  1. We might infer that is just a gameplay related thing and was done because it'd been too time consuming to create a new mechanic just for a one-mission weapon. 

     

    Just making disable the ammo with a saber was not easy for coding wizards.  But I'm not able to do that.

    I want to know how to disable deflecting a metal bullet with a saber including Repeater and Cycler Rifle in JKA single player.

    It seems that high level coding is needed.  Flechettle launcher's ammo doesn't be deflected so that its function can be applied to Repeater to do that.

    If anyone can do it, please show me the way.

  2. In the Star Wars universe an ak-47 or M16 or whatever would be considered a "slugthrower". Basically, its a bullet. A blaster bolt, like the E-11 or similar uses tibanna gas and power cells or whatever and somehow makes a shaped bullet, or blaster bolt, that is different from a bullet but is not a "laser". A "laser" would be the Disruptor rifle. 

     

    Now, a flechette you have to think as a shotgun that fires darts.Real world shotguns can fire them as well.  The Imperial Repeater acts a slugthrower since it throws metallic bolts but those bolts are ionized, so go figure what the heck that means.

     

    Now I understand the principle of that. But there are other questions to seek out.

     

    1. And then, Are Imperial Heavy Repeater and Flechettle launcher really 'SlugThrower'??  → I'm curious that it is really slugthrower. I want correct definition.

    2. I learned Cycler Rifle is really Slugthrower, but in JKA, Jaden and other jedi deflect and reflect the slug(bullet) that a tusken raider shot. Is its bullet slug and the same as repeater? Is the bullet of cycler rifle ionized, too?

  3. In JKA, there are weapons which use metallic bolts called metal bullet in real world.

     

    They are Imperial Heavy Repeater, Flechettle launcher.  (Concussion Rifle also uses it but... it's more similar to blaster...)

    So I have questions about that.

     

    In real world, many people including army use weapons which use metal bullets such as AK-47 and M16A1.

     

    1. Are AK-47 and M16A1 equal to Imperial Heavy Repeater and Flechettle launcher?

    2. Are metal weapon in real world equal to Imperial Heavy Repeater and Flechettle launcher in JKA? I think it's true because they uses metal bullet(Metallic bolts).

    3. The Jedi and dark jedi deflect and reflect these by a lightsaber even their projectile is metal.  Why?  They have to be melted because of plasma heat. I don't understand the principle.

     

    What do you think?

  4. Jaden can stop it, but not definitively, because Chulthu does not inhabit entirely in our universe, unless there is some Force power capable of projecting the user to another dimension, but Jaden can not do that.

     

    From that point of view, you're right.

    In Star wars, there's no dimension travel force power.  Even God Luke Skywalker couldn't do that. (I've heard that Luke made a Black Hole and throw it to the enemies...  But... if it is black hole...  The theory will be complicated...)

     

    Anyway, if two story universe can be cross-overed, we can discuss the possiblilty.

    Then, You said that jaden can stop him.  But I don't think so.  Because Cthulhu has cosmic horror power and can overwhelm everyone except powerful elder gods... outer gods...

    Although jedi is powerful, they can be eliminated by various tricks and traps, superior numbers, superior tactics.

    The power of each jedi varies respectively.  Maybe Luke, Kyle and Jaden will overwhelm and surpress thousands of soilders.  But... What about others?  Most of them are about halfway. That's why Clonetroopers could eliminate so many jedi.  Excepting council members or other special named ones, Most of them are about halfway.

     

    Besides, All gods in Cthulhu mythos are cosmic scale.   I think it fits in Star Wars universe because it treats inter-galaxy story(it's legend standard anyway...).  The galaxy is cosmic and universe, right?

    Azatoth is most powerful and lives out of multi-universe demension.   In Jedi's point of view, they can be also cosmic horror target.

     

    But it's better than normal human in real world.  We are all weak human.  Jack Walters is also powerless human, too.   But Jedi has special powers and can be more powerful by training. The talent is different by each of the jedi.

