minilogoguy18 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 I was thinking it and now someone said it, how about adding another section to the modding area for coding?
eezstreet Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 There is a secret coding bunker to discuss exploits. With the advent of GPL released source code, half of the coding forum (the part devoted to low-security bugs and feature requests) is no longer relevant. However I think there's something to be said about a whole forum section dedicated to coding. Ideally we should be promoting all aspects of modding, not just coding or modeling or mapping or whatever. However, there is a rapid surge in popularity with coding, and I think even just a few threads would solve about 90% of the questions we get in IRC on a daily basis. There's also a need for high security, and we need to retain a secret high-security area for stuff like a JKHub API, critical exploits, discussion of license breaches within the community, etc.

This could include a cleanup of the secret coding section that involves archiving old threads, moving low security bugs to the potential public section, etc. MagSul likes this
eezstreet Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Yes. That could work. I hate to make you my slave again, but yes, I think it will be quite useful.
Raz0r Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Well, I'll consider merging JACoders into JKHub. The source release did indeed boost activity a bit. eezstreet likes this
Solution Szico VII Posted April 18, 2013 Solution Posted April 18, 2013 http://jkhub.org/forum/43-coding-and-scripts/ Please find what you sought. The other forum still exists as well (for the private coding stuff)
Mog Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 It's a good idea to have a separate section for general coding talk. It would benefit alot of people.
