...there's this site jkhub.com

When i go there, it's just a background of some port with a bunch of (i think) Asian-looking boats and the line "jkhub.com, all rights reserved".

Does anyone know anything about it? Does if display anything else for you?

That website simply isn't affiliated with us. :P Just a happy coincidence on the name. There's a .net, too.

I knew that, but still wanted to know if there's anything else on .com

We see what you see. The owners probably bought the domain but didn't have a use for it.

More like they bought it for the sole purpose of domain squatting and hoping they could resell it at a high value to you :P

I'm pretty sure it was taken long before we were a thing. Otherwise @@Caelum would have purchased that, instead of .org. :P

I'm pretty sure .com is for sites looking to make a profit of some kind, anyway. I think .org works better for this site, as it's a non-profit organisation of sorts.

That used to be the mindset, yes. Nowadays it really doesn't matter all that much. Generally .com is the one people go for first, since the general population will assume that to be the TLD. Especially older generations. You tell them to go to jkhub.org, but they'll probably try jkhub.com first just because they think that's how you get to websites. I've seen it countless times, working in IT support.

Didn't .com stand for community and .org for organization? If so, then what you're saying is the other way around :D

Aye, sometimes I go to .com instead of .org by reflex. It's so annoying when your browser saves the wrong link :(

.com was for commercial. .org was for organization. Droidy is correct on the original uses.
