy I'm guessing, but where do I put the tags if there is only one set of tags and two hip models?
  13. Hey guys just a quick question, and curious if anyone knows the answer to this. So I've finished up rigging a model and putting it in game, works perfectly and so forth, except for one issue. Whenever the model is killed with a saber and is meant to dismember it duplicates/splits in two rather than have the limb get severed - so I end up with two corpses rather than a dismembered one. Not too sure what is causing this issue, but would be nice to know if anyone has encountered it - thanks in advance.

    Sora Bulq

    599 downloads

Reskin of the Movie Battle II's Weequay Jedi Skin/mode (unsure of which), this skin represents the Dark Jedi Master, Sora Bulq. Skin comes with bot support, team skins and new sounds. Here's the low down on Sora Bulq: Bulq was among the 200 Jedi that accompanied Windu to Geonosis, as were many of his current and former students. Although many Jedi, including his own Padawan, Galdos Stouff, were killed during the initial skirmish in the Geonosian execution arena, Bulq was among those who survived to take part in the first major conflict of the Clone Wars. After the battle was over, Bulq was listed amongst the dead, it being believed that he had died in the same explosion that claimed the life of fellow Jedi Eeth Koth. Bulq, however, was not dead, merely disillusioned with the role of the Jedi. He proceeded to abandon the Jedi Order. Shortly after the Battle of Geonosis, Bulq and Master Tholme faced Count Dooku on Bakura, but Bulq, already close to the dark side through his use of Vaapad, was seduced by the charismatic Count. On Ruul, Sora Bulq called a meeting of the Jedi dissidents refusing to fight in the so-called Clone Wars. Secretly, he hired the dark assassin Asajj Ventress to kill the Jedi, but Mace Windu was able to uncover Bulq's treachery and drove the assassin away. During the Clone Wars, Bulq served as Count Dooku's right-hand-man. Quinlan Vos was led to believe Sora Bulq was the second Sith Lord, after apparently joining forces with Darth Tyranus Credits: Hapslash, Aaron Smith. I would like to thank my good friend, Charlie, for supplying the sounds, who now has a sore throat.

Reskin of Major Clod's Wookiee model. Aimed to look more like a Jedi Knight. The skin comes with new shaders, sounds, team skins and bot support. A reskin of the Episode obi-wan lightsaber is included, textured to look like it's made of wood. Secondly is a reskin of a remoddeled Desann model by Dementia, skinned to look like a Trandoshan. Also comes with Broken Hope's consul replacement saber. Team Skins, new sounds and shaders are included. Originally attended for Tonbacca and Stilari. Credits: Major Clod, Revan, Dementia, Broken Hope. Thank you Buffy for Screenshots and Selek for a couple of Trandoshan Sounds.

Well what a fun month it has been! Finnally I get to release my pride and joy, I am really proud of this skin. Well the first is of Course Jedi Master Quinlan Vos, one of the most popular expanded universe characters. It is a reskin of Aaron Smith's Quinlan VOs model, but no texture has been left untouch, it comes with shaders, bot support, icons, team colours the whole jazz! The sounds have been rearranged to match this Jedi's personality. It's even fully rigged to be used in single player! Secondly we have the Sexy Twi'lek Jedi Aayla Secura, a reskin of The default Jedi Academy Twi'lek, but I ensure you this looks nothing like this stiff models from the game. Everything has been retextured, I 'borrowed' the textures of Neomarz's aayla and applied them to the clothing. I won't ruin the suprise for you just type /model aayla, and away you go!. Bot Support, New Sounds and New Icons are included. Bugs: If you have the pk3 named 'glm.Aayla' in your base remove it or, it will conflict with this skin! Theres a minor aplha blend error on the top of Quinlan robe's flaps. Credits: Aaron Smith, NeoMarz. Thanks to everyone on Rpg World, the Void and Rpg Zone who have supported me throughout this project. And special thanks to Cassanova and Selek, for helping me fix the customisation error/shader error . And thank you to Buffy for getting me some screenies.

