Battlefront II laser trip mine

For those who don't know it yet, the trip mine from Jedi Outcast/Academy has been made for Battlefront II as well.

I thought that, because there have been some weapons redone (most notably the E-11 blaster rifle), this could be a potential new project.

If I'm not mistaken, I saw a better version of the trip mine on a video, done for a mod. Maybe that mod team can release it as a standalone item. Sharing is caring.

Jedi Knight Galaxies had one as I recall.

It really just looks like the old mine with higher quality textures and that circular pad on the bottom. Could be an easy thing to model.

 

If you played JK2 MP in the old days and were really into the 1.02 clan's modding community, you'd know that there were probably dozens of retexture mods for the mine - They loved the thing, and I know there were some textures that resembled what's on here.

 

Hell, it doesn't look too far off from the mine in Ultimate Weapons.

Just about every weapon in jkg has been slapped together, and have poor optimization. I wouldn't use any of them.
