About This File

Title: Monopoly Board Game
Author/Creator: Sonny147/Agent47

Purpose: Multiplayer

Programs:
GTK Radiant 1.6.5
Q3Map2
Adobe Photoshop CC

Description:
The map is based on Monopoly Board Game. It has fully functioning Property Cards, houses and jail.
In addition, there are Chance and Community Chest Cards as presented on screenshots.
The map does not contain a fully functioning system, including a scoreboard, which would be Credits, and the map cannot randomly generate a number of the dices or chance cards.
It was way beyond my skills, I am afraid. If someone is willing to make it, message me, and I can send a source file.

The Monopoly_Low.pk3 has low resolution textures,
whereas the high version has high-quality textures, but it will affect loading time.

Hope you will enjoy this.

Music:
The map uses a Monopoly Main Theme.

Installation:
Extract the ZIP file using WinRAR or 7Zip. The extracted files copy and paste in the
Jedi Knight Jedi Academy/Game Data/base folder. You can start the solo match, or use it on a server.

Name: Monopoly , monopoly.bsp

I haven't play this map, so I don't know how it works, if the dice are just shown on screen as a target_print or a few map object cubes. I have no idea.

However with the dice, I may have an idea for you. This might also help you with the chance cards and the like.

When the dice are told to roll, you can call a script with a number of if/else statements, leaving each dice to random chance, but ultimately a set value once you've gone through all possible dice values (I'm guessing you're doing 6-sided dice.)

Here's a screenshot of an example script I drew up that may give you an idea. Notice that if the first if statement fails, the else is called which contains another if/else, and so on and so forth.

Congratulation on making a great Monopoly map. I guess the game can be played with actual dice in your hand. Anyway, I hope you get help finishing your work and creating a fully functional game. It looks neat and easy to play so far. Something I would enjoy with my grandkids. I play chess on PC with my grandson almost for 1 hour every day. It would be nice to add another game to our arsenal. My very favorite computer game is solitaire, and I play it on https://online-solitaire.com/spider-solitaire.