    I think they can even confront and maintain the battle for a while.....  however they will be exterminated one by one because of them.

     

    If jedi combines their power in one, maybe they can defeat Cthulhu and Dagon, but it would be not easy.

    But what about yog-sotos or Azatoth?  What about other Outer-gods? And Cthulhu has sibling and parents and grandparents, too.

     

    Therefore, my answer is that.

    Cosmic horror is always cosmic horror anywhere, The Star wars is not exception of this.

  5. I saw Ezra and Kanan's battle technique in Star Wars Rebels.

    It seems they don't kill stormtroopers and other enemies. They just try to reflect and deflect blaster bolts and cut E-11 blaster rifle instead of killing.

    And they seem to struggle the fight with just fool stormtroopers.  If they were Revan and Meetra, they would have already cut their head and hands and kill imperial commander and sith inquisitor.

     

    1. Why don't they kill stormtroopers and enemies?

     

    2. Why do they struggle with just weak solider?

    In LoveCraft novels, when stars fit in their path, his city rises from underwater and he regains cosmic horrible powers.

    And there are other gods, too.  Cthulhu is just one of the powerful man in Cthulhu myth.

     

    But...  I hope Nodens will help jaden to fight him.

    Cthulhu is the great old ones and has wonderful power with making someone's mind madness!
    But Jaden Korr with powerful Force Powers(with activating cheat codes  :D) and a lightsaber, he is strong enough to defeat anyone including Luke and Kyle.
     
    I want to fight with Cthulhu with Jaden.   And I want result !

  8. Do you know about Cthulhu Mythos?

    I have an idea about it.

    If you search 'call of cthulhu dark corners of the earth', there are infos about it.

    Actually I've played it and seen A and D ending.  That was so great... but it was sad that the Cthulhu didn't show up himself. I wanted to see that the player crashes the Cthulhu with 'the steam ship'.

     

    Therefore I want to request Call of Cthulhu single player game!

    When a player(jedi) arrives at the village, you find and confront religious fanatics of Cthulhu.

    They will dance at a place with special spells that can maintain and summon the Cthulhu.

     

    Unfortunately, the stars fit in their path and all tasks are clear, Cthulhu appears.

    The jedi has to fight with him and defeat.  But the force power and lightsaber attack doesn't work.

    So he or she decides to use the 'steam ship' to kill him.

  9. Not a coder or anything, and can't say much about point number 2, but it seems that the code sets the max Force energy the player can be given to 100. You can try that with a simple give force command: Kyle's Force energy will suddenly get to 100 before slowly going back to 200. I can assume it's a hardcoded limit for the interactions with Force Absorb too.

     

    My concern is second problem. The possibility of this error is very low, but when it happens, I can't do anything except quiting the game.

  10. When I use Kyle kartan as a player character, I can use 200 force power maximum.

    When I activate Force Absorb, it decreases from 200 to 170.  Yes, it costs 30 points to activate as you know.

    1. But during activation, if an enemy uses force lightning or other force powers to me, the force point decreases from 170 to 100 !!

    2. And Force Absorb skill sometimes block keyboard consoles. When it happens, I can't move my character with keyboard except using mouse to look around.

     

    Why did this happen?  Why can't I absorb and store more than 100 point using Force Absorb?

    Why also did this error occur?  Now I'm scared to use it because of this error.

    If there's a way, please show me the path.

     

     

  11. I'd strongly disagree with.. pretty much everything stated. Soresu is, conceptually, a maximized defense. While fast style (blue) has the best defense against blasters, it is absolutely useless against virtually everything else. What you're looking for is strong style (red) for the best available defense.

     

    "There's no defense button and it has auto defense system but it is not useful." <- While there is no defense button, the auto defense system is extremely useful (although it's not really much of an "auto defense," its more of a skilled timing defense). However, it's based on a series of principles that explain exactly when it will react and how it will react to a given hit. I've actually broken that down piece by piece here if you want to read and get an idea of how complicated (and how effective) blocking can be. You'll mostly wanna look to sections 1-3 for all the essentials. Minimal of 1-2 for swing stage and defensive/offensive stances.

