Firstly; When we're talking about filming StarWars or any other fictional story, it's imporant to remember that most of the cast will not look like themselves in their roles. Del Toro would make a great imperial admiral, he kinda looks like boba fett too, he could be a mentor of the Ren, or a tank like chewie. He could be playing an alien too, hell, he could even be Kanjiklub, because nobody has confirmed Del Toro to be anything more than a villain. Kanjiklub's men were after Han in the first part of this trilogy, so who knows if the same group is still after Han or his friends; Rey & Fin. Even if it sounds unlikely, they could appear in the next film just to amuse us, again.


Oh sweet Laura. I remember her from JurassicPark. She has a kind face, almost royal like Princess Diana. Maybe Rey will have flashbacks of her mother, who knows. But with the Disney logo floating above this franchise, it would be wise to concider her playing the first female imperial admiral in StarWars. I'd imagine a lot of people expecting her to be a kind lady in this film but what is she'll be the exact opposite? As for Kelly Marie Tran, I have no f** idea...

Too much lens flare, I read before viewing the images and I gotta say I was expecting a lot more.
I understand the bright lights, but the skybox clearly has dark clouds, so why the lens flare??

with 90-150 fps even with 32 players jumping around, oh boy...  I would kill for "open world" maps in JKA  <3 :D

and Biggs was older than Luke so this would really add up. Heck he could even reffer to a young talent at Tatooine, that would be nice.

So the guestion is, who might live there? I doubt they'll go there just to shoot indoors. Someone important must live there, good or evil.

Some people suggest, Star Wars VIII will be filmed in Croatia. So we might have another green planet in the Galaxy. Or probably a location with a decent old town, occupied by the First Order. I would like to see a normal town with dozens of citizens, walking around.

Well now that you said it;  this first episode of the ending trilogy showed shipwrecks at Jakku, Resistance against the Order and planets blown apart.In the original trilogy they never stopped to really deal with the destruction of Alderaan, maybe this time they will, episode 8 could bring back the diplomacy scenes from episodes 1-3  im not saying they will but I wouldn't mind seeing Leia Organa giving a speech to politicians at Coruscant, a call out to everyone "fight back".  Something like this would make a perfect reason to expand the story into bigger cities around the galaxy.

I'm looking at images of Croatia, and I don't know what to make of it.  Some places do speak STARWARS to me. Dubrovnik reminds me of Naboo. If episode 8 includes scenes shot at Croatia there are many good locations there, beautiful nature aswel.The heroes of the film, Rey, Finn or Poe could go to this green planet possibly to meet someone influencial, to recruit more resistance fighters. I can already imagine the streets of Kings Landing filled with more StarWars related stuff, aliens and oddballs as Finn walks down a street to meet 'person x' ... imagine the falcon landing there O_O  omg

Hello, could the staff members approving files, take atleast 1 preview image of the skin/map/vehicle/model/mod that's being approved?
I've ran into many files here that have no preview images, and just now I was looking for a CTF map for a clan event, and I see this list of maps
by the same author who has ton of CTF maps without any screenshots.  It makes my life so damn difficult.  requesting preview images

Benicio Del Toro is almost a perfect villain. With his age, I'd guess him to be an imperial general, commanding Phasma and the First Order. I think that the next StarWars film has Phasma running after Finn, as he humiliated her by turning against the Order, and taking her as a hostage momentarily. Finn became a deflector, like in the old spy movies, so I'd figure he's a wanted man by the Order. It seems like Rey is to become the first female hero of the saga, and Luke might meet almost the exact same fate as Obi-Wan did, because as we know, there's a specific way how these films progress, a blueprint so to speak. The prequels are much like the Sequels, and episode 7 was a lot like episode 1 and 4 all over again.

I'd love to see Disney break this ladder of progress by maybe killing Rey so that Luke will save the day, duelling Snoke and bringing an end to the Order. Hah, I know, that's never gonna happen, but I'd hate to go see episode 8 while expecting Luke to die, as if that's supposed to happen. I hope that they'll keep him alive atleast untill the last episode of the saga, because he's the hero of this opera, Anakin was the chosen one sure, but he was bad, Vader was bad. Luke Skywalker saved the day

Both 8 and 9 might repeat the same formula as as 5 and 6 but differently.Or go an entirely different route that remains to be seen.

Yeah just like episodes 1,2,3 followed the blueprint of episodes 4,5 and 6.  Episode seven was pretty much like 1 and 4 with a young stronghearted person being drawn into a battle between good and evil, slowly understanding the Force and accepting his/her fate at the end, We've seen Anakin and his son Luke take up this path and now it's Rey's turn. (obviously) but yeah is she Luke's daughter or not? The way I see it, there are atleast these options;

• Rey is the daughter of Luke Skywalker, and Luke will die in episode 8 so that a new Skywalker can bring peace to the Galaxy in episode 9.

  Who knows Rey gets more attached with her aunt Leia and together they'll unlock the mysteries of the Force so that Rey can confront Ben.

   

• Rey's heritage is irrelevant. She's simply a youngling who survived the bloodbath at Luke's Academy.

Luke's role in this trilogy is a mystery still. I think it's important to first remember that Mark Hamill wen't trough hell and high water to shape up for the role. Anyone who has seen episode seven probably thought that there's no way he got in shape just that scene. I'm not expecting him to do stunts like in the ROTJ, but it feels logical that he has some scenes ahead of him that require a more fit body.  Maybe we'll see a new version of Obi vs Ani / Sidious vs Yoda ? Luke being Yoda, Snoke being Sidious. Rey being Obi-Wan going against Anakin (Ben). 

Also.. why did Luke escape and hide himself after the Academy was taken? Did he loose someone, like the mother of his daughter as a certain theory suggests? Also, did Luke perhaps duel Snoke and leave him weak, assuming Snoke died? or did Snoke get his wounds by Palpatine (meaning that Snoke would be Plaqueis) The thing that I don't get is HOW does Leia and Han know about Snoke, were they all at the Academy that one faithful day?

Oh well we might aswel start early, after all the topic for episode seven discussion was started year before the premiere, (or more?).
I'm personally very interested in the origins of Rey, and the speculations started floating around the internet right after the premiere. I like the rumour about her being the daughter of Luke, which kinda makes sense, but even so it doesn't have to be true. But, what intriques me the most is the vision Rey had when she touched the saber of Anakin (later passed onto Luke) it hints that Rey was at the Academy when Kylo turned against Luke. Also, Kylo seemed to almost remember her, he said, if I remember correctly " oh, it's you"

I know there was Yoda's voice and Obi-Wan's voice (alec guinness) in there too as if it was just a Force reaching out to her but I think there's also hints with deeper meaning hidden in the vision, like HOW can she see Kylo standing in the rain with a 'gang' of darksiders/ bad boys/ knights of ren. Speaking of The Knight of Ren; did they seek out Ben Solo or did he seek out them? Are they all knights of Kylo or is he simple a master to them? Did Snoke persuade him to join the Darkside, or did Ben read/learn about him? These are all interesting guestions, but I guess we'll have to wait for more official stuff from Disney.
