  1. I don't think the issue is even that it needs to be rotated. I'm trying to figure out how they did it in MBII. They had to have a first person model of it right? It has a HUD icon and everything so we know it is a playable weapon.

Try loading it up in MBII just to see if it works. Any mission where you're a Republic Command or Clone should work.

  2. The model looks like it's just oriented incorrectly, rotating it around should help. Pretty sure there are some gun tutorials out there to help with this, pehaps on Inyri's site.

I'll see if I can do it myself after dinner. I haven't done any real modeling so I'll have to figure out how to use XSI but it shouldn't be too hard.

  3. Is time to up the ante, let him do his homework. There's always time to cut down the polygon count and with Softimage it's easy and he doesn't even have to do more than collapsing edges, the UV and envelopes are kept intact.

He knows what he's doing, rest assured.

  4. I agree about the head being too narrow. Other than that it looks solid man. Again, I'm no modeler but it looks great. I've got the game if you need more reference shots, but I'm sure you probably have it.

  5. So I managed to get it working... dunno how, I used the same method as always but now it's working. Thanks for all your help. I did want to ask if anyone could explain another small issue... the music in the JAMP menu - even using the base music - always starts from the beginning again if I go to another menu and then go back to the main menu. For example, I load up the game and the music starts playing at the main menu. I click "Play" and then click "Back" to take me back to the main menu and the music starts again from the beginning. Any way to fix this? This may be a better questions for @@eezstreet...

  6. I have to say I admire your commitment to detail and perfection. I thought the previous version looked fantastic and ready for release, but the fact that you're starting over on the texture work just to get it that much better is very impressive.
