one question for the knowledgeable - how do I make my own comic? I have a few ideas, and I understand that I mainly need to make screens, edit and arrange them, but how do I animate the characters properly for the screens? :(

I use Modview (available for download here on the Hub) to post the characters how I like them then use 'greenscreen' techniques to move them over the scene in Photoshop.as @@Cerez said. I keep meaning to make a full tutorial for it one day, but for now you can see a brief overview of the process in my Hub interview here: https://jkhub.org/topic/7215-interview-with-kualan/

By the way, I remember a long time ago, someone posted somewhere on the forums how you can add lightsabers\ guns to the character in Modview. Can you remind me? Also, is it possible to add the swoop bike\ Tauntaun to the character (as mount) in Modview?

Damn it, Modview doesn't want to open character, says

R_LoadMDXM: missing animation file

models/players/_humanoid/_humanoid for mesh model.glm

despite me extracting the whole assets1.pk3, and copying _humanoid.gla into the character's folder. What gives??!

_humanoid doesn't go in the characters folder. The file directory must match what is in the assets pk3

So it should go Base -> models -> players -> _humanoid

With all individual character folders in 'players' too.

As for adding sabers, guns, extract the 'weapons' folder into Base - > models as well, then in Modview open the tags list on the left hand side, right-click the r_hand tag and click 'Bolt to object' and then select one of the weapon models.

Mounts work the same way, except you load the mount first then right-click the driver tag, and 'bolt' a player model to it. Then just select the relevant animation to make it seem like the character is riding the mount.

But it was already in its appropriate folder, I just copied it to a character folder because I thought it would open them thus (it didn't, nor did it open it without copying :()

hmm, let me try extracting the assets to the base folder directly...

update: ok, so now there' no errors, but Modview freezes <_<

@the_raven, please create a new thread for this in the Modding Assistance forum (where it belongs) and invite @@Kualan by mentioning his name. Not to be rude, but it's getting annoying checking back every time when seeing a new post here, hoping that the next issue is out, only to find this support conversation furthered instead. Try to keep on topic in threads. (Not trying to be nasty, just asking for some order and clarity...) Thanks. ^_^

Are the models that you use here going to be released for the community? That hutt model is fantastic.

Some models aren't actually from/rigged for JKA. The various Hutt models come from a range of sources - Star Wars Galaxies, Kinect, the old Battlefront, KOTOR, etc. I just use the same green-screen methods to put them in the comic as I do any JKA model.

Photobucket has decided to mimic ransomware and disable all 3rd party hosting (such as forums) unless their users update to a $400 a year account so I've made the full jump to Imgur now. Pain in the ass though it was to do so, I'm glad Photobucket finally gave him a last excuse to leave behind their slow, bugged uploading system.

I've reuploaded the back catalogue for the first three volumes to Imgur and all issues can now be found at the following links:

First, your comics are awsome!I have started now from the begining and I'am addicted. The graphics are wonderful and the story is exciting. So keep that up!

A second Story line comic with the characters from the original trilogy would also be awsome! I know, creating a story is not esay, but if you start a new comic series, I would prefer that way.

I love this idea, but it is a lot more work on your end.

Yeah, it's something I'm just dancing with at the moment. If I did do it, it would be after the current volume is finished rather than on an issue-by-issue basis. We'll see!

any way I could download them as a single archive? or at least every volume as a single archive?

The link in the post before yours has the issues divided into folders and subfolders for volumes and issues respectively :)

There won't be such a long gap for the next issue compared to the last one, as production is already well under way. Here's a preview of both the cover and some new clonetroopers who will be featuring in it:
