  1. ***Nevermind worked it out, just makes things a pain with modular building lol*** So i've been doing a lot of testing putting models into the game and such but one thing i notice is that no matter where i put the pivot point in 3DS, it always ends up being in the exact same place in Radiant. Is this an error on my behalf or is it to make moving things around easier for the user or do i need to create a little box for the model to anchor to like you have to do with some other older engines? Also is there way to angle-snap in Radiant? I don't really need to use it but i'm just curious. Thanks!
  2. Man you really are obsessed with him aren't you? xD
  3. Yeh thanks i did that yesterday and it worked but i was told that adding the file extension was a bad idea but i suppose that's wrong since you have more experience
  4. I can't find a place to change the path in preferences though.
  5. As i said, it allows me to map everything in 3DS and then put it into Radiant, the other ones don't seem to like the exporter. Maybe it is configured incorrectly, my prefab path is blank in my preferences but i don't know if that's the issue.
  6. Okay so i've managed to get models into Radiant and such but in Radiant 1.4 it tells me that the shader is missing, in other versions there's no issue. Why would i want to use 1.4 you may ask? Because i use it to just throw out a rough map from 3DS Max and such. Anyway, has anybody else ever had the same problem with that particular version or am i just doing something wrong?
  7. Thanks i'll have to check some of them out
  8. Taught him how to model one very similar to this one last night xD
  9. I don't personally know of one =/
  10. I got the model into Radiant but it's like wireframe and no texture, i assigned a .tga texture to it, power of 2 dimensions, same folder as model but nothing..
  11. I usually compile them in Radiant... I'm just confused, how can you compile a map with a prop in it when the prop isn't even there because i need to compile the prop =/
  12. I've looked all over Google and the tutorials here but i can't find anything that shows you how to export a simple model from 3DS or whatever and import it into GTKRadiant. If somebody could help me i'd be extremely grateful! For now i just want to make a very simple object for testing purposes, export it and import it as a prop/scenery into a map. Thanks!
  13. I'm still trying to find a tutorial that shows you how to import a prop into Radiant, can't seem to find one on here or Google xD
  14. I'm not sure if you guys already know of this tutorial but i found it a few weeks ago so i thought i'd post it here just in case: http://virtue.thejediacademy.net/tutorials/hilts/saber_tutorial.html I haven't tried it myself yet but i intend to do that today, maybe somebody more experienced can glance over it and see if everything is as it should be.
  15. No worries i've been teaching him how to make hilts in 3DS Max, he's a pretty fast learner
  16. Fine i'll find my own tutorial then lol.
