If your master contains changes from the origin, then yes, those numbers are intended. You may need to squash down commits.

If it's whitespace issues, then Meld should nnot be bringing them up? (I don't know, I use KDiff, long live GNU)

Topic moved.

The paths aren't hardcoded. It searches from cvar paths fs_homepath, fs_basepath and fs_cdpath. However both operations failed with "Failed" instead of "could not find" so I wonder if there is something wrong with the programming. Where did you place rd-vanilla?

I can't say that I personally am a fan (they changed too much I think) but they did a pretty good job putting a trailer together. The editing is pretty nice. But the animations could be a lot better.

PHP JediKnight server controller
eezstreet replied to erfg12's topic in Jedi Knight General Discussions
This thread has been moved to Jedi Knight General Discussion as it doesn't make sense being in Ideas and Issues. Anyway, +1 for this. -
For those not in the loop: Lavinia is a character in Titus Andronicus, a Shakespeare play taking place in Roman times and follows the revenge of said titular character. The play is also known as the Rape of Lavinia because during the play, said character had uh...said action done to them and it was kinda a big plot point. (She also had her hands and tongue decapitated so she couldn't identify her accusers. Fun stuff!) Therefore, using it as a clan name seems a bit tasteless, but I can't exactly fault you for picking a name for the reasons that you did. EDIT 6/27/15: but this does not mean that I think the conversation on this matter should be continued. See below for the original name Lavinia, as mine is a Shakespeare interpretation. Either way, welcome to our community. Just don't be picking fights and going all aggro on everyone. I've edited a bunch of your posts as they go a bit over the top. Try not to do this again.

The bug of the map after the light compiling
eezstreet replied to Langerd's topic in Modding Assistance
Did you check your console? -
Just open the .bsp with notepad++. The entities are right at the end of the file. I think you're wrong though; I'm pretty sure decompiling the map doesn't remove the entities in the bsp.

JK2 uses QVMs instead of DLLs like JA does, meaning that mod compilation works cross platform. What I'd like to see one day is someone taking the 1.02 QVM code, applying several fixes but leaving the gameplay intact, so that players don't have to downgrade. All the hate towards 1.03/1.04 is based purely on stuff which isn't in the engine.

It seemed like everyone wanted to make a damn mobile card game and get a slice of Hearthstone's pie, but to be honest I don't think there's much point in trying. Blizzard does what they do well, and if Starcraft, World of Warcraft and Diablo (well to be fair it's more of a problem of most Diablo clones being shite, Diablo 3 is a very flawed game) are any indication, you're going to get burned if you try and compete against them. That being said, Bethesda put on a good show despite it being their first, which is great because all the other developer conferences were very boring. Whomever thought it was a great idea to have Pelé on main stage and ramble about bicycles and chicks (?) was not thinking clearly tbh. Ubi and EA were basically predictable conferences: - Driving game? Need for Speed/Ubisoft's driving game (it looked so boring and forgettable tbh), plus Trackmania. - CO-OP game? Rainbow Six Siege, Garden Warfare - Rhythm game? Just Dance. Surprisingly no Rocksmith or Rock Band, despite the latter coming out soon and the former being a 2-year offering (next should be 2016 edition) - Sports? Check. This year over half the EA conference time was spent on yearly sports offerings. - Wildcard? Check. Yarn game, surprisingly no Rayman. - FILLER: Ass Creed and Pelé talking - Showing the same game as last year because it got delayed? Mirror's Edge, The Division (is this game coming out? It's been at 3 E3 events) - And then, actually interesting content: Battlefront (which didn't blow me away that much tbh, it still looks like the original but better graphics, nothing new besides a horde mode which seems almost standard in today's shooters) and South Park game. At least Ubisoft were kind enough to show their stuff off at the beginning. Bethesda conference was a lot more interesting because it captured the conferences of 7-8 years ago: there were games that weren't announced (to the public) which had gameplay and a reasonable timeframe of release. Barely any CGI present. They showed off stuff which was interesting and fresh, and it didn't seem at all like these were suits (or ffs, Aisha Tyler, aka I Need A Tylenol), they seemed like people genuinely interested with the games they're making, and I respect that. E3 isn't a trailer-fest and it wasn't supposed to be.

That's a really weird name to give your clan, given...Lavinia. Just sayin. I guess the name rolls off the tongue well.

Looks moovelous. -
Try searching for a mod here titled "All Seeing Eye", it might not be a problem on your end.

What happens when you do "git mergetool"?
-
I like the idea. It would be even better with a server browser with one-click joining. Now that being said, the source code is a bit...messy and the interface could use some work. But it's definitely a good effort so far.

If there's a difference in behavior when the cvars are the same, it's probably due to a difference in compiler, and maybe (this is a big maybe) you can compile it under VS2003 which is what Raven used. I don't even think you can get 2003 anymore besides pirating it anyway. On topic: we would need staff that's qualified for it. I'm not opposed to having a player community coordinator at all, we'd just have to do a normal hiring run. That being said, there would have to be some changes to how JKLeague works if it were to merge with us. Starting with dropping one of the US servers and getting an EU server.

Terrain isn't used and doesn't do anything under normal circumstances. It's used for Random Map Generation. I never got that to work properly, but it's basically a port from SOF2 to JKA.

.skin files aren't used for weapon models.

Simpler way (2 steps, assuming Meld is installed correctly): git pull upstream git mergetool Depending on the tool, some conflicts will be resolved automatically but that doesn't mean that they will be resolved correctly! Make sure to review the merge difflog and squash afterwards.

Bounty Hunter: Is it Canon?
eezstreet replied to DarkForcesII's topic in Star Wars Franchise Discussions
I think it's fairly safe to say that it's dubiously canon . The new movies will most likely not deal with the Fett bloodline, since for all intents and purposes, Boba Fett is dead post Ep6 in the current canon. -
Will you be seeing The Force Awakens on opening night?
eezstreet replied to Circa's topic in Latest Poll
Puh-lease. Like the EU had very many good stories anyway. -

Star Wars Rebels (2014) Negative Criticism Thread
eezstreet replied to Cerez's topic in Art, Media & Technology
Then let there be conflict. It makes for much more interesting conversation than having a thread devoted to dogging on it.