Alot of projects have been going around 'The Void' mainly to do with a project called Skywalker to Windu, by a certain member. Unfortuently a member gave up on this project, I decided to give it a go myself (I being Scerendo). A friend of mine by the name Selek was also working on the same project so we teamed up and worked on it together. Everything in this skin has been pair work so far. Now this was origannly going to be Mace Windu, however Hapslash's anakin model just doesn't suit the bone sctructure of Mace Windu, rather than abandonning the project I decided it would be better suited as a Haruun Kal Jedi (the race of which Mace Windu itself is). The skin comes with bot support, team colours, new shaders, sounds and Single Player support. Team colours both include, robed, un-robed and hooded variations. Credits: Hapslash.

This is once again a reskin of Hapslash's Anakin model, this is for my grey jedi, Zander Cohort. He's a roleplaying character and I'll leave you to decide upon his history. This is a public release so anyone can use the skin. I based this skin of the General_Kenobi skin, I was fond of the armour under robes and so forth. Can't find Icons? /model cohort Teamskins and new sounds are included. Credits: Hapslah, Dark_Cuillere (texture lay-out for boots)

This is a Roleplaying skin attended for a friend on RpgWorld. It was based off a robe that appeared in a mod for Oblivion. I have completely retexured the Ep3_Kenobi model, from head to toe. I give credit to Brejo Savet for his boot texture and Tobe for the silver lacing, on the tunic's hips. Credits: Hapslash, Brejo Savet, Tobe. Kudos to Janet Flare, for pointing out the problems with the sounds. And thanks to Buffy on the Void for getting me, a few screenshots.

Want the Low Down eh? Well I always hated Ravensoft's Original Swamptrooper, as I'm sure many of you do. Theres been some good reskins of the Swamptrooper in the past such as the Rovas Galen skin by Slaughter. But my aim with this skin was to make it look like - what the model was originally intended for, to be a Swamptrooper, an armoured unit at home within Yavin's Murky bogs. So thats what I set out to achieve. The skin is your basic armoured unit dressed in High Specular shaders, throbbing glowing eyes, a soundset created by crazy old Jace complete with animated icons created by my good friend Selek, the usual Sci-Fi stuff. And here is your Skin List: /model st_swamptrooper /model st_swamptrooper/default_camo /model st_swamptrooper/blue /model st_swamptrooper/red Theres a Replacement skin for JKA. I apologise that I did not make a Jedi Outcast version I want to get this project done, but fret not I'll make it up to you Outcast Players with my next release. For now Enjoy. Best played in dynamicglow. Credits: Jace (Sounds), Selek (Icons). Special Thanks to Buffy for getting me screens.

Recently there has been many experimentations of Shadow Trooper reskins on 'The Void'. This is another variation I did. I based it off an unfinished project by Sharad Hett. I made most of my textures from the exception of the metal plating on the torso and behind the thighs, this is from Neomarz1's Magnaguard, I used this to improve the skin in general since I couldn't find anything else that would fit. I would like to thank my friend Selek, for letting me use the shader on his skin for my icons, and getting some sound files - cheers for that Sel. As a little bonus this skin will work in Jedi Outcast as well, simply extract the pk3s in the JO_File folder to your Jedi Outcast game data base. There Singleplayer replacements in the folders which need to be extracted with the other pk3 in the folder, in order for it to work. I would recommend if you have a computer which supports dynamicglow and high textures, with minimal lag that you play with those settings to experience the full potential of the skin. Other than that enjoy. Skin commands - /model st_shadowtrooper st_shadowtrooper/blue st_shadowtrooper/red st_shadowtrooper/green st_shadowtrooper/default_glow /model JOst_shadowtrooper JOst_shadowtrooper/blue JOst_shadowtrooper/red JOst_shadowtrooper/green JOst_shadowtrooper/default_glow Bugs: Comments: Best played in dynamicglow. Special Thanks to Buffy for getting me screens. * How to install * Just extract the .pk3 into the GameData/base in your game directory, and it is selectable among the usual Multiplayer MODS.
