The code you gave me didn't do what it did last time (doesn't load normal textures, just showed the model normals), but have a look at the MD3 (left) & GLM (right) comparsion: The MD3 version (left) is how it should look. As you can see on the GLM, some things do not match and are inverted. The shader & textures are the same, and the MD3 is loaded as a static. Examples are the back of the helmet, small pockets on the bag & the ass. Flipping the normals helps some areas, but inverts others so it's of no use. Something is going on with the ghoul2 normals...

Star Wars Episode VII Discussion

The poster was an exclusive D23 one, not the official poster. Most likely because they are keeping the official poster for when they release a few more details like Luke & Leia seeing as they are missing from the D23 poster. -
Perhaps if the camera moves with the head on the player model, it might make it better?

Blue saber, and it's Anakin's. Somehow, Finn gets it.
-
Sure, what's the code to show everything as normals? That thing you told me to do when debugging black tri's.

Star Wars Episode VII Discussion

He's got Anakin's lightsaber. I wonder how that comes about. I'm still thinking he's Lando's son, would be lols for Han if Leia was his Finn's mother. -
Could add a cvar for low/high, for people's preference. I'll then add it to my rend2 menu. Any updates on that weird normal issue with ghoul2 models? Look at that "showing everything as normals" thing you had me do, then have a look at the player models. Instead of having smooth normals all over, there are some areas that have borked normals. This is randomised like the black triangles were.

Not quite. Raven had a fpls skin file for Kyle in JO, there was no actual first person lightsaber model (md3). They most likely didn't use it for JKA because it was crappy when it came to attacks that weren't in front of the player like backstabbing. Pretty sure they didn't dump the code entirely, I remember seeing mention of fpls.

Lol mark isn't that fat anymore. Need an in between. Try shifting some verts around.

Let's work on Rey (TFA/JKA)

Needs a new model IMO. -
How's this: Circle detail is a floater. Used Quad Chamfer on the armor base, few clicks and edges preserved.

JKA modding question: Using Autodesk Maya to edit models?
Tempust85 replied to battle111's topic in Modding Assistance
Try mine http://jkhub.org/files/file/1862-maya-2014-jedi-academy-skeleton-tags/ -
None. Play Soldier of Fortune II, it's much cooler.
-
I reckon @@Psyk0Sith should make this.

It's already added. Check the team skins.

Updated my avatar. Looks very similar to old Ben's robe, just different colors. -
Oh nice! Looks very similar to old Ben's robes, only without the brown & KKK hood.
-
Yes but do they need fatter bevels or are they too fat now?

I'm sure there is a reason that his saber is cobbled together rather than made decently. Maybe Kylo was trying to get Anakin's saber and failed, so he had to make his own and could only use non-standard parts? As to why it's a crossguard and not just a standard one, could be some symbol thing for the Knights of Ren. -
The saber is not some ancient weapon or artifact: http://www.starwars7news.com/2015/08/entertainment-weekly-new-photos-for-star-wars-the-force-awakens.html

Could you elaborate on the push modifier? I'm not following you. Over the top bevels? Explain. The details were carved when the low poly base was subdivided twice.

JKA modding question: Using Autodesk Maya to edit models?
Tempust85 replied to battle111's topic in Modding Assistance
I have a maya JKA skeleton for download on here but I'm on my phone so I can't link it. The skeleton is experimental as I'm a noob with maya. -
Doesn't work like that. First person guns use different models than what you see in third person. The only thing you can do is bring over the JO first person saber view.

JKA modding question: Using Autodesk Maya to edit models?

In theory, you can use noesis to convert the md3 or GLM to fbx for maya. I've never tested exporting a model to fbx with maya though as it's not my software of choice. I'd like to work with you on this to see if it can be done. -
