  1. [red]Thread locked. [/red] 1. Do not hijack threads. 2. The OP doesn't seem to be around. He hasn't been active in almost two months. 3. ???? 4. Profit (from not having threads locked) If @@Auslander66 returns I will unlock this thread for him/her.
  2. It's not failing to create uix86.dll, it's succeeding. So I'm not sure why it would be crashing. It seems to be crashing in uix86.dll itself.
  3. I don't get why people say that KotF's NPC spawner is good. Isn't it just a menu with lots of NPCs to spawn?
  4. This looks more like an issue with mods colliding. What PK3s are in the base folder?
  5. I have written a compatibility patch for Ultimate Weapons. @@Tompa9 do you want to try it and see if it works? https://jkhub.org/files/file/2849-jedi-academy-enhanced-ultimate-weapons-compatibility-patch/
  6. I don't know. Did JK:E alter anything involving weapons.dat? If not, then no, it wouldn't be. OpenJK didn't modify anything involving weapons.dat aside from adding features.
  7. I know only command-line git. I don't use any fancy apps. Assuming you've made commits, all you need to do is: git push origin
  8. I don't see why it wouldn't be. Ultimate Weapons doesn't modify anything that JK:E does. It would help if you could give more detailed information - what error message is being shown when you try to use Ultimate Weapons? Ignore me, my mistake. What PK3s do you have in your base folder?
  9. Player model creation is not specific to JKA. It's specific to Blender. There are some steps at the end to get the model in game but I get the impression you aren't that far yet. If you want to learn about creating humanoids, perhaps you could try Blender's official tutorials on doing so.
  10. @@Darth Futuza / @@Silverfang Perhaps this would be better if we developed a default vendor treasureclass and figured out what should be changed for each map. I have "genericvendor" set as the current default for all jkg_target_vendors, but it can be changed on a per-vendor basis.
  11. @@SomaZ, sure, that seems okay.
  12. No, it's -more- difficult for modders because it means that you have to have the same rig in a video editing software. All you need the do is improve the texture (it has the wrong font and it's low res), improve the background and the sound. The way they have it rigged is actually quite clever. I see no reason to change it, it's just a bigger hassle.
  13. Why even make it a video? There's nothing wrong with how the title crawl works currently.
  14. This. KotF has no potential. It already has a tarnished name and ultimately it's just a hodgepodge of other people's content. If you remove that content, you have nothing left.
  15. Yes, I mentioned that this would be an issue earlier. I can't remember off the top of my head how I handle this. I believe the way to do it is involves axes/axis functions? Dunno. Maybe @@Scooper knows, I always defer vector-related questions to him.
  16. Are these ones that you've made? There can only be three that are submitted.
  17. ...Force Sense (rank 2 and above) in singleplayer actually eliminates all of the spread on your weapons. Who knew? Proof that this is true for the bowcaster at least
  18. No. Unfortunately this is something I have to put as a strong requirement - there's quite a lot of users that run higher than 1440p (although I am not one of them) and it'd be better to not see any stretching or pixelation. I can't think of how you'd be able to take a screenshot ingame that's larger than your desktop resolution.
  19. Ignore it. It's incorrect.
  20. So now that I've rewritten all of the item code, the time has come to discuss (properly) what items are going to go on what maps. Currently we have these maps: Spaceport (Imperials vs Black Sun) Jawa Fortress (Jawas vs Tusken Raiders) Does this map work? Lower Coruscant (Imperials vs Black Sun) Tatooine Arena (Red vs Blue) This map should have pretty much balanced. It's an arena setting. All weapons available? Nightfall (???? vs ????) We need to figure out what we're going to do about this map. The shops aren't that well-placed currently. Bespin Exhaust Shafts (Ugnaughts vs Bespin Cops) 10-15 total picks Basic Weapons (weight = 10): Advanced Trandoshan Pistol (Ugnaughts only, weight 4); Trandoshan Pistol (Ugnaughts only, weight 4); FWG-5 Flechette Pistol (Both teams, weight 6); Bryar Pistol (Cops only, weight 4); DE-10 Snub Pistol (Cops only, weight 2);Intermediate Weapons (weight = 10): E-11 Carbine (both teams, weight 8); LT-60 Slugthrower Carbine (both teams, weight 10); ACP Array Gun (Ugnaughts only, weight 5); Bryar Rifle (Cops only, weight 5); Heavy Bowcaster (Ugnaughts only, weight 4); Double Barrel Array Gun (Cops only, weight 2)Heavy Weapons (weight = 8): Pulse Cannon (Cops only, weight 10), T-21 Repeater (Cops only, weight 8); Packered Mortar Gun (Ugnaughts only, weight 10); Class E Thermal Detonators (Ugnaughts only, weight 2)Equipment (weight = 6): Bacta Canister (both teams, weight 20); Seeker Drone (both teams, weight 5); Cryoban Grenade (both teams, weight 4); Code-Key Grenade (both teams, weight 15), Mk 1 Trip Mines (both teams, weight 12)Armor (weight = 10): ...to be included when damage types are done
  21. It's correct on the forum thread- the deadline is May 25th, 2016.

  24. Hello everyone. The staff has been a bit busy and unfortunately our new background contest fell to the limelight. We regret the mistakes that were made with this background contest, so we are now officially reviving it! Here are the details of this contest: "After the recent success of the JKHub Holiday Competition, and much staff discussion, we have started a new competition. This time, it will be something a little bit different. Instead of focusing on something designed with the game in mind, we will be focusing on screenshots. Originally, JKHub used a picture of the level t1_fatal. We hosted a screenshot competition in 2014, two years after JKHub was opened to the public, and the current background is the winner of this competition. Fast forward to today. JKHub is turning four years old this year, and we haven't had a background change in several years. We need something new to keep the site fresh. So, we are announcing our second official Background Contest. The winning entry of this contest will become the new background for JKHub. Here are the official rules of this competition:The art must be submitted by May 25th, 2016. Winners will be determined over a week-long voting period.Winners will be determined via a voting system similar to the Holiday Competition.Artwork must be a minimum of 1900x1200 pixels in size. The larger, the better! Ideally, your work should look good on all resolutions.Screenshots must depict content which is only available in the base game, or official Raven Map Packs. Hand-made artwork / concept art is also acceptable.Screenshots may be of content in JK2 or JKA only. Submitted artwork must be related to JK in some way.You may submit up to 3 pieces of content for this competition. But you may be wondering, why would we hold a competition to change a part of the website, when the prospect of a JKHub 2.0 is looming? In truth, it will take a while to develop JKHub 2.0, even after the software we need becomes available. In the meantime, some small improvements to the website and minor changes, such as the background, will be enough to keep the site fresh while we all wait for JKHub 2.0. More details and information about JKHub 2.0 will be given as we learn more. We are constantly tweaking the website, and continue to evaluate new options to engage the community, in order to bring everyone together." This time around, the submissions will be taken from replies to this topic. The other topics will be locked. Click here to view the article
