BrudasekPL Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Hello. Can someone create a mod that will allow to edit colors for lightsabers via RGB(editing Red Green Blue values) for Jedi Academy just like in JA+? I'd love to use that option in Single Player...

BrudasekPL Posted December 16, 2014 Author Posted December 16, 2014 Excuse me for double-post but I have a problem. I've extracted pk3 files to base and this exe and dll file to gamedata folder. I launch game with openjk_customsp.x86 and when I try to edit lightsaber color via RGB I have always white color of blade, regardless of options. Can someone help me?
redsaurus Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 That's not meant to happen! How are you trying to change the lightsaber colour? Are there any error messages at all in the console?
BrudasekPL Posted December 16, 2014 Author Posted December 16, 2014 Nope, I start the new game, pick character chose RGB and when I try to edit values lightsaber color is always white, there aren't any error messages etc.
redsaurus Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 I'll have a proper look into it later, in game try doing /sabercolor1 x<hexcode> like /sabercolor1 xff0000 for red just to check that that bit is working.
BrudasekPL Posted December 16, 2014 Author Posted December 16, 2014 Error message appears "unknown command /sabercolor1"
redsaurus Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 sorry, it's actually going to be sabercolor 1 xff0000
BrudasekPL Posted December 16, 2014 Author Posted December 16, 2014 Another message "Cheats are not enabled on this server"
Ramikad Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Another message "Cheats are not enabled on this server" To resolve this type /devmapall <map name>, or if already in a map, /helpusobi 1, then the saber color command above. z3filus likes this
BrudasekPL Posted December 17, 2014 Author Posted December 17, 2014 OK it worked, I've got red lightsaber, but still I can't change lighstaber color via menu. Any help?
BrudasekPL Posted December 17, 2014 Author Posted December 17, 2014 Thanks ;D I'll be waiting then ^.^
redsaurus Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Can you see if putting this in base works?
BrudasekPL Posted December 18, 2014 Author Posted December 18, 2014 Still same effect, I change lightsaber's color via menu and nothing happens
redsaurus Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 What exactly are you doing? Just to check: you're selecting the RGB saber icon (the white one), then you are moving the sliders in the box around? If you have another UI mod that contains the ui/menus.txt file then the pop up will not work, the mod isn't compatible.
BrudasekPL Posted December 18, 2014 Author Posted December 18, 2014 Yeah, first I pick RGB icon but it doesn't work anyway. But wait, I've got some mods, maybe I'll try to remove all mods just to check if then it will work and then I'll let you know if it works EDIT: I've forgotten that I had old non-working RGB mod that I found on some website. Now, when I deleted it everything works like a charm, thanks a lot for all of you for your help! Śăļvõö likes this
BrudasekPL Posted December 19, 2014 Author Posted December 19, 2014 Sorry for double post, but I have another problem. It happened even in previous RGB saber mod I found, I thought it was the fault of that RGB mod but I was wrong. After I Complete any mission after making RGB saber, at the next mission there's error message saying "Couldn't turn the shader off" (I'm not sure, but it's something like that) and my lightsaber is default blue. Any help? ;D
redsaurus Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 What's the exact message? Do you still get the problem with a clean base folder? I think that my last release had a slight problem with saber colours when loading from saved games (fixed for next version), but there shouldn't be any problems just on map change.
BrudasekPL Posted December 19, 2014 Author Posted December 19, 2014 Allright, I've fixed it already. The problem was mod which gave lighting Outcast look. After erasing this file everything works fine. Thank you very much! If there will be any more problems I'll let know
