      I knew the names were of Germanic origin, but I had no idea the ancient Babylonians counted days and weeks as well! Fascinating!

      yes, Cerez, Ping is correct; countless aincient religions were worshipping the sun. The Calendar was used to predict weather, and eclipses of the moon, thus the priests and kings had a huge levearage over thousands of people, even. This is not different from Jesus and christianity, but I know that is a sensitive subject, even here.
