JAWSFreelao Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 I just need to attach a kilt to a clone trooper. Do I have to model it on? Or do I just add the textures and it'll pick it up? Please help..
minilogoguy18 Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Import the model, model it, texture it, weigh it then recompile.

Boothand Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 How does one convert it out of GLM format? It's a bit of a process, the whole procedure of getting a character into the game. You should find some tutorials for it here http://jkhub.org/tutorials/category/13-modelling/Minilogo has a very thorough tutorial on it if you're using Softimage Mod Tool. But to answer your question, you export it as .XSI and compile it into a proper .GLM with tools from the SDK. If you were asking what to do with the .GLM file from the assets, there is a .GLM importer in the Files section.
Asgarath83 Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 When yu make, export to XSI format and convert in GLM with carcass. Simply drag on carcass.exe the model file. simply pass root.XSI in c:/base/models/players/_humanoid/ (yu need to put here the carcass.exe the assimilate file and the model.carthe _humanoid.gla, animation and animevent.cfgstep 2: drag model.car into carcass.exe. that will start a batch process. carcass build the GLM by the XSI. after, yu can put the model on Modview and test a preview of the animation for see the rig issues
CaptainCrazy Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 It's funny because I was actually modeling a kilt type thing earlier for a character model xD JAWSFreelao and Barricade24 like this
JAWSFreelao Posted May 21, 2014 Author Posted May 21, 2014 Let me guess: A kilt that's split in half down the middle, similar to the ones in The Clone Wars TV show? Asgarath83 likes this

Tempust85 Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 I hear you can import a GLM into Blender, edit it, then export it back out as a GLM with minimal fuss.
