One day, KOTF mod team suggested that I translate English into Korean language and I accepted it.

But I thought it would be much better if I hand out Korean language mod pack that some people made few years ago.

Actually few years ago, I wanted to play JKA into my own language(Korean) tried to search for it. And finally I found it.  However I can't access download link. In order to do it, I had to upgrade member rank in the site which offered language pack.

It was Naver cafe. The Naver is most poplular serach engine site of Korean people. It offers multiple services such as cafe, blog and so on like yahoo.

And cafe is similar to jkhub forum but administrator can limit members' access varying posts. And the post which contained the download link was limited at that time. And the cafe was dying. It's about to turn into advertisement site. So members of korean patch creators began to leave that site and nobody can access and get that file.

I forgot this patch and played with only English. And a few days ago, I searched it and found that somebody uploaded it in his blog. So I could get it and deliver it to KOTF mod team.

But maybe I can upload it in JKA. Can I upload it?

Tested the patch. It works. Is this a fan-made patch? If so, it would be cool to find the ones who made it and ask if they would like to join in.

The people who made this is missing. Their site was sold out and became a advertisement page. I tried to find them but I couldn't.

Their legacy is this file, and this patch was missing for a time, too.  A brave man tried to find it and made it !

That's why I could find this and linked it here. The site I linked is his blog. But maybe he's not a programmer or translator.

It's lunge attack when you are wielding a staff.

I'm very annoying because of staff twirl attack. I've tried to limit that move through .sab file.
It disabled player's twirl attack but it couldn't disable npc's twirl attack. 

For example, JediMaster npc still uses twirl with dual_3(sab file including lungeAtkMove  LS_NONE).

So I have no way to disable. Is there another way?  Please help me.

Thanks to you, I'm playing a good saber combat in my game. But I have another question.

Maybe you know lungeAttack, and when you have a lightstaff, you can do a saberstaff twirl attack instead of lunge.

However, I want to make an enemy disable saberstaff twirl attack with 'lungeAtkMove  LS_NONE'.

It worked with player but doesn't work with npcs.  I'm annoying because of twirl attack. How can I limit and disable that move?

Disabling Heavy saberForm to all npcs and Walking during saber combat make it possible.  Of course, running during combat is much more advantageous but I think that's not.

Why do I have to run during battle?  Because there exists Heavy saberForm in the JKA.  So if I disable it from all npcs, I can block most of their attack.

I did and it worked !  I blocked and parried most of their attack with little damage.

1. You need a big value to 'ParryBouns' and also need 'AlwaysBlock'.

2. Saber Offense Lv. 3 and Defense Lv. 3 are required.

3. Walking is needed during the battle because you can parry and block attacks better during walking, and we must concentrate on an enemy via crosshair. Or, you won't block multiple attacks well.

4. You have to activate Force Protection and Force Absorb to make your character more invincible !  Upgrade your defense more more invincible.

5. If you're ready, fight him.

6. Walk to an enemy but don't attack suddenly. Parry and block attacks as much as you can. Wait for a chance to counterattack.

7. When the time has come, swing your saber to tear him apart. And back to the defense mode as fast as you can !

I felt that my character becomes Obi-wan Kenobi at that moment.

But because of that, defeating an enemy takes so long time.  Soresu, the ways of Mynock, it protects me perfectly but I felt bored during the battle.

And Heavy Form breaks this style so I had to run when the enemy uses it.

In my MBlock mod, I made the kick replace the lunge attack. Feel free to study that and take bits and pieces out of it

I modified your mod and applied to my game. I recreated 'block.cfg' and placed it to my base folder so that I can test it manual blocking.

Manual blocking worked fine !  But... kick doesn't work...  when I press [Crouch], [Forward] and Left Click, jaden does Lunge Attack instead of kicking.

I wonder how you replaced Lunge Attack to kick.  How did you do that?

I realized that I can't play saber form of the movie and comics in the JKA. The combat system is different between game and movie. I can upgrade defense skill by adding 'ParryBonus' and 'AlwaysBlock' in .sab file and Force Protection also works fine. And When I concentrate on an enemy using crosshair, I can parry his attack more precisely.  But with all of these method, The soresu in the movie doesn't equal to what I am doing.

So I concluded that it's a cake in the picture...  It's... just a bad dream... 

In episode 2 Attack of the Clone, Obi-wan used jedi mind trick to a merchant selling a drug(narcotics) to change his mind in the bar.

