  1. Meh in 3DS Max this is so damn easy to do, just a few clicks and you're done. Just need to get my exporter working properly That's why i love being able to build entire maps in 3DS, i have so much more control over the brushes!
  2. Yes... A god....
  3. I like RP'ing in games but it's so hard to find people to RP with or that even take it moderately seriously *sigh* My dream would be to RP, maybe make Mashinima's, etc. i'm a 3D model artist and i map a little bit too so props and locations wouldn't be much of a problem. But, as i said, a pipe dream lol.
  4. Not against people porting, i just prefer not to do it as it's kinda lazy. Why port it when it's a lot more fun, unique and "educational" to re-create it yourself? Heck i don't even use prefabs or textures from games that i have or want to mod. I make stuff for my own, or other peoples purposes using my own time and experience. I always make my own content because it keeps things more original and i gain experience and a good portfolio in the process and it's a LOT more fun and satisfying knowing that you made it yourself When it comes to things like that, the hard work is rewarding enough for me.
  5. This is one of the reasons that i wish things like this were downloadable on servers because people can't see the awesomeness if they just see Kyle lol.
  6. Ah okay, not seen that one xD
  7. Definitely one of the best, if not THE best JKA models/skins i've ever seen!
  8. I did notice this last night and it is actually exporting in Half Life format... { "classname" "worldspawn" "mapversion" "220" "wad" "\sierra\half-life\valve\halflife.wad" I don't know how to change it to use JKA but i know it can export for Quake, i'll try looking in the settings again...
  9. Would have done it myself but meh lol.
  10. Never said anything about movie quality xD
  11. I've always wanted to do something like this on other games but it was hard to find the people. I can do a bit of voice acting myself but not professionally of course xD I do have a lot of spare time on my hands so i'm free most times or either mapping/modeling something, so i'd love to help out Message me if you're interested! I'm also pretty good at coming up with ideas and brainstorming (i used to do a lot of writing when i was younger) so no problems if you want input along the way.
  12. What engine are you going to use it on? Looks kinda boxy but i guess that's okay for a low poly thing
  13. I hate people like this they thrive on thinking that they're so cunning and smart, attacking servers and websites because they think it makes them, as stated, "leet." People like this need to be made an example of and put in their place. They're like bullies that keep going on and on to see how far they can push you, all the time laughing at the fact that they may be getting on your nerves. I do agree that this is very amateur hacking, if you can even class it as that, done by somebody who picked up a cheap tool yet lacks the skill to be any real threat. If anything they're the ones to be mocked and laughed at for their incompetent stupidity.
  14. I already did that yesterday but it still doesn't solve the problem of nothing being imported.
  15. Never played the original really but it's an interesting idea
  16. As am i, kinda makes it unfair and can suddenly tip the balance in their favor if they don't like constantly losing.
  17. To be honest i can probably help with this too, i've been doing a few tests today so just trying to get it right but maybe somebody else is good at it? *waits for silent, yet slightly self aware, stranger to step out of the shadows.
  18. Well just as the title suggests i can't import a .map into the program and for some reason the directory points to my D drive yet JKA is installed on my C drive. Any idea what's going on as i can't seem to figure it out, all of my brushes are convex, heck it's a mere simple room without even a doorway in it? Granted i did make the map outside of the program but it is well known for being able to export .map files so i don't see the problem, maybe i need to save .map files in a specific location or something i don't know. It's funny because when using the exact same plugin to export as .VMF (Hammer/Valve) it works like a charm but when i load .map into Radiant nothing comes up. I am a bit new to mapping for JKA so maybe i'm doing something wrong i dunno. Error log says this: C:/Program Files (x86)/LucasArts/Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy/GameData/base/maps/hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.map 0 primitive 0 entities
  19. That video reminds me of DOOM lol. Great progress so far!
  20. And i suppose that you can't just rig a thing like this having the base bone attach to the hand bone like you can with other engines?
  21. Probably no good to you but i followed this tutorial when installing GtkRadiant, maybe you're talking about something else though xD
  22. You read it
  23. See you on Skype xD
  24. Lol no i use 3DS to make levels out of brushes and such, exactly as you do in Hammer, i have this awesome plugin that allows me to build maps in 3DS as if you were building them in Hammer. The ability to model scenery on the map is just an added bonus xD Yes i have Steam and Skype, just message me and i'll tell you.
  25. @HunterHog no i meant that i can just make models, scenery, maps, etc. in 3DS without even having to bother with Hammer anymore lol. I can literally model the scenery into the map and export the entire thing to be played. Anyhoo that's a different story lol. Have you considered making your own snow texture?
