  1. Worked with the Unreal Engine on various projects so it's not that hard to do really but finding good coders can be a pain.
  2. Never been a fan of Minecraft lol
  3. Arms look a tad too long but i guess you have to stick to the JKA rigging system. Or maybe the legs are too short it looks in-proportionate...
  4. Sounds a lot like how you go about doing a similar thing on the Source Engine, it can be very tedious having to direct files and paths in the, as they call it, .QC file. Had many hours of fun with that, textures not showing because i didn't point something to the right folder xD
  5. I'm not a fan either but he's done a pretty good job as you said.
  6. I'm new to modding JKA myself but have years of experience with other games engines lol. I can't really help with this but i want to say that i really like the texture
  7. I'd have kept the visor separate because you can see where it joins at them two points on the helmet but maybe i'm wrong xD
  8. Damn that goes to show its age lol.
  9. Nice sig, i used to work on Goldeneye Source years ago xD
  10. I decided to go with Max 7 instead and it does support .GLM import and .MD3 export but i haven't tested the exporter yet as i am considering using XSI for all that stuff.
  11. Looks pretty nice!
  12. Just block them! lol
  13. Actually i only use skins that people on this forum seem to like a lot so i don't know what that says lol. In fact i've only ever used one skin.
  14. Don't you find that having to re-weight it can be tedious though?
  15. Do you know of a .GLM importer for XSI?
  16. I have a lot of experience in modeling and i've used XSI before just not a lot...
  17. I thought so but i couldn't find anything on it. Sadly newer software doesn't seem to accept the .GLM importer plugin, the one i have for 3DS only imports the model and that's no good. I'm afraid that if i use XSI it'll have issues with such an old thing lol.
  18. Yeh i know what it's like when people poke fun because of your modeling skills or lack of. When i was pretty new there was this mod team that always mocked me and made fun of me because i used to use box modeling. Didn't get to me it just made me want to better myself and wipe their smugness in their faces when i became better than them lol.
  19. *grabs rifle and peeks behind curtain for oncoming Norris fans*
  20. Friends keep trying to get me to use it but i just don't see the point when i could use the time modeling but i think the only problem i'd have is learning the whole UVW unwrapping thing again but modeling isn't so hard to pickup. Most modeling software is interchangeable when it comes to things like that, heck Blender even has a 3DS Max controls option for users to choose if they don't feel comfortable with the default.
  21. I've never been a fan of Blender, it's interface is too needlessly complex and i don't really want to learn another piece of software when i've been using others for 8 or so years xD
  22. So i guess most of you use XSI? I used that a few years ago, seemed pretty good. When i import a model into 3DS the textures don't come with it and the option to import weights is greyed out. So would you suggest using XSI?
  23. Well i can't do it in any 3DS Max higher than Max 5 and Max 5 wont even work on Windows 7. So which software would be best to use with JKA when it comes to modeling and will i have to get a specific plugin for the .GLM? ***EDIT*** Nevermind i found a plugin for 3DS Max 7
