  1. I never said that TFA is going to be any better storywise. However I think your argument is a bit silly. "The names are silly" is exactly what people have been saying since A New Hope. Plus I don't think that you can judge a story based on how silly stuff looks anyway.
  2. I don't think that comparing JA to this movie in a favorable way is a good idea, since JA had such a trash story, especially compared to the game that came immediately before it. Also the cultists didn't worship Vader. They worshipped Ragnos, because...reasons. It's not exactly specified why, and this is one of the reasons, like I stated above, why JA's story is complete trash.
  3. Changed. Nice work, @@Circa.
  4. ....?
  5. End which part happening? This also controls the cinematic. Tell me what you want to do here.
  6. Some notes about this ICARUS command that isn't documented at all anywhere and is actually broken. This one is identical to SET_MISSIONFAILED, use that one instead. If you want to repurpose this SET_ command, feel free to do so. The code is handled in Q3_Interface.cpp if you want to repurpose it for something else.
  7. You spelled my username wrong
  8. My current sig doesn't match my avatar. Does someone want to make me a new one? The avatar is part of the album art for Faith No More's "King for a Day...Fool for a Lifetime"
  9. I think Archangel is right, the movie makeup screenshot is the most accurate one to follow. Remember that the face isn't getting rigged to JKA's skeleton, it's getting rigged to a custom one. Facial expression will be modified by mood, and compensating for the model will lead to distortion. You need the face to be absolutely relaxed as possible otherwise you'll get the JA effect of the face being distorted by two different emotions being played at the same time.
  10. Greetings.
  11. JKA/JK2 uses a custom scripting system known as ICARUS. I don't know if EF used it, but I believe it does (the cinematic camera code is identical). BehavED is a GUI program that makes scripting easier and more akin to Kismet. You don't need BehavED to write ICARUS scripts; it just eliminates the need to learn its (bizarre) syntax.
  12. That's not what I asked, but thanks for the info. Where in the PK3 are you putting the shader? Something else you can try: find which .shader file the wake shader is defined and replace it with a new .shader that has your modified one in it.
  13. Where are you putting the water shader in your PK3? Are the JPGs saved as progressive?
  14. Reached the 5000 post count. New avatar time. Different band this time.

Changed his avatar?! That's it, he's gone barking mad! XD

Wait, your old one was a band logo? I thought it was a stylistic Venom, from Spider-Man all this time! =/

^ OMG MagSul, I thought the exact same thing XD.

  15. Slight bump, the C/C++ primer is now available here: http://jkhub.org/tutorials/article/200-c-and-c-primer/ I haven't received any feedback at all on it, and it would be much appreciated.
  16. Nope, unfortunately.
  17. I've had a G11 before and I also had a stuck key, but mine was the L key. It's a common problem with this particular keyboard.
  18. Are you putting the shader into a PK3? What .shader is the original wake shader in? What is the name of your .shader file? Unrelated, but I'm pretty sure GL_ONE GL_ONE is the wrong blendFunc. This is equivalent to blendFunc identity if I'm not mistaken.
  19. The shader is called "wake", and you'll need to replace that, not "gfx/misc/splash"
  20. You state a reason why it would be good to sign up to the forums and then say you have no reason to sign up to the forums. MBII/zz_MBModels.pk3 being wrong checksum doesn't prove anything because the PK3 is always different on client/server (intentionally) Remove the cgamex86.dll from Gamedata. It doesn't belong there.
  21. Why don't you just get an MB2 account instead? I really don't get your aversion to it. Try checking My Games folder for DLLs. I've had issues before with those DLLs conflicting.
  22. You should really be posting these types of issues on their forums, not here. This place isn't frequented by MB2 staff.
  23. There's an effect used named env/water_impact. I think that's when you jump into a shallow pool of water though.
  24. Anyway, is anyone going to pick this one up?
  25. Nope. *snore* Another artist's tool. I'm more excited about xsngine honestly.