     

    "Medium and Heavy are not fast enough to block and counter."<- This part is simply not true. Red is the only style I would ever block and counter with, and the parry from a red hit (keep in mind, the game has inbuilt parries, not just a general counter) is exceptionally quick once you've caught the block. Medium is not advisable for blocking though, to be fair. In terms of general countering though, I would still say medium is the better option than fast because it deals more damage, has a slightly higher block rating, has vastly superior range for its swings, and is only slightly slower.

     

    "With this, you can catch the opponent's weak points easier than before. You can slash enemy's weak points when he or she attacks while running." <- I would strongly advise against ever walking in a fight. Speed is your greatest ally, however, if you must walk, I'd use it for blocking as the only practical reason.

     

    "So I want to emphasis on dodging with the Force Jump." <- If we're talking SP, then that's fine generally. But for MP gameplay, jumping away in retreat from your opponent will usually be a death sentence against better opponents. The emphasis here should be on dodging on the ground, focused on distance & movement (hence my earlier speed comment). However, if you have to jump, I suggest understanding how strafing works first. If you feel like reading an unnecessary amount of text, you can look here for an explanation of how strafe jumping works or here for how it is realistically applied, I'd suggest the former since I haven't updated the latter in a while. Alternatively, there are fancy videos at the end of both those posts that show key presses and how it works so you don't have to read my wall of text. :P

     

    "You have to switch from walking to running in order to avoid siege attacks"<- Oh! And the strafing thing works when you're running around on the ground too.

     

    Hope some of that helps! I might have spent way too much time learning how JKA works so if you have questions about any of it I can probably answer. It could also help if you mentioned if this was for SP fighting or MP fighting because that makes a bit of a difference.

     

    I want to beat Alora_dual in SP more securely. That's my best goal.

    In precisely, I should win her without HP loss, without my mental hurt, and with good mood !

    I've tried more than 100 times to fight her in Taspir III and beaten her but it was not acceptable and clean.

    When I dual with a lightsaber wielder, there must be much damage. I don't want to take damages. But I don't wanna use God mode, too.

    I'm not using MP. I only play SP because MP doesn't work in my computer. However I don't mind whether it works or not.

     

    So I've searched maximum defense form like soresu. It will be reasonable to take much less damage.

    But it's not practical to take less than 1 damage. I wanted to find out how can I fight more exciting with less damage.

    Therefore I created my own style with fast style... But it was not perfect.

    Blue style doesn't fit in blocking saber slash attacks although it blocks blaster bolts well.

    And I prefer walking instead of running because of my mental status.

    When I'm using running during saber battle, my mental status goes bad. But with walking, I feel better than before.

    And slashing with walking is better for me to fight and beat units who has lower health gauge bar.

    And Force Protection is needed to create my soresu style.

  12. The Fast Form is the best JKA form that is closest to Soresu. Even though you can damage opponents with it, as opposed to Soresu being 100% defensive, the Fast Form fits it the best.

     

    I always use Fast Form in lightsaber combat and think it's a good style.

    But with only the fast form, it's not enough to create complete soresu form in JK2 and JKA.

    We have to recreate soresu style in JKA so that we don't have to let the opponent attack me.

    To do this, we need multiple means.

     

    1. Fast Form

    As you say, the fast form fits perfectly soresu because it deflects almost of the blaster bolts and counterattacks almost of the opponent's attacks.

    Medium and Heavy are not fast enough to block and counter. And the fast form can catch the opponent's weak points which reveals when he or she uses slower form against the fast form.

     

    2. Walking

    In order to do more secure lightsaber combat, you need to do walking instead of running. With this, you can catch the opponent's weak points easier than before. You can slash enemy's weak points when he or she attacks while running. And your mind will be in peace and unbend you mind. Of course, it heals player's mind. It's good for your mental health.

