  1. Ya that's me. Is there a server somewhere with my map on it in jk3? If so maybe I'll come play.
  2. It's easier steam or origin that causes my mouse to go crazy since it occurred again. Pretty sure its one of those two. It was razor mouse drivers, xfire, or trend micro antivirus. " Have you tried the latest 1.6 release, which by the way also includes a 64 bit build of Q3Map2?" Ya I tried it. I had some degree of luck getting the q3map2 to compile when I linked it to GUI. It only used 512 of ram though and didn't seem any better than the 2.5.16 that you can add on to 1.4 or the 2.5.17 q3map2 that comes integrated into gtkradiatn 1.5. However, as far as using gtkradiatn 1.6 software itself it wasn't seeming to work for me. I could get pas the initial screen. Basically none of them work well in windows 8 as far as I can tell.
  3. I recommend my map of course since it is relatively unknown. hehe http://jkhub.org/files/file/1422-expedition/
  4. I'm looking at my task manager: Also its using only 580 megabytes of ram...with close to 100% CPU usage and I am using szico's compiler that is supposed to be using 4 gigs at least....
  5. Something I install on windows 8 makes my mouse in gtkradiant go nutz. When i click the 3d grid, it locks onto the cieling and spins in a circle. My guesses are: xfire, razor mouse drivers, steam, origin, my anti virus program. Also there doesn't seem to be any good uninstall features in windows 8... Basically all I can think to do is reformat the computer and get it back it stratch when it was working. slowly add software until i find something that Ef's it up, then reformat or uninstall if that works and start over again.
  6. Old version of GUI http://map-forge.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=50 Installed it and found "lowmem" on it again which according to map-forge has been fixe I found the correct DL link http://sots-dev.3d-get.de/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=18&sid=0dc531153cd6e489b2964a216de953fe version 2032
  7. trying q3map2 tools... Path to jk2mp.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\LucasArts\Star Wars JK II Jedi Outcast\GameData\jk2mp.exe Path to q3map2 C:\Program Files\GtkRadiant-1.4\q3map2.exe ...seems to be working but. The clickables in the BSP part are not highlightable. The ones in -vis and -light are. I would like to turn on -nonjunc, but no option to do so. any ideas? When I actually try to build with this is says "Run-Time error '75: Path/file access error ??
  8. cool how old are these maps? I will try them soon once computer works again
  9. Yep slows things waaaay down. However, if your map is just barely on the tipping point of needing lomem, I've found that lomem speeds things up a lot. Then you add a little bit more and boom it goes the other way.
  10. Are you talking about the one from splash damage forums i posted? You tested it? (http://forums.warchest.com/showthread.php/36287-Q3Map2-Test-Build-) <-this one I will get a new computer next month
  11. So why don't we also host the x64 one? Anyone tried it? I'm getting new computer next month. also-Obsidian notes that the x64 I posted is essentially a beta version of GtkRadiant 1.6.4
  12. So if you have a 64 bit operating and 32 gigs of ram. which compiler should I use. Moe ram or the 64 bit operating system? Motherboard Asus® P9X79 Pro Processor Intel® Core™ i7 3930K 3.2Ghz Memory 1866MHz 4x8GB (32GB) Hard Drive Crucial® M500 SSD 960GB 64-Bit Operating System Microsoft® Windows 8 Standard
  13. http://forums.warchest.com/showthread.php/36287-Q3Map2-Test-Build-(x64) splash damage q3map2 forum is talking about this as well.
  14. also splash damage forums (castle wolfenstein) is talking about this issue http://forums.warchest.com/showthread.php/36287-Q3Map2-Test-Build-(x64)
  15. Well the link in post #2 http://jkhub.org/files/file/1335-q3map2-2gb-memory-usage -says " Q3map2 (>2GB Memory Usage) 2.5.16" Ydnar's official q3map2 program updated to use >2GB Ram during compiles to avoid safe_malloc error. No other changes, Requires a 64-bit OS.
  16. Do you all use windows? Would it be hard to do this on linux? I've been wanting to try it lately. especially in light of recent new from GG at the Guardian.
  17. You don't install it - just point your frontend like q3map2toolz or q3map2gui to the folder where you extract it to. I've never used those bit I recall installing it in past by changing pathways. Something like q3ma2/q3map2 substituted for q3map2
  18. I feel like that program is not utilizing all the ram or cache memory 64 bits or whatever that new computers have available but I really don't know. Anyone using anything else?
  19. No takes too long to submit and glitchy website...
  20. Used windows media player. I really need to get some sort of better software than xfire to record the demos, and a better editor than windows movie maker though.