I don't know what happened to him but I assume that he restarted his life and got a good job. Maybe a few jedis used this skill to revise social misfits' minds for their lifes. But for their point of view, those chances to be changed their mind is uncommon.

Are there a few jedis using mind trick to purify mental patients?

Can a jedi be a psychiatrist?

In the past, Kyber crystal can be combined into one to make red lightsabers.  And Luke's lightsaber is also been made by this method.

But with Disney and deleting EU Universe, weird option has been made.

In their option, Sith's and Luke's lightsabers had not been made by this. The Crystal is natural one and just polluted by the dark side.

Luke also used natural Crystal to make his own lightsaber and his lightsaber didn't turn to red because he didn't fall to the dark side in new canon. (Well, he fall to it in Legend.)

I heard that Ahsoka's lightsaber is white color because it means the 'Gray Jedi'.

I heard when dark side user wields a lightsaber which contains natural clean crystal, the dark side of the Force pollutes it and it turns to red, but when the light side user wields that polluted red lightsaber, it turns to white.  But it never says it restores its own color. If its natural color was blue and turned to red, light side user can make it to white but not blue.

I don't like this option because it loses its own color and can't be restored forever !   I think combined crystal is better than this because it doesn't change its color.

What do you think of this crystal?

The emotion depends on our own mind. If you are thinking you are angry, it is actually you are angry. But if not, you are not angry. The phenomenon happens depending on our mind. So we don't have to feed that emotion.

In summary, you can divide into 'mind flow' and 'physical flow'. Your hands are moving held lightsaber to kill defeated enemy while you are cleaning your mind with peace of the Force.

Yes, It's... against Star Wars equation...   But it is possible then..

The question is this.  How can I use both 'kick' and 'saber throw' in the same system?

The player can only use saber throw or kick. But npcs can use both of them.  If I can be done with player, how can I do that?

It's a shame the author of the Kotor Stances never came up with a V3 that he promised.

I didn't hack this mod because I don't want to.  And I don't have ability to hack either. I just used ModView to see some animations and modified animation.cfg to rearrange animations.

I like Revan's fast stance so that I applied it to single_3 .sab file and revan's saber file.    I divided normal and special lightsaber stance. My jedi character and Revan are using 'Revan's fast stance'.

And others are using normal fast, medium, heavy stance.

This is Revan's fast stance.  I like it.     So I always use this.

I think it looks unbalanced to you because if you drew a straight line from his right leg to his hand or head the line would be leaning to the left.

 

The only fix would be to reanimate it. I think I food that with some of the force animations in the past. I'll check them out. I know I changed the saber hand to be compatible with the staff and backhand sabers.

It would be thankful if you help me fixing it.  But...  I'm using custom modified KOTOR stance.  If you can add your fixed animation to that mod, I can revise and apply.

In this, Rosh used a generic hilt in JKA but difference is only sabercolor.

Yeah... I also npc-spawned and wielded it.  It was short and small but very useful.

However when I knew it is 'Training saber', I felt weird.

By typing 'saber Training' in the console, you can earn it and activate. Therefore the lightsaber Rosh wielded in Training Area in the Jedi Academy in Yavin4 is just.... 'Training Saber'???

I can't help it...  The fact is this. It's not a special saber though its hilt is generic.

I think there's real Rosh's lightsaber in EU series.  Anyone knows?

I looked dictionary over and found a word 'goody'. I think it means a 'Hero' like superman or batman, who protects people from the crime and baddy.

The jedi also protects people and peace for the Republic and the galaxy !  So Are the Jedi a Hero?

I have somewhat deep philosophy about a goody. Hmm...  Someone around you may know Fate Stay Night(FSN) or Fate Zero(F/Z) anime in Japanese. There are two odd goody in this anime.  Emiya Kiritsugu and Emiya Shiro are them. When you seek the hero character in the Internet, you will find many but 'odd goody' does not grow on every hedge.

When there are 10 hostages, they must rescue them but not All of them. So they try to protect MOST of people by abandoning 1 person.

They tend to save 9 persons by throwing out 1 person. The Reality is ditch and sewer. Saving all of people is nearly impossible varying situation.

They were doing their heroship by doing this and finally encountered contradiction of their ideal of heroship.

Of course, they wanted to resuce All of them. It's their ideal of goody but it can't be done easily. By protecting people from something threat, opponents may have to defeated or die.

But their ideal of heroship teaches them to save the victim and attacker, Both of Them !   Isn't it funny?

Can jedi do this? To protect the galaxy and obey the balance of the Force, Isn't it the Jedi must obey and pursuit?

