  1. Funny you mention that, i'm currently re-making all of the JKA MP maps for the Source Engine xD This engine is kinda limited in a lot of respects, i don't think it has that sort of feature. Making terrain in Hammer itself can be annoying at times but i replaced Hammer with 3DS Max lonnng ago so i don't need to bother with it anymore. When it comes to snow i'd just tile it, i'll see if i have any decent textures from Hoth somewhere

I think these days lamers are better known as trolls and i have dealt with many of them on websites, chat, Youtube, etc. Inside i can feel the urge to put you in your place as i have many others but i prefer to block trolls these days because hindering and impairing their ability to retaliate is a much more effective weapon. Yes this forum does give one the ability to block another from any and all communication therefor i'm blocking you. I just find it kinda sad that this is such a nice forum and 99% of the time newcomers have nice things to say but the only thing you do is come here and openly admit that you're a troll instead of being nice. Perhaps i'll model you a bridge to live under, you can put it on a map and troll some bots or something, you'll get more attention from them Good day sir!
  6. So if i make models and such for others to use, i can host them here? I know places like HaloMaps allow you to host things like custom UI, maps, models, textures, etc. but i'm not sure about JKHub..

  8. I agree, it'd be a hard task to make it on this engine. I prefer to use Source for full remakes of such things
  9. Hmmm i wouldn't mind having a go at some of that stuff! The pauldrons wouldn't be too hard to do, shoulder antenna is pretty easy too, maybe some other things i only glanced over the list at the moment. I like the list it's pretty nice

  12. Couldn't you have just moved the block far up and then move it back in place when you're done making the map? I mean if you say it was working before you deleted that thing then maybe it's an option to just move it out of the way until you're done. I've not really mapped for this engine yet so i can't help too much.
  13. I wouldn't mind having a go at it in my spare time but, with lack of a dueling system, it'd be pointless.
  14. Hmmm i know you can make maps for Hammer in 3DS Max, but i'm not sure if you can import these brushes into 3DS Max and then export them to Hammer. Why not just re-make the map in Hammer to add your own personal touch? I remember remaking a few Goldeneye 64 maps and scenery/props in Hammer/3DS and i always found it rather fun
  15. So many people want to make a demo and go to Kickstarter, i was working on one team and the guy wanted to be at Kickstarter 4 months later. I kept trying to tell him that it was impossible (i was the only skilled model artist on the team) but he was just so convinced that we could do it. Even the best demo's don't take less than 4 months to make.
  16. Yep that's one thing i found out the hard way.. I guess a lot of people on there believe that they're too good to merely help others with their projects, same with concept artists. I never ask to be paid for helping people but then, sometimes, you're working with people that are intermediate model artists and you often have to guide them xD
  17. That's also true, getting artists to help from the UDK forum can be hard unless you have a "worthy" project.. It's not as easy as it is with Source and this.

  19. I never agree with lifting from games or stealing other peoples work, there's a certain pride knowing that you've worked hard to make something from scratch. It's also disrespectful to steal peoples work and claim it as your own, i should know, i've been a victim of it myself.
  20. I agree i mean on an engine like that why make the model so low poly?
  21. This kept happening to me as well, it's because under the shortcut properties it had -safemode on the end.. I deleted that and it fixed the problem.
  22. I can only find a converter for .SKP (Sketchup) but not .KML =-/