     

    3. Dodge

    But it's not enough to do secure combat with these two method, we need more means.

    So I want to emphasis on dodging with the Force Jump. You won't be able to block and defend and parry all of enemy's attack. They will crush your defense and slash your body into you. JKA defense system is not perfect. There's no invincible defense in this game. So you have to avoid from the enemies.

     

    4. Force Protection

    The soresu Form cannot be completed without this. You have to gain force protection Lv.3 to increase your defense ability. (75% defense up !)

    With this skill, you can guard and counterattack like obiwan-kenobi.

     

    5. When you confront multiple opponents while you're using soresu

    1~4 methods are based on 1 VS 1 lightsaber combat but not 1 VS N.

     

    1) You have to switch from walking to running in order to avoid siege attacks ! You can't confront multiple enemies while walking. It's too dangerous !! So keep running !

     

    2) You need to use fast form, dodging, force protection unlike switching to running.

     

     

    It's my soresu style in JKA. How's your thinking?

  13. In JKA lightsaber combat system, It's not easy to fight with a lightsaber like Star wars movie.

    There's much damage and I can't bear it.

    There's no defense button and it has auto defense system but it is not useful.

     

    I want to fight more securely in JKA.

    In fact, I want to use Form III: soresu in JKA so that I can have less damage.

    Soresu...... well known defense Form.....

    Is it possible to use it in JKA game?

     

    Please keep in mind that I use only a single saber.

    I'm not good at dual or staff.

    In first video, the player tries to avoid attacks as much as possible and takes a chance for a countattack.

    This style is useful in MP but doesn't fit in my method.

    In second video, the player uses walking instead of running,

    and uses fast or Heavy form, and uses Force Protection to confront the opponent.

    This style fits a little to me but only in the 1 vs 1 combat.

    This style doesn't fit in the 1 vs N (against multiple opponents). In the 1 vs N, I have to switch from walking to running in order to avoid siege attacks !!

    I can't stand fighting with this style in the 1 vs N.

     

    I've tried both of styles but was not useful for my secure playing.

    I'm trying to find a way to play secure combat playing but it doesn't work.

     

    Is there a reasonable way to fight securely with a lightsaber in JKA?

    Please tell me if you know how to do it.

  14. In fact, I am using KOTF, so in spite of Dosuun mission fighting with Rax, I can use a lightsaber because of KOTF system.

    The lightsaber is a default weapon in KOTF.

    A few days ago, I got a way to let Jaden lost his force powers with 'setforceall 0' cheat code.

    But with lightsaber, I still could use all of the stance(Fast,Middle,Heavy) in spite of no force power.

    And there was no damage with blaster bolts though Jaden didn't have 'Lightsaber Defense'.

    The blaster bolts just go through him without any damage. It seemed to be an error.

     

    So I want to remove all of the weapon, ecspecially I want to remove the lightsaber in his inventory.

    How can I do that?

    And you can bind those to keys if you want. Still not sure why you'd want this outside of scripting a level, but whatever. :P

     

    I've tested it and its' effect was 'very' good.

    The 'very' means that it blocks all of Jaden's movement.

    Power lock effect was good but I couldn't run and walk for a distance. I can't move Jaden!

    In JK2, at the beginning of 'Nar Shadda Street' mission, there's a lock of all of attack and force powers.

    I couldn't take out any weapons and use any force powers.

    The only thing I can do was just running around and walking.

    There were no movement when I click any of mouse and keyboard buttons. It was not working!

     

    1. What is this feature? Power lock system?

    I looked it in NOVA, too. When Nova entered Cantina in Tatooine with Jan, she couldn't do any attack movement by mouse and keyboard.

     

    2. Is there a way to activate this feature? I want to use it.

    And also if the way exists, is there a way to deactivate this feature?