I think the Jedi must become a big person more than a goody.  To pursuit deep philosophy of protection, they have to prove their special meaning of Existence because they are Jedi in favorite movie of All around the World and Globe !!

When a jedi knight and a sith warrior duels with a lightsaber, and then if a sith warrior is defeated and about to be killed by the jedi...  He suddenly hesitates to strike him down because "It's not the jedi way."     Finally he refuses to kill him and turn off his lightsaber.  It's...  custom battle plot of original Star Wars. It is obeyed from the past series to recent series. But...  I cannot understand the 'Jedi Way'.
 
I'm asking very very important things to you.  The ways to Not Falling to the dark side.
In Force Unleashed, when starkiller was about to strike palpatine down with a lightsaber.  General Kota stopped him and began to persuade him. He said if he skrike him down with 'Anger', he will fall to the dark side.
 
It repeated in Force Unleashed 2. When Clone starkiller tried to cut Vader's head with his lightsabers, Kota also stopped him and persuade. He said the same words to him. 
 
The example also exists in many many series and also exists in fan-film movies in Youtube.
 
However...  I cannot understand Why?
Why do 'just striking target down' lead to the dark side?   Because of their emotion during slashing?
I was always thinking the jedi cannot do vital things when the important moment comes.
He must slash target so that he prevents feedback attack and counter-attack from defeated enemies. If the jedi heistates to strike him down and lets him live, the sith warrior would target the chance to reattack.  And...  the jedi is gone...     What a shame...  It's...  unwise to hesitate...

You strike him down.  But after that, you doesn't fall to the dark side.
Jedi can slash him down with No Anger !   It's easy to do this. Just close your eyes and keep your mind clean and don't feed that emotion.
And...  move your hand which holds activating lightsaber.  Now.. It's done. You've just finished him but you are still alive in the 'Jedi's Code.'

In Star Wars Rebels, the lightsaber jedi hold is much thinner than normal ones.

The lightsabers in previous animation, Clone Wars had the same thickness as original trilogy and prequel movies but SW:Rebels is not.

Why lightsabers in SW:Rebels have to be thinner than former series?

It looks special to lightsaber users but I think it doesn't fit to Star Wars.

After he came back to Lordaeron, his kingdom, he entered the throne room of the king and took off his hood. And he began to draw the Frostmourne and approached his father. After that, his father, Terenas Menethil asked "What is this? What are you doing, my son?".  Then, Arthas said "Succeeding you, Father.".  Then his sword pierced his father and he died. Although the way of killing their father is different, Arthas and Kylo commited the same crime. And the sort of lethal weapon is the same, dark sword, red cracked lightsaber. Both weapon is famous, too.

Arthas killed his father, Terenas.

Ben killed his father, Han.

I already wrote about what I didn't like in another topic. Here's what I did like:

 

1) Snoke's death: I didn't like the fact that he died - being such an alleged badass and all, but the way he died was still cool.

2) The fight scene in Snoke's throne room - it felt somehow amateurish, but I still enjoyed it, maybe it's exactly why I enjoyed it, I don't know. Was also glad to finally see the Imperial Royal Guards in action.

3) The scene where Rey and shirtless Kylo get connected through the Force - that was funny

4) When the Resistance's flagship hyperjumps through Snoke's flagship - that was epic!

5) The planet Crait (though I expected it to be spelled as Krayt) and the showdown, but I think some things should have been done differently.

 

Sadly, that's all.

1) Other people in Korea said that Snoke is stupid because of blind faith of his apprentice and his ego. Well, I think it's right.

2) I thought snoke's royal guards are Knights of Ren but in fact it was not. I was surprised that they could parry a lightsaber with their weapon and fight well.

3) It was a good chance to understand each other and solve their misunderstanding.  But killing his father shouldn't be forgivable !  It's against ethics in the world !  Especially ethics in Korea and China !   Do you remember Arthas Menethil?  He also killed his father and replace his side. He called an immoral person... What a shame... 'Immoral person'... this word doesn't fit to reproach fuck Kylo Ren bullshit !!   Yeah... He should be called 'motherfuc.."  No...  He killed his father so that he should be called 'Fatherfucker' !!!!!

4) It's against the custom of Star Wars.  If it is possible, the Death Stars in 4, 6 should have been destroyed by hyperspace used attack.

5) Finn and that woman spoiled and failed the Resistance. Therefore, many Resistance died because of 'CodeBraker' Bullshit !  They shouldn't have gone there and seeked him.
